Good value but a bit too bland. We are huge fans of the Woolworths Apricot Almond And Date Muesli and I was interested to see how this Woolworths Essentials Traditional Muesli compares. First of all, the muesli definitely looks basic. The packaging is a bit boring and "cheap" looking and so is the muesli. However, the value is great. For us, it's worth paying the extra and getting the muesli with the "nicer" fruit. If you want great value, I would recommend buying plain oats and just adding your own topping. The essentials muesli however is a good medium option.

Ideal for baking . Although I still don't like muesli, WW Essentials Muesli is far better than the more expensive apricot and date sunshiny packaging muesli because it has fewer hard bits in it. I crunched upon a hard bit which broke up quickly, wasn't that bad and was a banana chip I'd prefer if you removed any hard bits like that. I like the oats and sultana but do not like the banana and pineapple bits however they'd be fine in baking like slices, muffins, cakes etc Good ratio of bran sticks to oats. I'd add a little more sultana and remove the banana and pineapple. With 4. 5 health stars and 73% of your wholegrain target intake in a serve, it certainly helps provide a filling breakfast. At $2. 50 it's good value if you like muesli but I'd rather just buy the rolled oats and add ingredients to my liking for baking. Packed in Australia from at least 85% Aussie ingredients It contains sulphur dioxide so those who are allergic need to avoid this product. Thanks very much @bunchteam I may buy this again if others want it In my photo you can see the muesli on top of the Just Right and shh! cheaper nutri grain, Max Grain cereal I added sliced banana, milk and psyllium husks to mine.

Very plain. This was easy to find instore with the other mueslis. The packaging looks cheap, with plain brown logo and print on the plastic bag. This is one of the budget Essentials range so it is no frills. There is mainly oats in the packet, and not much else. There is 15% dried fruit including pineapple and banana chips, but none of these were apparent. There seemed to be mainly sultanas, nothing else was identifiable by taste or texture. We served this with almond milk, but it was so plain that we then had to add yoghurt and raspberries to give it some flavour. It was then ok but only because of the added flavours. It is however packed in Australia from at least 85% Australian ingredients. This will not be a re-purchase for us.

A very pleasant surprise. I never buy muesli because to me it looks like bird food (sorry muesli lovers) and is almost always dry and tasteless. For breakfast I prefer traditional, old fashion rolled oats with dried fruit or sugary cereal with yogurt. I was surprised to find how much I liked this product. So glad I got the chance to try it. This muesli is a perfect marriage of rolled oats and dried fruit although it can do with a lot more fruit. The fruit is mostly sultana with odd bits of pineapple which I really enjoyed. I would love it even more if there were more pineapple bits. I cooked it the way I normally do with rolled oats but threw in additional dried fruit and a pinch of cinnamon. I didn’t use any sugar as the dry fruit was sweet enough. The ingredient ... MoreA very pleasant surprise. I don’t know how the price compares with buying rolled oats and dried fruit separately and mixing them at home but the bag itself certainly looks very generous. Love this product and will definitely buy it again!!

Rolled Oats plus. Enjoyed this muesli after it was soaked in milk overnight in the fridge. No really hard parts to chew like dried apricots. Noted that it had more sugars, 13 g, than the Apricot Almond and Date muesli, 9. 8 g, for those watching sugars so it tastes a little sweeter. On the other hand the sodium is 14 mg compared to the 21 mg in the apricot one. Unexpected. Has preservative from the dried fruit. Having to reduce sugar and sodium as well as saturated fat, means that I will tend towards buying rolled oats with added fresh fruit. Happy that it is 80% at least Australian ingredients. Found that the brown packet colour, while not being inspirational, was distinctive and easily identified as part of the essentials range. For those wanting a cheap and quickly prepared breakfast, I would recommend this product.

Not exactly our thing, but not bad. Ok, so we had to take a brief hiatus from Bunch sampling due to catching that virus which (in my case, at least) knocks out my tastebuds, making sampling tricky. But we're back! THE GOOD:* At $0. 28/100g, it is a very cheap breakfast option. * Low in fat, low in calories -- it's quite a healthy breakfast option. * The oats, sultanas, and bran were a big hit with the mini-Buncher. * The mini-Buncher also appreciated that this comes with sweetness already as part of the product, while the rolled oats she would normally eat need her to add sugar. * I quite liked the cereal too. THE INDIFFERENT:* Made in Australia from at least 80% Australian ingredients. THE INDIFFERENT:* Made in Australia from at least 80% Australian ingredients. This is a very good start, but looking at the actual ingredients used, I feel it could potentially aim for an even higher %age. * With the demise of RedCycle, the bag adds to landfill in some councils. (We are fortunate to have access to a recycling option where we live). Woolworths sells Rolled Oats in a larger bag (1. 5kg) which means less plastic waste, and it would be great if this product were available in that size. * The product is 78% rolled oats. Woolworths sells 1. 5kg rolled oats at a unit price of $0. 17/100g, which is significantly cheaper this (admittedly already quite inexpensive) product. THE BAD:* The mini-Buncher was not a fan of the banana chips or the pineapple cubes. CONCLUSION:I'm actually quite fussy with my muesli. I was previously a HUGE fan of the Purina Toasted, which was delicious and which I quite miss. I would possibly eat this product as an occasional alternative to oatmeal, but it didn't have the "yum factor" that I normally associate with muesli.

Traditional Muesli 900g is a solid choice. Overall, Woolworths Essentials Traditional Muesli 900g is good for me when I'm looking for a healthy and tasty breakfast option. The muesli is made with a combination of toasted oats, barley, and wheat flakes, along with dried fruits and nuts such as sultanas, raisins, and almonds. It's not too sweet and has a satisfying crunch. The dried fruits and nuts add a nice flavor and variety to the mix. In terms of nutrition, the muesli is relatively low in sugar and high in fiber, making it a great option for those looking to maintain a healthy diet. Budget muesli. I must be honest and admit muesli is one of my go too cereals as has many practical and versatile ways of serving it up. Either adding your own fruit or using it in a smoothie and also great for using in baking those special treats. Found this muesli again on the bottom shelf but expected as very economical price around $2. 50 for 900g compared to the more sugar laden top brand cereals above. Wonderful to know that this cereal is made in Australia from at least 80% aust Ingredients and best before is around a year to fully use. Also has a health star rating of 4:5. When pouring into bowl noticed the fruit was scarce and seemed to have oats as it’s main ingredient with limited anything else so added a squirt or two of honey and handful of blueberries to give it a bit more flavour and substance. Overall not the worst breaky but would of been bland without my added ingredients plus it was light, the texture and flavour was bit salty and dry and it was definitely the quality for the price. For the budget conscious a cereal to consider but prepared to add a couple of your own ingredients for better taste and also is a lot healthier than some other top brand cereals. For me it’s an option if my other muesli brand wasn’t available. Thankyou Bunchteam for giving me the opportunity of trying this product ‍♂️
