Easy to install. Grab your nuts and bolts from the local hardware. The mounts work great once you work out the method for threading the lockable skewers on is reversed.

If it had a longer thru bolt, it seems that the modern forks using axles would be able to fit on the mount - at least the fork from a 2010/11 Giant/Fox fork with a 15mm dia axle would. The end cap is good to go to accept a longer thru bolt; it has a hole in it that would allow the bolt to pass through were it tightened farther and farther. This is a very nice option for truck bed bike transport. I appreciate the locking feature and will utilize it but I still wouldn't trust it as as my only security measure in sketchy areas. I'll run a huge chain through the frame and lock it to the truck "D" ring as extra insurance whenever my ride is out of sight.
It works, but I have an older version that doesn't have an exposed bolt nut on the other end. That one is superior as the bolt/nut cannot be tampered with when locked. This one does work and is cheaper too manufacture. The lock mechanism is also more exposed on the new one. Overall it does the job. I also had a matching lock core so I didn't really consider any other brand.
This is the ultimate KIS bike mount. I mounted it onto the toolbox lid on my pickup in about 30 seconds. I used a piece of aluminum plate about 4"x4" as a backing plate under the lid. I figure it probably helps with stability in the turns.I use a cable to lock up the bike but as it's an HP Velotechnik "Street Machine", I really don't see anyone stealing it anyway. Most people don't even know what it is! LOL!I've recommended this mount to several people already and everybody I know who has one loves it. Great product.
Installed quickly with little effort and holds the bike firmly in place. Lock is easily bypassed with a good hard tug on the lever so a bike chain is still needed to safeguard the bike from theft.

Works great to stand up a bike INSIDE of a small SUV. Had to use some Yankee ingenuity to attach it to the inside of the vehicle. I used it in my 2003 Toyota RAV4 until it was totalled. I now use it to stand up the bike INSIDE of my 2013 Honda Fit. Instead of having it slide around in the back, it is secure. I can even put 3 people plus a bike in the Fit.
Nice front fork mounts that allowed me to match the locks to all use the same key. Easy to mount, also made of the perfect material for the environment that they will be used in.
