Not a terrible game, but definitely lacking in a few areas.1) Tons of glitches (grapple/sensor errors).-My Career has its fair share as well aside from the general.2) My Career still barely has any audio and none for your created character. How hard would it be for wwe/2k to pay a few wrestlers/announcers/etc for some voice overs?3) The new roll out feature, where in larger matches opponents/users just roll out of the ring when knocked down for a period of time while 2 others are standing, is not something I like.4) Solid roster, but don't like that extra characters are earned through VC and no story/campaign style rewards.5) No sort of story mode like the showcase or such in previous games (aside from My Career).Overall it's fun if you haven't had one ... MoreNot a terrible game, but definitely lacking in a few areas.1) Tons of glitches (grapple/sensor errors).-My Career has its fair share as well aside from the general.2) My Career still barely has any audio and none for your created character. As a fan of the old school N64 WWF & WCW games I have been skeptical of all the Yukes developed releases in recent years. Even once 2K bought the license once THQ went out of business I was surprised they retained the same developer. The last couple games did somewhat disappoint me. I'm please to say I do see improvements and the graphics and game play are improved. i wish the controls were simple like back in the days, but it's better. The pinning system is still terrible. Just have us beat on the buttons instead of this timed kick out with the A button. As for this NXT special edition: it's a nice packaging of insert bonuses and the Finn Balor figure. My biggest disappointment in the edition is it DOES NOT include the Season Pass. I was stunned. I consider myself an expert in wwf/wwe games as I have owned almost all of those wrestling games since PS1. This year's version has the best gameplay ever, BUT the bugs, glitches, crashes, & save data problems are the worst i've seen & read in console gaming. I recommend buying this game when it's half off. Even then, you should be catious not to create too many of your own wrestlers & other stuff until almost all the patches are out. The reason is that user created material gets outdated with each patch & sometimes the game doesn't load your creation properly or at all. My save data got screwed up after one of the patches. If I had to do it again, I would have waited until this game is $30. I would play only exhibition matches to earn VC. WWE 2K17- you've really confused me. Let's start with looks. The game looks great and was definitely a step up from last year. It was very pleasing to see the amount of detail for most superstars although there were a handful that looked abysmal. The game plays well with the new feature of fighting backstage and in the crowd was definitely a welcomed feature. However, the promo feature in my My Career and Universe Modes was not surprisingly disappointing. As expected, there was no audio, the dialogue was written poorly and just when the player thinks they've chosen the correct dialogue, the system says it's a poor option leaving the player confused and frustrated. It was great seeing a large, diverse roster in this year's game with the roster being quite on point ... MoreWWE 2K17- you've really confused me. Let's start with looks. As expected, there was no audio, the dialogue was written poorly and just when the player thinks they've chosen the correct dialogue, the system says it's a poor option leaving the player confused and frustrated. It was great seeing a large, diverse roster in this year's game with the roster being quite on point for its time. The revamped ladder, TLC and tables match was also a welcomed change by getting rid of most of the bugs from last year's instalment while allowing more extreme moments to happen. Unfortunately, other bugs specifically Audio issues were a large problem in this year's game which made the game frustrating to play. Speaking of Audio, commentary in this year's game is still disjointed, random and repetitive. Basically, you may as well mute it along with Lillian Garcia's audio. WWE 2K 17's My Career mode is a waste of time. I really have nothing positive to say about it. It's boring, repetitive with very few changes made from last year's game. Not even Paul Heyman could save this mode. It was abysmal and does not justify the removal of Showcase mode and that says something considering I don't really like the showcase mode. On the bright side though Universe Mode is always improving giving the player more and more power to control their own universe. Yes, there are also repetitive story lines but overall it's WWE 2K 17's best game mode. Creation Suit also returned with more customisation. Personally, it's not my cup of tea but for gamers willing to create and customise, it's a step up from last year's game. Overall, WWE 2K17 is getting there in terms of creating the best wrestling game. Its Universe Mode, diverse roster, impressive looks and upgrades to gameplay is a positive sign however, 2K needs to improve or remove its My Career mode and promo engine as well as taking more time to fix smaller but annoying bugs. My Career mode was a huge disappointment which probably stopped this game from receiving 4 stars but overall I'm optimistic that the series is heading in the right direction.
Greetings readers. I recently rekindled my interest in wrestling after I saw the demon intro from Balor, the ultimate bumkicking demon of NXT wrestling. Monday Night Raw recently recently finished their wrestling draft and decided to keep most of the top contenders, so this ultra-rare bone-collector's edition is an essential to every fan's bucket list, especially when it's guaranteed to let your inner child play as the Ultimate Warrior. Wrestlemaniacs should be very appreciative for Bestbuy's decision to carry this hidden gem while everywhere else in the world has hit a drought, and should definitely fatten up their life savings with the annual Bestbuy Playa's Club to save big bucks drastically on other PS4 edition titles. Bring back the joy that you felt from the pixelated Nintendo Pro Wrestling Game with Fighter Hayabusa VS the Amazon moves that could cripple the raging juiceman Brock Lesnar VS Bill Goldberg champ in this futuristic game. I would recommend this to a girlfriend who is a casual gamer just because of the shiny lithographs and packaging.
It's a good game.Give you details down to a T.From creative in your character, customizing your own belt and stable even your own entrance from regular to Champion. The only negativity I have about this if there is no training mode. You have to learn on the Fly if someone who has not played a wrestling game in almost two decades that is very much needed as games evolve.I'm definitely surprised by this because in every other 2K series there is a training or a practice mode. They drop the ball in that department but everything else is on point. The graphics are beautiful right down to the detail.Only I would like to add or more classic superstars and more movesets and clothing in options in the creative mode.
If you ever wanted to play a wrestling game that's as close to the real thing as you see on TV, this is it! The most sim wrestling game ever. The graphics are amazing as well. The game has never looked so good. Deepest roster ever. From the big boss man, earthquake and typhoon, Ravishing Rick Rude to Goldberg and even Shinsuke Nakamura over 120 wrestlers to choose from.It is missing a few things though. If you are a fan of the showcase mode from past years there is none this year. So if that's all you really play you will be disappointed. I'm a big fan of universe mode though so I did miss it but not too much. There are a lot of match types that are still missing. So you can be able to download current versions of some of the wrestlers like Braun strowman, Chris Jericho, and Jinder Mahal since he's not even in the game. Plus you might be interested in some of the DLC wrestlers that have to offer and they do have a Legend showcase to purchase.Overall the game is awesome and im having a lot of fun. Give it a try
PROSWrestling feels like wrestlingCreator options still ridiculously goodBackstage brawls finally returnMyCareer will keep you busy for agesCONSPromo engine still needs workLack of Showcase modeFandangoVERDICTWWE 2K17 is the best wrestling game in years and also introduces some new features that should become highlights over time. A complete overhaul at some point in the future wouldn’t go amiss, just to see what 2K is capable of with a fresh slate, but what's been added here is all very welcome and well executed.Sure, the lack of a showcase mode is disappointing, but the pros far outweigh the cons. 2K17 gets it right in the most important area, and that’s between the ropes.
I know royal rumbles happened on the rumors. Hopefully Liv don't date the tucks. That nightmares in my history of dive careers. I mean watching and switching from the playstation network and shawn Vod. I feel played the year 2019 and up. Hopefully bring back one retro copy of game. Big on the belts and building the title story. I didn't mind the 2k towers and swipe career mode. I know I like guys tombstone faster then German suplex. It like bro I need updates on the shooters why not hit two birds one stone. I mean online mode high on demand on the players Duke it out. It updates just like other games off online modes. Also I like downloads other players avatar. Thank you
