Bought this fridge 5 months ago. Price was good. It is a very square fridge with no smooth edges. Our last fridge was a Westinghouse of similar size and you can just notice how our new fridge looks cheaper. Even the Westinghouse logo looks cheaper spoiling the look of the fridge. The door storage with movable left to right sections is good. Plenty of space in the fridge and freezer. Ice maker works well. Temperature control in freezer is too loose and easily knocked to settings you don’t want. Electricity cable at back of fridge comes out right next to hot compressor which is a bit worrisome. LED lighting and temperature control in fridge is great. It is a lower priced fridge but compared to our old Westinghouse of similar price and size you can see how visually it ... My last few fridges have been Westinghouse’s, they’re consistently good quality for a reasonable price. This one is no exception. The size is perfect, the layout inside is super functional. And it looks so good! My only (small) complaints are: if I add a couple of lukewarm containers to the fridge, it works so hard to cool down that it sounds like the whole fridge is rattling. The noise drives me insane. It settles eventually, but I’ve never had this issue before and I can’t find a way to stop it. Also the freezer door just has one kind of “pocket” as a storage shelf. So you can slip in packets of peas etc. but it’s kind of deep so if things get frozen hard they can be tricky to get out, and there’s wasted storage opportunity above (could have been two shelves like ... There are so few right hand fridges in the market, but we were lucky to find this Westinghouse that fitted our space perfectly and was spacious enough for an empty nester's needs. Unfortunately, due to COVID, despite the agreed delivery date being in July (I ordered in May), we did not get the fridge til September, and that only occured after I followed up (no communication whatsoever during this time). The first fridge arrived and was installed following the instructions in the book. Unfortunately after it had turned on and settled in, there was a thudding noise everytime we opened the fridge door. It was later confirmed as a badly welded door hinge and a brand replacement was offered. The 2nd fridge arrived in a week and we now have a thudding problem with the ... I have ordered multiple appliances from Appliances Online over the last few years. Very happy with the service. However I'm really disappointed with this fridge. We bought it 4 months ago. We had a Westinghouse with 2 vege drawers at the bottom for over 10 years. It was a dream to use. Replaced with this one which has a single vege drawer. This is the worst feature of this fridge. The drawer gets stuck every time pulling out and you need to bend over and use both hands to align it, wiggle the drawer to put it back in. Sometimes it doesn't go in properly and this stops the door of the fridge from closing. I cry and cringe. The thought of using it for 10 years fills me with despair. We were after a fridge/freezer combo with plenty of room but weren't keen on the French door models. This one certainly has plenty of room. It also runs pretty quietly so far. The ice feature is a nice extra once you figure out how to release the ice. Cons: the doors are extremely heavy and difficult to open from the side. It really should have handles mounted on the front of the fridge. The crisper bin is awful. Most of its volume is taken up by the compressor, which intrudes into the space at the bottom of the fridge. The crisper draw is very difficult to open and close. Constantly gets stuck. Overall, wouldn't really recommend this fridge. Probably a mistake not to go for a French door model. It's just too awkward to use.
Almost 3 years in and I always feel glad that I bought this. So much space and compartments. Adjustable settings. Coldest freezer setting goes until -18 which was such a convenient after having a baby as I can now store breastmilk. Shelves from glass and compartments from plastic very sturdy though holds alot of weight! Not gonna lie though the deal breaker that made me choose this fridge was the ice compartment lol and its been an absolute convenience. The size of the fridge is absolutely perfect for the kitchen cabinet. Definitely no regrets purchasing this
It's quiet. It's enclosed at rear so no vermin can hide there. Works well. Seems to be low on power use. Door shelving works well. Vegetable crisper gets wet & takes both hands to close ... irritating. Frustrating trying to get ice cubes out of trays. When the door is open there's an extra piece on the front of the fridge at floor level that juts out. It's a trip hazard. Generous size for just 1 person.
Considering our previous fridge was 30 years old, this was a jump into the future! So many great features; generous capacity, ice cube maker - aweseome, temperature controlled grate. When first installing, it took longer than expected to come down to temperature, but now - all good. Cold beer - good. Storage for big fruit & veg purchases - good. And VERY happy with service from AO online, on the phone and in person/delivery dudes. And then there's the price - outstanding!
Very happy with my new Westinghouse 431l top mount fridge, had to buy a new one after my old 11 year old Westinghouse house stopped working, and I lost all my food .. however I'm more than happy with my new fridge, it's whisper quiet, keeps all my food cool and fresh, has plenty of room both in the fridge and freezer for my son and myself . Delivery guys were awesome, they carried my new fridge up 3 flights of stairs and took away my old fridge as well. I highly recommend purchasing this fridge, it does everything I want and need
This fridge works well, but layout not as good as previous same size top freezer Westinghouse. Disappointed usability can become less. Still best option of limited set. - Crisper is one full width draw with no runners. Difficult to get in and out - miss previous deli meat draw. Didn’t take much shelf space - Essentially, top slide outs take place of a shelf. Probably would have preferred shelf - Miss previous wine rack. Previous one does not miss this fridge. Could have bottle in wine rack and squeeze small bottles/cans under - only one deep shelf in freezer door previous had two medium depth
