Awesome product. This is our 2nd MX6, the last one worked non-stop for about 7 years. It is still going, but not cleaning as well as it used to and not climbing the pool walls very well, so we decided to get a new one. We were delighted with the first one and just as much so with this one. A fantastic pool cleaner, so compact, so simple and so effective. Great value from Maple Pools and great service.

We have found the Zodiac MX8 MkII Pool Cleaner to be far superior than our old pool cleaner. Our old cleaner constantly got stuck in one corner of our rectangular fibreglass pool. We found the Zodiac MX8 MkII does not have this problem and cleans the entire pool without a hitch. We have also teamed it up with a Zodiac Leaf Catcher which we are also pleased with as we are surrounded by trees. It is far too early to tell if it will last the distance but so far it is looking promising.

I have had this cleaner for over a month and am quite happy with it, however, it doesnt climb the walls of my pool as well as the one in the demo videos. My suction was actually a little higher than recommended (10 revs/19sec), so this may be due to the shape of my pool. Being in an arid climate, i get a lot of dust, pollen, and grass etc blown into the pool so I have recently started running it with a Gator in-line surface skimmer. The two of them do a great job keeping both the top and bottom of my pool clean. I prefer the MX6 over the loud kreepy krawly type cleaner it replaced and i have recommended it to several of my friends. Pros - quiet, no fuss, Cons - extra hose lengths are expensive.

Item works as advertised. Nowhere in the documentation provided indicates the pool pressure to enable a correct decision on the type of item purchased. i.e. When the cyclonic brush is attached the unit moves extremely slow, even when on setting 3 (too much drag??), though it does clean residue left behind using the normal brush, which does it's work quickly, even on setting 2. A simple note about the minimum pool pump pressure requirement would be nice.
Can't handle the flow of the pool and gets washed away easily. Doesn't do walls as well as described. Connection comes off easily and falls into pool then you have to retrieve the main head. Hose can get twisted and limits the area it can do before manually untwisting hose.
IT IS REALLY SLOW AND SOMETIMES IT JUST GOES AROUND IN CIRCLES!!! I am unable to get it to work properly. I have tried the 3 skimmer box settings and it dosen't make any difference to the performance. I have tried shortening and lengthening the suction pipes still no go, I will try playing with it for a bit longer see what happens.
Constantly gets blocked with minor debris. Expensive for a machine that does not work. Purchased a $1200 unit from same supplier and it works fine. Sold my unit for $60. False economy if you buy this unit.
This is the biggest gimmicky piece of poorly engineered crap I have ever seen!! You pool needs to be perfectly clean with no debris what so ever, and even then it wont move around the pool as advertised. I have tried all the settings and have to run out every 5 minutes to unclog it. A simple leaf will be enough to block the wheel and stop it from working. Whatever you do DON'T buy this product it is a total waste of money and I have had better use from a $50.00 Stingray clone. A total waste of $300.00!!
Great little pool cleaner . Due to its design it goes through a series of cycles which stops it from getting stuck for any great length of time . It gets the pool spotlessly clean . The only negative occasionally it tries to crawl out of the pool sucking in air but it soon changes direction and purges itself . Ive bought some duds in my time this one I highly recommend , Kerry .
This little machine moves smoothly around my pool (no thumping!) and picks up most leaves, dirt, etc. I've got a gum tree beside the pool so there are lots of leaves when the wind blows. Doesn't like a small branch of leaves but nor did my previous pool cleaner (and it gives me an excuse to dive in and pick it up off the bottom). The little scrubbers seem to do the job. Climbs the walls but won't go on to the ledge along side of my pool - I just brush that once a fortnight.
