Based on other reviews, it seemed that I could use two subwoofers with it (both the included wireless and an additional wired). This is not the case. The included subwoofer is not that great. I'd recommend purchasing the NS-SW100 and an additional RCA cable and use a wired sub. Once I connected a different subwoofer, the package sounded complete.

The sound reproduction on this soundbar is outstanding bearing in mind it is a single unit, apart from the supplied subwoofer Yamaha is definitely the best sound system manufacturer and at this current price is an absolute bargain. Originally when launched it sold for around 1200 and even then it was good value when compared with Sonos or Bose

After listening to many products I believe the YSP-2700 is near the top of the heap for soundbar + sub solutions for those of us not wanting multiple speakers but still crave immersive sound.Using the product with a Sony XBR65X930D, the improvement was immediately apparent, even without yet doing the automatic optimization routine. With an oddly shaped room I'm not getting peak performance, but the simulated surround effects are still apparent. Simply turning the YSP-2700 off automatically routes sound back to the TV's internal speakers, when using HDMI ARC, so comparisons are quick and easy. The on screen display could be expanded, such as for volume and subwoofer levels, because the display on the unit itself an be hard to make out unless the room is dark. ... MoreAfter listening to many products I believe the YSP-2700 is near the top of the heap for soundbar + sub solutions for those of us not wanting multiple speakers but still crave immersive sound.Using the product with a Sony XBR65X930D, the improvement was immediately apparent, even without yet doing the automatic optimization routine. Yamaha has a winner in this price range, everything Sat TV, discs, streaming sources sound clearer and better.

Really happy with the product. High quality sound to fill the entire room even though mine is in a large open space. I can't feel much surround out of it, but that's from the fact that it is placed in a open plan and no walls to reflect the sound.
Very easy to setup. Great sound quality. It comes with 3 HDMI inputs which is sufficient to my setup but if you have more than 3 devices need use this soundbar, look somewhere else. The output resolution is digital output which means you need change your TV settings to pixel to pixel mode or turn off over-scan to receive the full picture.
Had the product for a year. A little expensive if you buy it on full retail, but its a steal on sale. Note that it is a sound bar so dont expect it to sound like a real surround sound system. The sound beams works well in rectangular/square rooms not so great in odd shape rooms/open living.
Looks, feels and performs like new for much cheaper than full price. Great sound separation but not as convincing as a multi speaker set up. I love the minimal look so Im more than happy with the simulated surround. I have an LG tv, my previous LG Soundbar was entry level but was more seamless connecting to the Tv and had more responsive volume control. The volume control through TV on the Yamaha bar feels a little laggy.
After a week I still haven't managed to get any surround sound. The sound between my chair and the TV is quite good but I'm still experimenting with the settings. So far I've found that DPL Music is better than DPL Movie for myself with Matrix Decoder and DPLx Parameter set to Panorama. But I'm still trying. Every situation s different and what works for one won't work for another.
The unit took a bit of setting up, but after several hours of tinkering with the settings and perfecting the Beam settings I can say this unit produces amazing sound. Out of the box the unit feels high quality, made with Metal instead of Perspex, with responsive buttons. The sound quality definitely benefits from some tinkering in the settings panel, especially if you intend to listen to music as well as watch films. Overall, a very impressive unit with a diverse range of uses.
We chose this sound bar due to Yamaha's reputation and features of the bar. Overall we're happy with the sound quality and general features and would recommend it. Price is relatively high but if that justifies the sound quality then probably worth it. Suggest purchasing it during a promotion or sale period.
