That covers every meal you will likely make! Plus the shears for cutting herbs, opening packages or more kitchen chores. Amazing set of knives!

This was our first purchase of Zwilling knives. They are so well balanced and sharp that they make cooking fun. The set was worth every penny!

Good place to start

This set comes with a 6-inch chef's, 5-inch serrated utility and a 4-inch paring knife. It will get the basics done in any kitchen. Great for a small apartment, an office kitchen or for someone just starting out. Good set of knives to build skills with while you're eating well.Professional S is terrific line of knives. They feature a traditional straight bolster and a slightly smaller handle. As a result they are a little lighter than the new Pro line. I have owned one of these knives for years (more than 10). It has performed year in and year out, and I cook a lot. I sharpen it maybe twice a year, hand wash it and it looks like I never use it.

Great Knives With Knife Block Issues

The knives seem to be of excellent quality and workmanship. The Knife Block though has issues. We ordered the set and received it with a knife block containing a large chip and indentation across the entire front of the block and into the first two rows of knife slots. We returned it as damaged for a refund and had to repurchase another replacement set. This set also arrived with a damaged knife block containing a highly visible crack and scratch on the top front of the block across the knife slots. For a knife set with a price tag of over a $1,000.00 it is unacceptable that the wooden block, which is the focal point of the set, is damaged on any set, let alone 2 in a row. This was definitely not done in shipping as the box was well packed and the block completely ... MoreThe knives seem to be of excellent quality and workmanship. The Knife Block though has issues. This was definitely not done in shipping as the box was well packed and the block completely bubble wrapped inside - they were obviously manufacturer Quality Control oversite. Although we did not pay a reduced price for a "scratch and dent" or "floor demo" set we decided that returning it would be an exercise in diminishing returns as the historical odds were a 3rd one would also arrived damaged and might even possibly be worse that the one we are keeping. It is disappointing to have the appearance of such a high quality knife set minimized by a flawed block that otherwise would be beautiful and accent the knives in it.

Great starter set

Perfect for a first set of good knives, and the block is small enough for a tiny city kitchen. There’s one extra slot for an additional knife. (I got a bread knife separately since this set doesn’t include one.)

Perfect for NYC Apartment

Beautiful starter kit for someone living in an NYC apartment. It fits so nicely and the knives feel quality in my hands. Excited to start using them :)

Small but perfect for me

Perfect set for so many reasons. I prefer the 6" chef included as opposed to the 8" chef. The serrated and paring are equally as amazing. There are slots for a couple more knives, but what is included is sufficient for me. This is a great classic German forged knife set with a full tang. The size of the block is great for anyone with limited counter space, a second home or an RV.

Spatially Challenged

For the spatially challenged, this studio set if a great option. Compact block equipped with classic German made knife collection to give you a professional kitchen. Comfortable traditional three riveted handles and forged blades with long lasting edge retention. Block set includes essential assortment with extra slot to add a knife of your choosing.

The sharpest knives I've had

This set is awesome - it has all the knives (and a pair of scissors) that I need and they are all as sharp as it gets. Handles are very sturdy and solid. The manufacture is also top level and the wood holding block looks stylish. Overall, a great product that surpasses my expectations.
