Convenience Plus. I love a dollop of cream on desserts or sweet treats and even though only occasionally these days this was a nice sample to get. I was easily able to find it on the fridge shelf near the other creams even though the packaging didn't really stand out that much or create a huge visual impact. The main features and points though were clearly visible on the packaging. It's made with Australian milk and made in Australia from at least 98% Australian ingredients and there are no artificial colours, flavours or preservatives. All big pluses as is the information on the back that every part of the packaging is recyclable. I also like the foil seal to keep in the freshness and keep out any nasties until needed. And heaps better for you than the canned whipped creams. The price is cheaper than other similar products and the taste is the same as any other pure cream so I would happily purchase this again.

Tasted weird. I don’t know if it was due to the additives/thickeners, but this had a bit of an odd taste. It didn’t taste like real cream and seemed to be lacking in flavour. I had a large dollop of this on a scone with strawberry jam, in order to get the full creamy taste experience. It almost tasted slightly tainted, possibly a bit “fruity”. Not offensive, but not particularly nice. The use by date is a month away so it couldn’t have been “off”, but it depends how it was transported and stored before it hit the shelf - maybe the freshness was compromised, and it may have just been my sample. Oddly enough, some time ago I purchased a Coles branded dollop cream which was well within the use by date, but tasted so disgusting that I had to throw the whole container ... MoreTasted weird. Is there something about dollop cream? It’s a 98% Australian product so I would expect it to be top notch. That 2% would presumably be the thickeners. I don’t like thickeners in cream and would just prefer higher milk fat. This was 35% milk fat which is about the same as thickened cream, so it seems like more thickening additives may have been added to make it “dollop”. I like to use pure cream and whip it myself, which I think has a nicer taste, however for convenience, dollop cream is an acceptable alternative. I like the resealable tub. I’ve used the sour cream version in this new range. It’s not a bad product despite not being quite right taste wise.

Could be thicker. I had high hopes of this cream being lovely and thick because I am very impressed with he sour creams. I made my yummy sticky date puddings and always love some thick cream along with ice-cream. We really need to make sure this is a 100% unhealthy dessert Unfortunately I felt this was just not thick enough. I usually buy the Pauls brand which is really thick but it seems I can only buy that at Coles. I would normally make the trip but I just couldn't be bothered on this occassion. This WW cream is $3. 90 for a 300ml tub which is good value. It is made in Australia from at least 98% Australian ingredients, contains no artificial colours, flavours or preservatives and has a health star rating of 0. 5. I think in future I will always try to get my preferred brand although this was nice and did the job, I just prefer thicker.

Thick and Creamy ... Mmmm. I had never purchased Dollop Cream before, actually, I had never heard of it. I was nicely surprised. Woolworths Dollop Cream is thick enough to hold it's shape so is ready to put on top of pikelets, scones or whatever else you love cream on. It has a really nice consistency, it is very smooth. I am a lover of cream and Woolworths Dollop Cream did not disappoint, it is delicious. This product is well packaged. Given this came in a plastic container with a lid means it will last longer then other creams I have purchased in cardboard containers that are not resealable. I was able to rinse out the container and put it in the Recycling bin when finished. I am trying to train my brain to 'think Green' so I may not have taken this into consideration when buying a product a few years ago but these days I think we all need to consider recycling as much as we can. Regardless of how nice a product is though, price is a big issue for me. I am on the Disability Pension so every dollar counts. Being a Woolworths brand product I would have expected it to be cheaper then brands like Bulla. Surprisingly it is the same price per 100g. For me it is too expensive at $1. 30 per 100g. I would purchase Woolworths Dollop Cream if I was in a rush. If I had time however I would buy Woolworths Thickened Cream and spend a couple of minutes whisking it to a thicker consistency if I required. The thickened cream is only $0. 57 per 100g. To sum up my review on Woolworths Dollop Cream I say:5 Stars for flavour5 Stars for appearance of the cream5 Stars for packaging 3 Stars for value for money
Yummy ready to serve dolloped cream. We love dollop cream & usually buy the twin tub pack of Pauls which works well for us as it is economical & there is less wastage with the smaller "single serve" tubs. It was great to try this Woolworths dollop cream which was just as good as the Pauls & a similar consistency. We love that it can be used straight from pack with no additional whipping required. We use it on scones, puddings & other desserts &as a filling for cakes. It is a bit more expensive than regular thickened cream but would pay the price for the convenience of not having to whip the cream occasionally but not on a regular basis. Great that it is fully Australian made. I would also be happy to use this to thicken blended soups, pasta sauce & risottos. Thanks ... MoreYummy ready to serve dolloped cream. Rather whip my own? I was really looking forward to trying this product as it is cream and who doesn't love cream! Anyway this was easy to spot on the shelf, but a little expensive $3. 90 for 300ml?I much prefer to buy the 600ml bottle of thickened cream for $3. 40 and give it a quick whisk by hand for a few seconds and get a better result. This was not thick at all? And it had been in my fridge for a long time. Overnight actually. I put the cream on my homemade chocolate Keto cake, that I made and froze!I have had dollop cream before due to being super lazy, And it was nothing like this? So yes I was a little disappointed This cream I find a bit of a let down as it is not thick at all? As you can see by each photo it is thin as rather watery. I will stick to ... This has a BBD 13/6/22 I will try and re-whip this and make a peanut butter mousse! This serves 15 Whoops guess I just ate two serves? Oh well This is made up of 98% of Australian Ingredients. As for the packaging Cap♻️ recycled lid ♻️All recycling and the foil recycled ♻️ But make sure you wait for it........ SCRUNCH IT UP FIRST!!! Okay Normally now I would do the health benefits but it's cream? There's nothing healthy about it? Except that cream is YUMMY !!! There is no denying that? And is 1/2 a star ⭐️ Except that there is no artificial colours flavours, or preservatives. Thank you Bunch for giving me this wonderful opportunity to try this sample. But unfortunately this won't be making it's way into my shopping trolley anytime soon. Thank you to all my fellow Bunchee's for taking a look at my review, please remember that this is just my opinion and I hope that you have a wonderful day.
Deliciously fresh, rich and creamy Australian dollop cream. This is easily found in the chilled dairy aisle at my local Woolies. The recyclable tub is attractive with the WW logo & outline of Australia to indicate it's an Aussie product and easy to spot amongst the other fresh creams. Mine had a 3 week use by period from purchase, which is great. As the name suggests, it's a dollop cream, so you can just add a dollop of cream to desserts, soups, stewed fruits or whatever else you like your cream with. There's no need to whip as you would with thickened cream, this is conveniently rich, thick, creamy and velvety to use straight out of the tub. This will be an addition to my shopping list as it's just so delicious and convenient. * 0. 5 Health Rating* Great price point at $3. 90 - 300ml
Creamy, dollopy goodness. I was super excited to receive this as a sample - I LOVE dollop cream. However, I very rarely buy it, as it feels just that little too decadent for everyday enjoying. If I 'have' to review it for Bunch though. . . I'm willing to take one for the Team. The sample was easy to locate - in amongst the other cream based products in the fridge. I was thrilled to see the little map of Australia on the front and to confirm that it is made with at least 98% Aussie ingredients - great job Woolies! The packaging itself is fairly unassuming - it doesn't particularly stand out and the purple colouring somewhat 'blends in' to the rest of the competitors. However, when the contents are that good, why waste time on flashy packaging?!The foil cover is easy to remove and I love the plastic lid that helps keep the contents fresh upon opening. I also love that the packaging is fully recyclable - either in your recycling bin or via the RedCycle bin in store. The cream itself is a delightful consistency - "dollop cream" is a perfectly apt description. It holds it's shape when you 'dollop' it onto a desert, creating a very tempting picture. It also spreads easily if you are after a smoother finish. The taste is exactly what you would expect - sweet, creamy and delicious. I tried mine as a finishing touch for an apricot tart and the combination of flavours was superb. I would also love to try a devonshire tea or maybe add it to some fresh berries. You could even add it to a pumpkin or tomato soup - but that might be a bit of a waste of it's lovely texture. Overall, I cannot fault this product. The price is super competitive, it's made in Australia, packaged in recyclable packaging that is easy to access and it tastes divine. If I really had to come up with an improvement - maybe an enticing picture of a pastry topped with the cream for the cover might tempt any 'tentative purchasers'. . . but who am I kidding, who would possibly be reluctant?! Do yourself a favour and get some of this in your fridge right now!
A beautiful dollop of creaminess. I give this cream a 5 star rating for it’s beautiful creaminess that doesn’t require the mixer to be hauled out of the cupboard. It has a nice thick consistency that you can indeed dollop on anything or indeed use it for baking and comes with a resealable lid. I put a dollop on some tinned cherries that were looking at me when I opened the pantry (Woolworths pitted ones of course) and the cream didn’t just run into everything as you would expect from your average bottle of thickened cream. I look forward to making a batch of beautiful scones as I think this would be absolutely perfect to top of a scone with jam. Devine Dollop. Opened my Bunch sample to have a devine dollop of cream on my bought lemon curd tart from a beautiful bakery in Meeniyan, Victoria. The cream added another layer to enjoy and my taste buds were certainly satisfied with every little piece of this treat. The cream was firm and held its shape. Container easy to open and store remaining cream with the plastic sealed lid. May have to make some scones this weekend to use it up. Price point was $3. 90 for 300ml container.
