Yonex Astrox 100 ZZ 83 Grams (Dark Navy) Badminton Racquet
The Yonex Astrox 100 ZZ 4U5 is a pro level badminton racket endorsed by Akane Yamaguchi the prodigy player from Japan. It is designed for advanced level of play, specifically for players seeking immediate power enhancement to constantly outmatch opponents with maximum offence and aggressive approach to the game. This head heavy frame has been made of Namd graphite which improves the bonding of the fibres to improve flex and subsequently the energy transfer from the string bed to the shuttle for a spectacular shot power. Furthermore, the frame ensures greater vibration and noise attenuation thanks to the dampening properties of the Black Micro Core technology. The racquet offers a much stiffer feel and the isometric head produces a larger sweet spot for more consistency and accurate power, whereas the Nanometric material allows for using a thinner beam to establish a vastly improved striking speed. The Astrox 100ZZ arrives pre-strung with the BG65Ti string.

Badminton HQ were excellent from start to finish. All my questions were answered professionally through the website chat function and I was even offered a 10% discount for purchasing multiple rackets. At each stage I was given helpful advice and I knew exactly when the rackets would arrive. I ordered on Saturday afternoon and they were at my door Tuesday before 8am - truly terrifying speed! I’ve played with them a few times now, and I can say that in a happy customer. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The racket feels solid but also very good quality. It feels light and although is stiff when doing defence and net play it also feels almost flexible when doing rear court smashes etc. Its just a very good balanced racket. I think any intermediate player upwards will really appreciate this. Looks good too, especially with orange strings!

This racquet is definitely much better in terms of control and giving me an overall balanced play. Made a mistake requesting for string tension too high for myself. Will be back to restring my racquet again. Overall, love the purchase

Very recommended racquet for people who come from an even balance racquet. This racquet has speed and power if you have the right technique. Very all rounded racquet for doubles & singles players.
The delivery took nearly a month due to reduced number of flights across the Tasman. Glad that it eventually arrived. Great to have tracking to know where it is at. Racket is great. Looks good and plays very well
I actually went into the store to look at rackets before buying. The staff were knowledgeable and helpful. Obviously looking at the rackets unstrung in store but was useful to judge weight and flex etc. In person and get advice from staff. Ended up ordering this racket as its head heavy and attacking but not necessarily the most head heavy. Meaning its versatile. On court I have found its great at the back plenty of power with ease, but is still quick and agile enough to be good mid and front court. Might be better rackets for pure power but for all round play with a focus on power it's great. I had it strung with the BG80 power in Orange at 26lbs. Plays really well! And although it's not massively important the orange strings look fantastic with this racket. Will ... MoreI actually went into the store to look at rackets before buying. But 26 lbs is likley to be perfect, don't get drawn into top tension nonsense we aren't all world class players.
I was doubting the decision to invest the amount I did in the racquet, it was worth every penny after using it few times.
This racquet is very user friendly, good for smashing and dropping too. Highly reccommended. Good value for money.
I have tried this racket for few times and I like it better than anything else now. I admit it took awhile to get used to it. First session isn't great as the racket felt weird. During the second session I played, it became my best friend and I could control it very well. Compared to the previous similar rackets I have used previously, such as the Astrox 99, the Z Force 2, and the Armortec 900 P, this one felt so much better. This new Astrox 100ZZ doesn't feel head heavy so psychologically as a head heavy racket user, it did not feel right. However this racket is no different (actually much better) than the previous similar models when I get the opportunity to do a full smash. However this racket is no different (actually much better) than the previous similar models when I get the opportunity to do a full smash. Response is sharp and crisps, power is awesome, and much noticeably the angle is much steeper (I also suspect this could be because of the strings I use, the BG Aerobite as this is my first time trying with this racket). Overall, the play-ability felt weird compared to other rackets, but surprisingly produces way better performance than any racket I have tried. I would definitely recommend this racket to all intermediate and above players.
sharp, responsive, perfect for the jump smash and allow u to pin point at ur targettouch at net, serve with precisionseems to be a bit less flex but it makes it faster.overall, my new weapon of choice.
