Fine for the price. I easily found this 275g sample jar of cranberry sauce and it was priced at $2. 65. I always have a jar on hand for frittatas, pastries, toasted sandwiches, turkey schnitzels and of course roast turkey etc. Last year I made my own cranberry sauce and was surprised how much sugar was required to make the cranberries palatable, so I understand why there is so much sugar added to this product. This high sugar content explains why this sauce comes with a 2 1/2 star health rating. It contains only 34% cranberries, the rest is sugar and water. I usually use another brand which contains whole cranberries and contains 47% cranberries which I prefer. However the jars appear identical except the branded one doesn’t state where the cranberries come from or ... MoreFine for the price. One wonders if these products are from the same factory. This jar states once opened refrigerate and use within 28 days of opening. Personally I think it would last longer than that in the fridge. I am glad to see the sauce contains No Artificial Colours, Flavours or Preservatives. I note that it is made in the UK from North American Cranberries. On opening the sauce I found the berries were not whole and the sauce was quite thick and jelly-like, requiring thinning down a little to get a better consistency to use. The flavour was good. This product is fine for the price, however, I do prefer the branded one that I am used to. I would purchase this in the future if the other product was unavailable.

Thank you cranberry much. I had a tough time finding this little bottle in stock, and I was keen to buy this Woolies Cranberry Sauce and not a branded one, so I kept looking lI finally found it in stock before Christmas and bought it to have in sandwiches around the Christmas period. The cranberry sauce costs $2. 10 for 275g which is cheaper than the branded ones. The consistency is thick and jellylike and goes well with croissants. I’d prefer locally made but atleast we know where they’re from. The taste was slightly tangy and was good in the croissants and would also go well with a roast dinner. Cranberry Sauce. Thank you Bunch for the chance to try this sauce. I buy cranberry sauce once a year at Christmas time and I will admit I tend to buy the brand version only because its a one off purchase and can justify spending the extra when its only once a year and its for Christmas. I did take me awhile to try this as I don't really eat turkey outside of the festive season and I didn't really know what else to do with it! I ended up buying some slices of Turkey from the deli and made up sandwiches with the cranberry sauce, turkey, rocket and camembert cheese. The sauce complimented it all nicely and sampling the sauce of its own it was perfectly fine and I would make the switch to this one for my once a year purchase as I'm essentially paying more for virtually ... MoreCranberry Sauce. Turkey Booster. I liked the bright colourful jar and the fact that you could clearly see the contents inside. The size is very good but I usually only buy this at Xmas and for our smaller size gathering I'd love a smaller jar as an option too so it doesn't just sit in the fridge and eventually get thrown out. I love that it's made from real fruit and there are no artifical colours, flavours or preservatives and that the only ingredients are cranberries, sugar and water. However I would have preferred more cranberries (only 34%) and less sugar. I liked the overall flavour but found it a little too sweet and would have preferred it a little more tart like natural cranberries. I had it in a toasted Turkish bread sandwich with turkey slices and Swiss cheese. I was happy with the taste but the sweetness of the sauce did tend to dominate and it was hard to taste the actual turkey. I didn't mind that these were North American cranberries as I know as I know that's where most are grown and sourced. And while I didn't mind that this was made in the UK I'm sure it could be just as easily made here. I might buy this again but probably only at Xmas and if we had a large gathering, but would much prefer a smaller jar, one with more fruit and less sugar.
Jelly like. I’m not really familiar with cranberry sauce so this is a first for me. Cranberries don’t feature regularly in an Italian diet. I’m sure I’ve probably eaten it in rolls without knowing but I’ve never noticed the flavour before. Not sure what to expect! This was easy to find on the shelf, the jar is a great size and fits easily in the fridge. I found it impossible to open but with the help of my handy jar opener we were in business. It seems this little jar has travelled quite the distance around the world before being stocked on our shelves. Seems odd that it’s sourced and packed in different locations before travelling all the way to Australia. The consistency of this sauce is more like a jelly or jam. It seems this little jar has travelled quite the distance around the world before being stocked on our shelves. Seems odd that it’s sourced and packed in different locations before travelling all the way to Australia. The consistency of this sauce is more like a jelly or jam. I’m not sure sauce is the right description. It’s quite thick and gelatinous. I tasted it on its own and it definitely reminded me of a jam. Cold, thick and jelly like. It was time to taste this with an accompaniment. My weapon of choice was some triple cream Brie with some fig crackers. I was able to scoop out some whole cranberries to add to my cheese. My these were big fat cranberries! So the taste.... It wasn’t as sweet as I was expecting but it was sweet. There was a tangy flavour which stood out more than the sweetness. It was nice and definitely reminded me of jam but didn’t blow me away with excitement. Now the most confusing part of this for me is that cranberries make up only 34% of this sample. And if only sugar and water remain, then this is essentially a jelly with some scattered cranberries. I’m really surprised it’s not sweeter than it is. I feel I’m not the best to assign a score to this sample because for me it was average but I have nothing to benchmark it against. Middle of the road, not awful and not fantastic. It’s a shame that this arrived in my bunch box after Christmas because I don’t often eat turkey so pairing it with turkey won’t be something I will try any time soon. It could very well be delicious. Thanks again for the opportunity to try this cranberry sauce Woolworths, something I wouldn’t have tried on my own.
Essential in my fridge! I always have Cranberry Sauce in the fridge and after reading reviews on this product I decided to try this one when I'd used up the brand name one I normally buy. Not just for Christmas Turkey. This is not a free sample. I saw a recipe with roast chicken, Philly cream, cheese, lettuce and red onion on a crusty roll. OMG! it was delicious, not to sweet not to tart, it was delicious. Its a thickish spread and went well with the philly cheese spread. I had some with ham, just to try it and yup, winner winner. If you havent tried it, give it a go, you might surprise yourself. Have a great day

(Natural fructose?) Too hard to say as the label does not supply enough informationHealth Star Rating: 2. 5 out of 5 (Probably due to high sugar content, but most people probably do not use a lot of cranberry sauce in one sitting)Packaging: Recyclable glass jar and recyclable metal lid (Yay for glass!) Life: Purchased 13th Jan 2021A date (18th July 2022) is very clearly printed on the lid. I am once again 'presuming' it is a Best Before date... as that is not specified. General:- It was easy to find in the shop and the colour of the label made it stand out from other brands. - I always find this size of jar too big. We never use it all within 28 days and end up throwing a lot out. Would love to see a smaller sized jar available. I love that it is in glass though!- 34% fruit instead of the 47% of my 'usual brand' doesn't sound like much, but it seemed to make a big difference. Although tasty, the quality just isn't as good as the more expensive brand. It is too hard to compare the ingredients as the percentages of water and 'added' sugar are not specified. - Definitely a decent product for the lower price, but I'd prefer to pay a little bit more to get the extra fruit and a slightly better consistency/thickness. We usually only buy cranberry sauce for special occasions, so I don't mind paying a little bit more to get a higher quality. - I made a large platter of salad, chicken and ham sandwiches for the family, using the Woolworths brand sauce. The family's verdict was that it was 'okay' but not as thick as they were used to. Overall: Not too bad a product for the budget-minded but I will go back to buying a different brand because I prefer it for better flavour and thicker texture. Just not quite as good as I was used to.
