Not bad but bit pricey. Basing the review on the product alone I give 4 stars as they were tasty and easy to cook with us using our air fryer more often since the oven went out of action a while ago. (Replaced now)But anyway, a quick heat in the air fryer and they were ready to eat along with a few other items cooked for dinner. The 400g portion size for 4 is maybe a bit small (especially at $8+) but with other food is a good compliment. Maybe as an afternoon snack they may hold their own but again at $8+ for 400g it is an expensive snack. Taste and convenience 5, size 4, price 3

Soft inside with flavourful skin. I found the shelf empty when I arrived at Woolworths. But I was lucky because a staff member came to refill the shelves exactly at that moment! $7. 50 for 400 grams sounds quite dear to me, but it looks like a very convenient product, and not having to coat each pop individually surely makes life easier. 95% Australian ingredients, quite acceptable to me. Tray completely recyclable, what I love to see. The list of ingredients is incredibly long, something I don't generally consider a good sign. Clear instructions on how to cook them. 16 minutes in the oven. 3. 5 stars. RSPCA approved. But they cooked well, they were tender and soft in the middle but have a flavourful skin. I still think they could improve if they were a little crunchier. Not sure if that could be achieved by just cooking them longer. Didn't taste heavy, maybe because of the buttermilk coating. Thank you for the free dinner. My family kind of liked it and I could be buying it again.

Woolies Popcorn Chicken. Been wanting to try these for ages after reading reviews but could never find them, finally I spied them and they were reduced so twas meant to bee. Full price is $7. 50 and made in Australia using at least 95% Aussie ingredients. Also comes with the RSPCA Approved Farming Seal, 3. 5 HSR, no artificial colour or flavours used. They did look a bit paler than the Spicy Chipotle ones, but as I'd never had before didn't wish to risk it with my grandson. Cooked in oven for a little bit longer than the recommended 16 minutes, served with some flavoured rice and steamed veg. Really really nice, grandson and Mr dipped there's into tomato sauce but I enjoyed mine with some sweet chilli sauce. Tasty Savoury Snack or Meal. These were easy to find and the photo on the pack definitely helped make them look appealing and appetizing. The price is a little dear but there are lots in the pack which probably makes it more reasonable. I liked that they sued RSPCA Approved Farming and they are made in Australia from 95% Australian ingredients including the most important ingredient - Australian chicken. And more importantly there are no artificial colours or flavours. Another big plus is every part of the packaging is recyclable. These are quick and easy to prepare - simply pop on an oven tray and cook for approximately 16 minutes. These were very tasty. They had good flavour and a good texture. The outside was crunchy and inside soft and moist. I had them with yoghurt dressing and veges for lunch and the yoghurt helped make the spicy flavour a little less spicy. I think these woudl be great as appetisers - can easily be picked up and dipped- but are probably more for children. There are plenty to go around either for a couple of children or one child over a couple of days. They may be a tad spicy for very young children but older children shoudl find them ok and if dipped or smothered in a sauce, as children usually do, then not quite so spicy anyway. I did enjoy them for a change but am undecided whether I'd buy them at the current price or only when on special. If short on time and I wanted something quick and easy for nibbles for a get-together/party then they'd be perfect or if my grandson likes them and I need something savoury for him when he visits then I would be tempted. But it's not something I normally buy just for us in our household.

Kids snack. These tasted like chicken nuggets with very little chicken inside, processed mix with a batter on them. I cooked them in the air fryer, which may have dried them out a bit. A little like the kfc pop corn but less chicken meat in the mix. ‘There seemed to be a bit of spice in the batter leaving a warm taste in my mouth, my daughter drank a bottle of water while having them saying they were spicy. At $7. 50 a pack a bit expensive considering you could buy a chicken fillet and make a quick mix with ingredients for about half the price with 100% chicken these stayed around 50% chicken ingredient in the mix. Might be a good idea for kids party to have as finger food though. Not sure I would buy on a regular basis, was good to try to know how they taste, thank ... MoreKids snack. Deliciously Yummy. The Chicken Pops we're deliciously yummy I cooked them in a lightly oiled tray and served them on a platter as a side dish with roasted veggies. The bit size pieces were flavoursome and wanting to go back for more and more. The quality of the chicken pops was good. The 400-gram package was well presented. And easy to find in the fridge. The cooking instructions of 16 mins were nice and clear and RSPCA approved. My first thought when I picked up the product I felt the packing was slightly on the larger size for the contents. It could be in a smaller package but it may get lost amongst the other products on the shelf. Handy to have in the fridge as an added extension to a meal.

Popping chook hits. I needed a quick meal for the kids. Saw these and thought take away at home! These chicken pops come in at $8. 50 for 400g. They are 3. 5 stars in the health rating scale, which to be honest surprised me because I thought they would be lower. The packaging is not recyclable at all It is made in Australia with 95% Australian ingredients. It has a considerable length in shelf life and needs to be stored in the refrigerator. It does not say do not freeze but I just assumed this was like other pre made chicken products and not to be frozen. It only contains 56% chicken, but the chicken is RSPCA approved. The pieces are small, around 1-1. 5 cm cubed chunks. The coating is evenly spread over the chunks of chicken and isn’t thick but it didn’t finish crispy following the instructions. I might try cooking them in the air fryer next time to see if that changes the coating. The southern style exterior was still nice, had a nice flavour and it wasn’t bad in texture, just wasn’t crispy. We had them in wraps, which were flavoursome and enjoyable with the chicken pops. I would purchase again

Woolworths Southern Chicken Pops were delish. Easy to find in store however I was lucky to grab the last packet on show. I cooked the Woolworths Southern Style Chicken pops in the air fryer & they cooked up a treat. All of the chicken pops were fully coated with the southern coating. The chicken pops did taste a little bit spicy but not to over powering. I thought they could have been a bit bigger in size. Coated chicken pops. Very convenient coated chicken pops with southern style coating which was good and not to spicy for us. Only used half of the packet and served with bowl of chicken vegetable soup. These were very easy to pop in the oven on a tray to heat as recommended on the packet. Eaten on their own l found a little dry so had with some Mayo. Price point is $7. 50 for 400g. Really would consider this as a snack food, or would be suitable for a party with a dipping sauce. Made from 95% Australian ingredient. Must keep refrigerated. Had a good look at the packaging on this product but could not find if it had been previously frozen. Looking at this as have chicken nuggets and snack food in the freezer for when grandchildren visit.

Salt and pepper popcorn chicken! I'm a fan of KFC popcorn chicken, and thought these looked a little bit similar, albeit a bit smaller popcorn pieces. These have a wonderful salt and pepper flavour, and the crumbed outside kind of reminded me of salt and pepper squid rings, however the chicken inside was lovely and moist and flavoursome. The pieces are noticeably smaller than KFC popcorn chicken, which does make it a little bit difficult to pick up one with your fingers and dip it in some sauce. I ended up using a fork and got two of them on the fork each time, dipped it in some sauce, and enjoyed the bites. These are lovely, and would be great on their own as a quick snack, or lovely as a crumbed textured side dish for any meal. Highly recommended!
