It's expensive but worth it because of it's unique size and design. Fits perfectly for a small kitchen countertop without taking over too much space. Drainage is effective, only downside is in hard water places the plastic drain does get covered in limescale often and the drain pipe and faucet can get manky. Does require a good clean to maintaince this. Otherwise the metal base is solid and easy to clean. Just the plastic base that needs cleaning often.

This dish rack is the best! The kitchen in my apartment is incredibly small and counter space in limited. Pre-pandemic, my roommate and I dried everything that couldn't go in the dishwasher by hand. I splurged on this dish rack in May of 2020 and I think all the time how grateful I am that I did. It fits perfectly on the teeny sliver of counter top we have between the sink and wall. It's chic, sturdy, well-made and has saved us a ton of time. If you are wondering if it's worth it, it absolutely is! I've now gifted one to my parents as well.

I can't decide, love it or hate it. The small size is great. I live alone and if I keep up with dishes, it works well (love). If I leave things for a day, well it's too small (hate). Dishes dry great on the top rack (love). The bottom tray gets dripped on and things take a long time to dry (hate). It's taken a long time to figure out how to put dishes on this thing. I have to wash dishes in a certain order so they fit. I've managed to break a beloved saucer because it slipped through the wires. But it is beautiful and takes up almost no counter space.

There's certain things about this rack I loved but there's a reason it's no longer on my counter. We have fairly hard water and the bottom rack would become stained constantly, requiring serious scrubbing to clean up. The little ramp to drain the water was also a tad too short to adequately reach into the sink. Would work best with an undermount sink, which I didn't have at the time. I'm sure this is a great product for some people but it just didn't work in my kitchen.
As can be expected from this company, the dish rack is super sturdy and looks great. The utensil holder can be placed anywhere on the top. The bottom plastic piece is also made well and very sturdy. It may not be visible in all the pictures, but there is a plug for the bottom, plastic piece if you don't want to drain water. The entire rack is very easy to clean and holds a lot of dishes. The hooks definitely are useful too (and appear as though they are not easily broken). Plus, if you put the plastic piece on the top, you are able to use the bottom area for more storage or such. Super adaptable and excellent design. I would definitely recommend this dish rack.
I’ve never been one to own a dish rack because the thought of having a big, bulky plastic cage on my countertop never interested me. Also too, I’ve stayed away from natural materials like bamboo or wood because they are more prone to mold and water damage. After a few too many broken glasses while drying them on the countertop through the pandemic, I started on my quest to find a compact dish rack that looked great on the counter and didn’t take up too much space. When I received the dish rack, set up was extremely simple. I can’t even remember setting it up. That’s how easy it was. The material and construction of this dish rack are so pleasing to look at, whether it’s empty or full of drying dishes. I can’t even remember setting it up. That’s how easy it was. The material and construction of this dish rack are so pleasing to look at, whether it’s empty or full of drying dishes. The double tier set up with adjustable bottom tray allows me to fit just about 2 days worth of dishes with super minimal counter space. Of course bigger pots and pans need to be laid out on the counter still, but all of my dishware fits perfectly within the rack. I love the swiveled spout that drains water from the bottom tray, which allows you to position the rack on the counter any which way and guide the water into the sink for drainage. This drying rack brings me more joy than I care to admit, but I really can’t recommend it enough. Especially for smaller spaces where everything is always within my line of sight. Great job Yamazaki Home! You nailed it.
Excellent quality. Holds a lot more than you think but still feels compact. Love the drain system. It seems like it helps dry dishes a little faster too. This was recommended to me by a friend and I highly recommend to anyone. It looks very nice on my counter top.
After many, many years our bamboo “x” dish rack was finally dead and we needed to find a new dish rack. I wanted something that could hold multiple items and not take up a ton of counter space. I am so glad we went with the rack. The upper rack is perfect for dishes, cutting boards and mugs and the lower rack is great for pots/pans and other items. I love the three hooks for measuring cups and measuring spoons. I do wish the utensil holder was bigger but it works since it’s just my husband and I. It’s also a perfect, narrower size to give us a little more counter space. Next to it I have the bottle drier which is great to dry our water bottles, reusable bags and small coffee carafe. Highly recommend.
Does what it needs to do with little counterspace, and it's a great sturdy piece. The moveable hooks and utensil cup are awesome. Knocked a star off because the base tray doesn't do a decent job of self-draining. A large amount of water will slowly collect around the drain hole, but not actually pour through (even when I rock the tray back and forth, water will move AROUND the drain hole). For the price, I wish the base tray were executed better. What would make this better is if the base tray were designed with a steeper slope toward the drain, and the ridge peaks were thinner, not so squared off so water doesn't have a chance to pool on top of each ridge.
Construction and material seem pretty sturdy so far. It has a spout at the bottom that you can redirect towards the sink. There aren't any premade "notches" to hold your dishes, so bowls and deep plates have to be leaned a certain way to keep them standing. You could put the bowls face down on the bottom rack, but it will take longer to dry.I live by myself, and it holds the perfect amount of dishes from my daily use. I wouldn't recommend putting heavy or large pots and pans in it — it really is designed for dishes/utensils only. It can fit a small cutting board though!
