ZiwiPeak Daily Cat Cuisine Venison 85gm

(757 reviews)

Formulated on the same balance of meat ingredients, that cats would find by hunting in the wild. Animals fed on ZiwiPeak's food demonstrate a substantial improvement in their general health and well-being (compared to supermarket brands), with clear eyes, healthy coats and skin, healthy gums, long-term joint health, and huge energy levels. Because the ZiwiPeak range is high in protein and over 95% digestible, the animals eat less, enjoy better weight control, and benefit from less flatulence with less mess to clean up for their owners. Product features No colours, preservatives, fillers or grains. Easy-tab cans. Omega-3 fatty acids from flax seed oil. Free of antibiotics and hormones. Over 95% digestible.

After hearing about Ziwi Peak, I finally decided to have my cat give it a try. He loved the Venison Recipe. I did not like the larger bone pieces, even though this recipe has them ground down (other recipes do not so do your research.) My cat did gain weight on this food, so I will have to have him work on losing weight now. This food has lasted me quite a while and so it’s definitely worth the money. It does dry out after opening but I just add water to it, which is no big deal because water is excellent for cats (and everyone). The reason I’m giving this 4 stars is as follows. First is because of the bone pieces. I have had to pick out the larger ones even though they’re supposed to be ground down. As well, my cat has gotten fat on this food so it’s just not a good fit for him with the amount I’d have to give him for him not to gain weight (not much) due to the calorie count of the can size (6.5oz). Overall, good ingredients and the cans are BPA free or BPA-NI. If the food were less nutrient dense and had no bone, I’d rate it 5/5.

This is a really great purchase because of its chunky-loaf texture that my cat loves. It's grain-free and low carb, perfect for my cat's dietary needs. Moreover, it's a limited ingredient diet, with real meat for high protein. This cat food delivers peak nutrition, exactly what I want for my furry friend. Plus, the ethical and sustainable ingredients make me feel good about what I'm serving. Highly recommended!

Amazing for IBD cats.

I have a young special needs cat who’s had issues with IBD since he was a little kitten. Everything triggered his issues. I had a hard time finding a food that wasn’t mixed with a problem protein. Even the prescription diets had ingredients he couldn’t digest. Ziwi stays true to the protein they advertise. This isn’t venison mixed with chicken. It’s venison. That makes me and my kitty’s tummy very happy. Also love these bigger cans!

Just Received Today!!!!

Giving the venison a try. My Sunshine has a food allergy we are thinking. Have tried many brands of wet food including vet prescriptions. She is on steroid shots which help the itching/biting which was causing sores all around her face neck and ears. she was on the prescription D/D venison and didn't like it so I was concerned about this wet food but to my surprise when I opened her first can today she ate a lot then went back while later and finished the rest. I'm so grateful. I hope it works.

Life changing

This is the highest quality canned cat food you will find on the market. No gums or nasty ingredients that are known to trigger intolerances in cats, and a fantastic novel protein to trial for IBD. This food changed my cats life after a flare that led to an IBD diagnosis. He got his energy back, moisture intake increased, and his itching decreased considerably. The huge downside to this food besides the cost are the constant supply issues. This is a fantastic food to stabilize cats with and trial a new protein, but it is not practical to feed on its own as the sole diet. I now feed this in rotation 1-2 times a week for my boy as a treat, and have instead transitioned him to a balanced raw diet.I cannot praise this product enough. My Cat Says Delicious
10 February 2024

I have a senior cat who has had seizures for several years. We have been able to manage his seizures holistically with CBD oil and Chinese herbs until recently when seizures increased to multiple times a day. First thing my vet recommended was to add a prescription seizure medication and put my cat on a diet of venison and/or beef, so I ordered Ziwi Peak. My cat is eating this food better than anything he has ever been offered. Extremely pleased with his appetite enthusiasm AND his seizures have decreased significantly.

My Cats Love Ziwi Peak Venison
24 May 2024

Because I only feed my cats wet food and Ziwi Peak Venison is pretty expensive, I save money by mixing other good quality wet food with it. I mash together two 6.5 cans of Ziwi Peak Venison, two 5.5 cans Wellness Morsels Turkey Dinner Cubes, and one 3.0 can Nulo Minced Turkey and Duck. I store this mixture in the refrigerator in a container with a lid and make a new batch every other day. Both of my cats love Ziwi Peak Venison alone, but they also love this blend of foods. Both of my 13 year old cats are healthy, happy, and have soft shiny coats. I highly recommend Ziwi Peak Venison.

Ocho loves it, but-
12 March 2024

So, the quality and sustainability of this food is excellent. My kitten, Ocho, has a GAZILLION food allergies and LAWD it was a nightmare to find something he could eat that wouldn’t turn his borthole into a portal to release the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse: Barf, Farts, Crustybum, and Poo!! This food not only solved the problem, but he seems to like it.The only reason I give it 4/5 stars is because the pate is very dense and dry. I had to add some hot water to break it down into a softer pate that Ocho liked, because he was -not- diggin’ it straight from the can. Coupled with some Natural Balance venison kibble, the softer pate was much more to his liking!

Only Wet Food Frankie Eats
4 May 2023

I rate it 3 stars only because of the supply chain issues. When I have a big stock at home, Venison is in stock, but when my supply is low, it's out of stock everywhere. It's also very expensive. We started buying this food for our little girl who had IBD and many other health issues. The boys rejected wet food and would only eat dry from the time I found them. But slowly both Frankie and Jessie began to eat a little of Cassie's wet when she left some in the bowl. Over time we offered more and more wet to the boys until we actually got Frankie off the dry food.. Cancer took Jesse in 2019 and Cassie finally succumbed to her accumulated health problems in 2022. Now we only have the big fella (Frankie). He currently eats both the Venison wet food and Petcurian Limited ... MoreI rate it 3 stars only because of the supply chain issues. We are afraid to change Frankie's food to another Ziwi Peak flavor so we keep holding our breath to work past the supply chain problems.

Took a chance based on reviews
13 June 2023

A friend recommended this and reviews were decent. 4 male cats and 0 takers. I only opened 1 can (they are rather large) and gave everyone a small spoon to start. No one tried it. I put some on my finger to see if i could get a taster and 1 took a lick and then quickly backed away with a look of betrayal. I thought maybe if they were a little hungrier they would give it a chance so i removed their 'grazing crunchies' and tried dinner time and again, nothing. They went on a hunger strike anytime i offered this can. I have the whole case minus 1 can-I wish there was a program to get a sample pack of a few different cans/flavors of food since cats are well, you know, cats. Combined these 2 items alone were over $100 *insert wince here*
