My boy l-o-v-e-s Mackerel & Lamb! Every morning he has a hot (warm) Ziwi Peak brekkie, and he licks it up so fast. I put two heaped teaspoons into his bowl, add a few teaspoons of filtered water (bonus way of helping him to stay hydrated!) and mix to a thick paste (I warm it in a pan of water (double boiler method); I don't want to zap his food in the microwave). For wet food he loves to lick, but dry food he loves big bikkies so he can crunch (hard to buy; they're all so small, which he just hoovers, and it does nothing for his teeth!). I have no sense of smell, so can't comment about that. The empty cans are purr-fect for up-cycling, eg make citronella candles for outdoors for summer, potting small cactus plants (add a layer of crushed rock, for drainage, before adding soil), etc.

My cat has been using this product for quite a while.I ordered 12 x185g on 10 Jan 23. They not been used until Feb before previous stock finished. It was all right as usual at the beginning, until one day, my cat started vomit and diarrhea. Before making judgment, I did experiment: Stop the can only and keep all other food and treats as usual, so this is the only vibrable. The symptoms relieved in 2 days. While when Re-start the can, all symptoms came back in one day.Then I think it could be just a few certain cans got problem. So I stopped to give my cat any can from this order.Then I ordered another 12cans x 185g on 4 Mar 23. My cat was all right while waiting for new order. Unfortunately, when giving my cat new can from new order, he started diarrehea again. ... MoreMy cat has been using this product for quite a while.I ordered 12 x185g on 10 Jan 23. I discovered Ziwipeak Cat Food 5 years ago when we found out our cat had higher than normal glucose levels. Since being on Ziwipeak our cat has been able to be free of insulin and her last bloods showed that her glucose levels were of normal range. It was important to me to have a food that came in a tin for convenience yet wasn't high in carbohydrates and was a raw food as such. Cats can be extremely fussy when introduced to new foods, therefore the transition was done progressively. The results have been amazing.

Unfortunately I ordered a dozen cans of this and my cat won't touch it. It's like he doesn't even consider it to be food. He does like the Ziwi fish flavour wet food and is not a fussy eater. I tried giving it to my friend and his cat won't touch it either. I have noticed there are other reviews saying the same thing. I would recommend just getting one can to start with, to see if your cat will eat it, otherwise its a waste of money.
We bought this for our boy, Dolphie who didn't like it. So, we shared them with our neighbour's cats, who enjoy having them. I noticed that the cats have developed nicer coats and look healthier after switching to this. I was also told that their poo isn't as smelly as before. Hope one day our Dolphie will start liking wet food again, and this will certainly be our first choice for him.
My cat is allergic to chicken - possibly even more than chicken but I hope i'll never have to find out because this product is amazing.Venison is an incredible meat for cats with hypoallergenic food needs. Ever since i've put him on it, he's stopped scratching himself and is calm and easy going. Venison is hard to find across proteins available in cat foods and this one truly is the best
This is the only wet food my kids will eat. I water it down a bit. The food seems expensive compared to other brands but it's really not because the can is all solid food. It's not a watery mess where you get a few morsels and all water. So basically you're getting twice the amount of food another product has. The cost equals out and you're getting highest quality food on the market.
My 12 year old ragdoll likes Ziwi peak. I give her some each day in combination with her dry food. With anything that isn't patê she just ends up eating the gravy so I was happy to find a healthy patê she'd actually eat. However, I purchased a tray before the massive Ziwi price hike. This is so expensive that I'm not sure I'll buy it again unless it's on special. It's just too pricey.
My Tonkinese loves this flavour. I needed to find a limited ingredient diet with no 'fillers'. This food nailed it. He wasn't keen on paté at first as he's always preferred casserole consistency. But with him missing teeth and the amazing flavour, he gobbles it right up. It gives me peace of mind knowing I'm giving him the best I can.
This product is so expensive, but it is also incredible quality. It’s so rare to find single protein limited ingredient food that isn’t packed with fillers and random stuff (cats do not need blueberries for fox sake!). My highly gastrointestinally sensitive Maine Coon loves this stuff and it doesn’t upset her stomach. She costs more to feed than I do, but you’d be hard pressed to find better quality tinned food anywhere.
