Anyone who uses a wireless controller knows how irritating it is to have the battery die in the middle of game play. With the play and charge controller set up I am able to keep playing even on a controller that the battery just died, I use it to keep the controller turned on for Netflix marathons, and I love that the cord is long enough that I don't have to be right next to the TV/system to use it.I have even had this cord walked through (by animals and myself), it may pull the controller off of where it was, but it usually stays connected and hasn't suffered any ill effects from this kind of thing happening. Pros: Holds charge for hours of play, will save you hundreds of pounds if you’re using normal batteries. This is my second battery I have purchased, that last one last 4 years and still works fine but doesn’t hold charge as long.Cons: N/A

It's 2021 and Microsoft still thinks it's okay to sell a controller without rechargeable batteries as standard. Hmmm. This is an essential accessory to remedy that, but it's a wee bit pricey. On the plus side, it's easy to set up and the charging connection is USB-C.

The cable and connector are great and the perfect length for me.At first glance these seem like a great accessory to have, but every time these battery packs start to lose their ability to hold a charge. This will depend on how much they are used and charged based on the user, but in my experience they didn't last very long before they wouldn't hold a charge.While they did work at optimal performance they had a very good battery life and charge relatively quickly. I did have an issue with one of my gaming headsets though and these charge kits. Pros: No need to replace flat batteries!Cons: Make sure your controller has the correct USB port for the product. My controller did not have USB C port, so needed to buy a different contector. Check your controller before buying this product

Pros: Charges fully in around 4 hours and lasts a long time before needing recharged. Much better than AA’s. Why this has to be bought as an add on and not in the controller by default is the only question..Cons: Could do with a light indicator on USB cable to show when fully charged (it doesn’t have one) and also doesn’t seem to warn when battery is low controller just turns off once it needs a recharge.
Pros: I like that the battery pack slotted into the controller but sadly that is all.Cons: This pack cannot be used whilst it is charging so if your controller dies you then have to stop playing. And when it is fully charged it runs out so quickly. A real poor value product for the price you pay. You’d be better off spending less on a third party one, they are great. Or even better the elite controller!!
