Easy to make and easy to eat. This item was easy to find in store. The packaging was attractive and suited to the product. The box was sturdy and protected the product until use. I must admit I didn't make this for ages as it's been so muggy and I know you shouldn't bake if the air is overly moist. Plus baking makes too many dishes. I made cupcakes and used butter to grease pan and I used cupcake wrappers over baking paper. I used butter in the recipe. The mixture took ages to mix and I was worried the cakes would be dry. I added a spoon of poppy seeds, purely because I had excess in the pantry. I baked until the centre popped back and the cupcakes started to brown on top. I used butter in the icing which I melted in the microwave for 20 seconds. Overall I am very ... MoreEasy to make and easy to eat. This item was easy to find in store. Both have a pleasing texture and flavour and no strange aftertaste. I am very pleased with the finished product. I will definately consider purchasing in the future and will happily recommend to others. Well worth all the dishes I have to do

Very nice gluten free cake. I really like a good vanilla cake, so was looking forward to this sample, as some previous experience with gluten free foods (both recipes that I've made, as well as others either bought pre-made, or other's recipes) has left me a bit meh about their flavour and more often, texture. I am NOT coeliac thoughWas a little confused as to the sample's location; I thought it would be in with the other cake mixes, but on checking the app while in store, soon learned where it wasThe pack comes with the cake mix as well as a buttercream icing mix (just add butter). They turned out greatThe cupcakes took approx 20 mins to cook. I left them to cool in the patty pans in the muffin tray as I had to go out. Came back to nicely cooled cupcakes which I iced using the included icing mix. I added some vanilla bean paste to the icing mix as it tasted of just sugar. The vanilla added a nice flavour I thinkGave them to family and friends to try, without telling them it was a gluten-free mix; everyone thought they were nice, moist and light. They liked the icing (to which I also added some sprinkles). Only 1 person added that they thought there was a slight gritty mouth feel to the cake itself, which some of the others then agreed with. That's when I told them it was a gluten-free mix. They were all impressed with how light the mix wasMade in Australia from at least 87% local ingredients. 1 health star rating. 1610kJ per 100g serve with 55. 8g sugar!I believe this would be a great little back up for when I have people over who have coeliac disease. It's very quick and easy to make and bake

Delicious cake, but palm oil. I had this sample sitting on the shelf as I wasn’t sure when to make it and making a cake seemed a monumental task. Anyway, we had a birthday coming up, so I thought perfect occasion to use this cake. The cake mix also comes with icing mix, which is very useful. This is how the 2 packets looked once I opened the cardboard box. There’s instructions on the back of the box. Its been many years since I’ve made cake out of a box, so I was looking forward to trying this. I used a spoon to mix the cake mix together with milk, butter and apple sauce (substituted for eggs). It took a couple of minutes but I was happy to mix by hand rather than taking a hand mixer to use and clean later!Once combined, just pour into a greased 12 cupcake pan or into a single cake pan if you want a single cake. While the cupcakes were baking in the oven, I got the icing ready. It was easy enough, combine the icing mixture packet along with 60g butter or margarine. I didn’t have any softened butter, so I just spooned out some Lurpak from the spreadable tub, which is what I used earlier for the batter also. I set the oven for 40 minutes, then looking at the oven, the cupcakes seemed done after 20mins, and then I looked at the instructions again and realised the cooking time for cupcakes is much less than for cakeAs I don’t bake cupcakes a lot, I didn’t realise the different baking times, so it’s definitely a good idea to actually read the instructions, if needed. Or regular bakers would already know this. I took the cupcakes out when they looked a little more cooked and also tested them by sticking a butter knife in the middle and also did the spring back test as per box instructions. Once cooled, I iced them. We both liked the taste and couldn’t tell that they were gluten free cupcakes. The taste was delicious and the cake itself was moist. I used 1/2cup apple sauce to substitute for the 2 eggs as I was making for someone who doesn’t eat eggs. The substitution worked well, and cake was still soft and tasty. The first ingredient is Sugar, then maize flour and rice flour. Sadly there is Fractionated Palm Oil, which seems to be some process of separating the fats in the oil. Anyway, I’m glad this product is on the shelf for those who require this in their diet. I wish the sugar was less and there was no palm oil used. The product is made in Australia from atleast 87% Australian ingredients, which is good. Product comes with the 100% happy guarantee. Sugar seems to be 20. 0g for 62g after the batter is prepared, it’s high and even though it didn’t taste too sickly sweet, it can be reduced. Thank you for the sample, maybe I’ll buy another regular cake mix and try it out

Moist Delicious Cake. Hubby had been doing a gluten-free diet so this was a bonus treat for him and one that I was happy to try too. The box says soy free, dairy free and suitable for vegetarians so covers a wide range of dietary issues or concerns as well as gluten intolerant people. I love that there is no artifical colours, flavours or preservatives and that both the box and plastic packaging can be recycled. Also good is that it is made in Australia from at least 87% Australian ingredients. The instructions were clear and easy to follow and the cake was easy to make using just the one bowl. I didn't have time to clean my mixer ends so tried to make the icing in a bowl which didn't want to come together so added a little mix and it then quickly turned into a spreadable icing. There was more than enough to cover the cake in a decent thickness. I made the full cake but there's also the option of making cupcakes instead so very flexible. You can smell the vanilla once cooked and definitely taste it in the finished product although it's nice and subtle and not overpowering. The cake was moist, soft and delicious. It definitely wasn't what I expected from a gluten-free cake. You could quite easily present this for a party or afternoon tea and not tell people it was gluten-free and they'd never guess. Means instead of having to make several cakes to cover people's dietary requirements this one cake would be more than suitable for nearly everyone. I can highly recommend this cake. It's so easy to make and very tasty. I would definitely buy again.

Soft and fluffy cupcakes. These were not crumbly at all, unlike other GF products I have baked, they were so soft and fluffy. They weren't too sweet and the vanilla flavour was perfect. The instructions were easy to follow and the cooking time was accurate as the tops were cooked evenly. It made a nice amount of 12 cupcakes which were of a decent size. I also liked how the box included an icing mix which was sufficient to cover all the cupcakes with a nice and even spread. I thought that this cake mix was quite versatile by adding in extra ingredients such as fruit or chocolate chips so that it could suit a wide range of taste buds. Very Close to Non Gluten Free. Thank you bunch for my free from gluten Vanilla Cake Mix. Made in Australia from at least 87% Australian ingredients with No Artificial Colours, Flavours or Preservatives, the HSR is 1 and the cost is $3. 00. Sugar is the first ingredient and we found the cake rather sweet. Palm Oil is present, I trust that it is in accordance with Woolworths Palm Oil Sustainability Policy. For this limited edition sample, I made some miniature cupcakes and used the rest of the mixture to make an apple slice. I added some mixed spice and a tin of apples to the cake mix. A sprinkle of cinnamon sugar on top and a delicious GF apple slice. A very handy GF cake mix to keep in the pantry for family or friends who are Coeliacs or have a Gluten intolerance. Thanks to Bunch for this limited edition sample. Much appreciated from our Coeliac family.
