I am a NZ customer, and I got excellent service from AOL and I really like the product. My "but" is that when I asked AOL that the purchase price be exclusive of Aus GST at 10% as the product was for export , the answer was "we can't do that, you need to pay the GST then claim it back from the ATO" - or words to that effect. So I paid both Aus GST of about $200 then NZ GST of $300. When I contacted ATO they advised that the vendor (AOL) could have supplied me the product GST exclusive as they know that it was for export, and that now I would have to jump through a jungle of hoops to reclaim the Aus GST that I had paid. I decided that I may lose the will to live if I ventured on that journey.
