YSL L’Homme EDP is such a beautiful fragrance. I have worn it several times in various climates, social settings, and while doing different activities to ensure I formed a well rounded opinion and am certain I absolutely love this scent. The marketing for this fragrance presents it as a boozy bitter orange concoction that I anticipated would be heavy and astringent at best. I was delighted to find the opening of this fragrance was very clean and quite soft. It has a low projection of less than one (1) foot with four sprays. It quickly settles into a skin scent for me. On leisurely days, it will last less than four (4) hours on my skin. It does not last more than two (2) hours on my skin on days I am more active. As a woman, I enjoy wearing this fragrance right out of the shower. I also enjoy wearing this to the gym. I prefer when my partner wears this in the evening. It is great for dates and cuddling. I will continue wearing this regularly and cannot recommend it enough- for confident, sexy women and for men who want to attract the same. This is definitely a winner.

I originally received this thinking it was just going to be another powdery scent like Lanuit or similar, I was wrong, I tried to spray it and wear it, then let it macerate for a few days and try it again. Upon spraying and getting an inviting burst of citrus, the juiciness soon turns to a bit of sweet and spicy aroma. Once the redolence of the spice calms down, I pick up a little bit of an amber/vanilla flavor, soon after that it fades on me. It’s sort of bland and folds right in with the rest of the l’homme flankers. It does share similarities with the OG but it’s minuscule. Most of the official notes are fairly easy to identify: bitter orange, bergamot, lavender, germanium, cognac, cedar, oak, vetiver...but I also picked up hints of mulled spice, aromatic crisp gin, a dab of palo santo (such a tiny amount), and subdued pepper (I'm betting this is the bergamot coming through).It's a solid choice for fall and winter months, while also being light enough for a night out during warmer seasons. My partner mentioned that while his favorite cologne is a little sweeter and is still his signature go-to scent (it's also my fav on him, ), this YSL one has quickly become our 2nd fav.
