Woolworths Microwave Cooking Brown Rice Family Size 450g Low Price Always

Quick and easy! This is a great option when you are short on time. I do prefer to cook rice from scratch, much better value and less packaging that way, however this was very quick and I couldn't fault the quality. The texture was great, not at all mushy. We used it to make fried rice which my husband declared the "best ever". I'm sure the additional flavour from brown rice didn't hurt however I suspect the recipe was the biggest factor in the success. A family size packet is very handy. The only downside is that it isn't an Australian product like most of the branded microwave products or the raw Woolworths brown rice.

Healthy and nice. Brown rice, healthy rice, and in the pouch, soft and quite nice. I am fond of brown rice and I find the pouch portions to be generous and the quality very nice too. These pouch varieties of rice are easy to prepare, 90 seconds in the microwave and added to other ingredients, makes a great meal. They are a regular item on my shopping list and I definitely recommend these pouches, especially when time is limited and you're on the go. Great to be added as an item when out camping or on self-catering holidays because of the easy preparation. Definitely a yes from me, and thumbs up for the great taste too. And did I mention that the family size is a great and reasonable size for a family of four.

Great for Fried Rice on the run! I love these types of microwaveable rice. This one is always a winner. I use them as a ready-made base for fried rice, add them to the mix when creating filling for stuffed capsicums, eggplants, and/or butternut pumpkin, and sometimes just microwave them up with veges for a basic, filling, and healthy meal. A really great option when you're time-poor and want to still be mindful about what you're eating. Also very reasonably priced. *tick, tick, tick*

We served this as part of a Mexican dinner with Cook Mexican pulled pork, and a 4 bean mix made into a vegetable side. 2 samples in 1 dish!At $2. 75 for a 450g pack this is good value. This is a product of Thailand, I think all of these microwave rices are imported which is disappointing. Two and Half Sushi Magic. Fantastically convenient for making sushi. No need to heat. Just opened the pack and made my chicken and avocado sushi. I was pleasantly surprised how easy it was. Drizzled it with soya sauce. I loved the light fluffy flavour, easy to scoop out of the packaging. A great time saver for a quick and easy meal, after a long work day. Four star rating. Convenient, Easy and a great price point. I was happy when i got this as a sample, because it is something that i usually buy, These are so handy to have in the cupboard. No one in my family can taste the difference between the microwavable rice and the home cooked. (that could be saying something about my rice cooking skills though!)We use for butter chicken, burrito bowls and cold as part of a brown rice salad. Always handy for those nights when you can't be bothered and want to throw something together as well!I won't stop buying this product. It just makes dinner times that little bit less stressful!

So quick and healthy too! I used to cook my brown rice the old fashioned way and it took so much longer than white rice and never seemed to cook properly. The kids told me they didn’t like brown but I had them try this tonight and they both ate it! It was so simple and just a good feeling knowing they are eating something that’s good for them with plenty of fibre. I will be buying this in the future for sure it’s a beautiful slightly nutty taste with a delicate snap crunch if you can understand me. Thanks a bunch bunch!

Tasty and easy. I was really happy with this bunch sample as I have the ww microwave rice quite often. It’s convenient, tasty and easy to serve up quickly. The brown rice has a slightly nutty taste and I find it more filling than white rice. The only down side is a packet for 4 people is not realistic, maybe 2 adults and 2 children with a very small appetite. But my husband and I have a family size packet between us with a small amount left over which makes our chickens very happy as we always give it to them We will carry on purchasing this for sure! Great value!

Convenience Plus. Brown rice is great. Flavoursome and filling. And now microwaveable. How positive is that? Best used in curries and fried rice as it keeps the consistency till the end. Price is fabulous, given the extra large packet. Thanks Woolies for the opportunity to get this product as I would not normally have gone for the larger size. Now, let’s go eat that curry dish

Great rice but soggy compared to smaller sized pack. I buy this and the regular size all the time. it’s half the price of the competitors and just as good. however the smaller packet comes out better. I find the larger one is a little soggy and overcooked. but it is my go to rice for everything. especially fried rice. I just whisk an egg and put it in the frying pan. When it’s done I put in the rice straight from the packet. Once heated up I put it in a bowl and top it with spring onions. Literally takes four minutes and tastes fantastic
