We were on the hunt for a new mattress that was reasonably priced, suited our comfort expectations, and could be delivered straight to our door because honestly, we loathe shopping... and shopping for a mattress? After having a Sealy Posture-Pedic for 12 years, my back started to hurt, so I ended up getting a 3inch memory foam support which helped for another additional 2 years. I finally ended up looking up new beds this month. After reading multiple reviews on beds in a box and top 2020 beds, I ended up purchasing this bed (queen, 12in cooling green tea gel memory foam mattress in a box). I ordered it off of Amazon and was at my house within 96 hours! I did weight like around 65lbs. I put it on the the bed and let it open to air to reset for 24 hrs and presto! This mattress is awful. It is so hard and uncomfortable. I have had it for two weeks now and it sucks. Also, I’ve tried three precious times to leave a review and each time, my screen freezes up and won’t let me write this important review. So—I hope this one goes through because this mattress is not worth it. I have gotten little sleep since swapping out my old mattress for this one. It’s terrible!

The truth is that this mattress is destined for the landfill.When you sit on the side of the bed, like when you put your socks on, the mattress drops to the box spring. There is no support.When I lay in the bed, the edges of the mattress pull up, and essentially curl up around me, such that the edge of the mattress is no longer even sitting on its platform.When my partner is in bed with me, I sleep at an angle - even far away on a king mattress - because of the complete lack of support this mattress provides. As a result, we're out hundreds of dollars, and I sprained a back muscle trying to sleep in this thing.To claim the warranty, I have to take pictures of the mattress sagging on its own, no one in the bed, according to Zinus customer support. Unfortunately, the mattress LOOKS just fine on its own. It's when it's in use that's the problem, and a mattress is made to be used.VERY disappointed in both the product and in Zinus.
I’ve now owned this mattress for about 5 years (bought in 2018). Initially it was a great mattress if you like memory foam. It was comfortable and I did rotate the mattress every 6 months or so. I am now going to replace it. Even with rotating the mattress there are permanent dips in the mattress from sleeping on it so it’s no longer comfortable and now it makes me run extremely hot. For a mattress under $300 this is a great buy and I’m happy it lasted 5 years. If you’re looking for longevity you’ll have to get something more expensive but this did the job for me at the time!
My husband just purchased this mattress. We have previously purchased several Zinus Original Green Tea Mattresses and find that this mattress is significantly softer than the original. I spoke to the customer representative to inquire about our 100 day guarantee and was advised to donate the mattress and order a replacement. I find this totally unacceptable from Zinus as we now have to repurchase a mattress and wait for a replacement. We also have to make arrangements for donation and/or disposal. I have spoke highly of Zinus in the past but am really not happy now. The alternative he offered was to walk around on the mattress or roll around on the mattress to stiffen it up. That sounds odd..........

After getting over COVID my wife and I decided to wash all the bedding which included a mattress cover to prevent bed bugs that encased the entire mattress since day one. When we turned the mattress over to remove the cover we noticed some shadowing on the under side of the mattress, but not on the cover that is supplied by Zinus, rather underneath it. Now here's the gotcha part. If you remove that cover to inspect the mold buildup you void the warranty. Additionally, according to Zinus, if you use the mattress for over 5 years mold build up is not covered by the warranty. This is a lot more firm than I imagined. Doesn't seem to keep cool like advertised. I'll still wake up at night from overheating. I wish I got something else but it's not worth sending back. I also hate that Amazon prices seem to be completely different. The best part of the bed was the fast shipping (maybe 2-3 days, just as good as Amazon Prime) & the lack of smell. Usually with a bed-in-a-box, it comes smelling like the plastic it was shipped in. I feel like I'm sleeping on a very supportive and very comfortable mattress!! And yes, I was shocked that such a big mattress could (and did!) fit in the box it came in!. I had no help in opening the box or getting the mattress onto my box springs, but I did manage it without breaking anything. I'm 70 years old but stronger than I look, so I just did it. After getting over the shock of just how big my mattress is, I laid down on it just to see how it felt, and woke up 3 hours later!! I feel like a million bucks, less low back and neck pain. I am SO glad I read a review of this mattress and then bought it directly from Zinus and not from Amazon. Great product at a great price!!
I recently purchased the green tea gel 12" mattress replacement for a 10" purple base mattress. Firstly it arrived in 3 days!
