Our local school called with short notice. They needed sound for a full gym and several hundred people around tables. Since I had just unboxed the Stagepas, I told them I would give it a try. Sound was phenomenal - filling the room evenly from a half court side stage. Bluegrass band, singer/guitar combi, political speeches, and singers with tracks. Several musicians complemented the sound on this annual event - "best sound ever" they said. The speech/music control was more useful than expected. The 8" speakers sounded bigger. Portability for sound quality was fab.

Some background: I've been using the Line6 PODxt and the HD500 pedal for amp modeling. I also have a Variax guitar in my collection. I have not been happy with my modeled sound running thru several different guitar amps. I enjoy creating loops to jam along with using my Trio and my RC300. One man band type of thing, ala Dovydas. I purchased this unit and have been very happy with the sound and the ability to mix. The Variax acoustic model sounds awesome running thru the Tweed B-Man amp model. Excellent reproduction of the sound I hear in the headphones. The Stagepas will double as an excellent backyard party sound system. I also happy with the low end but may consider adding a sub at some point.

I placed the stagepass 400 BT right next to the S1 pro from Bose and I tried same song on Bluetooth, played same song on piano, same song on fender jazz bass guitar using only one Yamaha speaker and every time the Yamaha has the best sound quality.Better things on Yamaha:2 speakers, so more powerAmazing detachable mixer with a bunch of Channels and extrasLow sounds way better than BoseBetter things on Bose:Lighter weight, more portable100 dollars lessEasy and fast set upThe lithium battery is a really good featureSo you can decide weather Bose or Yamaha fits better your needs but if you are a professional musician I assure you Yamaha sounds better.

Perfect for small to medium sized venues. Easy to transport. Built in effects and Bluetooth are great extras. Great sound quality for solo acoustic & vocal shows. I also use it for the occasional basement jam with loud drums and electric guitars and it provides plenty of volume. Great system!
I needed a small flexible PA for use in a wide range of events - probably up to 100 people. There are several similar systems by different manufacturers and there is a larger version of the Stagepas 400BT (which is larger physically as well as power output), but I decided this should be big enough. Used at a event with 75 people a few days after receiving it for music and microphone. Easy to set up and use, sound was fine (although it would need a subwoofer for a 'disco'). Useful features included Bluetooth; feedback suppressor; reverb/mini FX unit with separate channel 'send' controls and on/off footswitch; a 'simple' EQ knob and XLR and Jack inputs. Guitar-in works fine, not tried anything else yet. Packs neatly into the two spearate speakers so not too heavy to ... This is exactly what I was looking for as a singer. The effects are spot on and the system sounds incredible. I highly recommend this PA system. I also highly recommend Samash for all your equipment - great prices, deals and service!
Great PA for small venues. Robust equipment with superb sound quality. Blue tooth connection is very useful.Very neat how the mixer clips into the back of one speaker and the speaker and power cables fit into the conpartrment at the back of the other speaker. Truly portable, just have to carry the two speakers, and they are not too heavy compared to the bigger model Stagepas 600
I have owned the Yamaha Stagepass 400BT for 3 years now- I was able to purchase the systems complete with the roller bag additional speaker stands, mic stand and bags. TOTALLY WORTH IT!I am a solo singer/songwriter (or at least attempt to be, ha) and have played with others as well using this system. The 400BT is quick and easy to set up - tear down and makes as a great sounding PA system for multiple environments. I have been able to entertain bars, marina's and house parties with up to 150 people using this setup. And the Bluetooth is an amazing addition. Like any other system you do notice some drop-off in sounds after about 50 feet - but it still sounds greats. With the range of about 30-50 ft depending on what is in between the system and myself, it gives me ... I generally play with one other person through this, but occasionally we get guests who either sing or need to plug an instrument in. This can accommodate all of us and we use the BT400 not the 600. We use a Mackie thump speaker out of the subwoofer port which helps with fullness of the sound, not that it's bad to begin with. The only amp we used to bring along with our old PA was the bass amp but don't even need that anymore. Awesome sounding, portable and all the basic functionality you would need for a two or three person crew. The portability is awesome, we only use when when we play out as we have a dinosaur Peavy PA for practice that stays where it is. I use this Yamaha as speakers for my computer if I know we have a lot of time between gigs. Awesome for just ... If you're going to be playing a passive instrument through channels 5-8, you're going to want a booster.
