Firstly, I really like exterior design if the case and it goes well with the other totk items but the case itself it really poor quality. It is really thin and will do little to protect it. I would be cautious putting it into luggage or a backpack as there is really no crush protection. It has almost no storage and the flap is designed really poorly. I would expect this quality from some cheap Chinese knock off not from an official Nintendo product. The botw collector's edition case is infinity better than this one. But hey at least it came with a screen protector.

Lets start with the pro. The case has great aestheic design. I love the Tears of the Kingdom artwork around the entire case. Unfortunately, the rest of the case is a little disappointing. The material doesnt feel very sturdy and unlikely to protect the console if it sustains any medium impact hits or drops. I am able to click the joysticks from the outside of the case. Get this case if you care about form over function, otherwise go with a more durable case.

The two good things about this case are the screen protector and the fact that the inside can be used as a stand. Here are all the things wrong with the case: (1) Outer material is not the same as depicted on the packaging, and is flimsy, offering little protection (2) There is no protection for the joysticks or shoulder buttons, so they'll be bumped in the case, contributing to wear and joycon drift (3) The zippers are low-quality and installed poorly, so they catch and buckle at the corners (4) The print quality is extremely poor and looks like it will rub off quickly (5) The zipper pulls are flimsy and weak, and feel like they're going to fall off. I'm very disappointed with this case. It feels like throwing my Switch into a fanny pack unprotected. If you're looking for a Zelda-branded cases, skip this pathetic cash grab and get that one instead.

This case is perfect for your Switch or OLED version. It even comes with scratch and finger print resistant screen protectors for either model as a bonus. (They're not impact like a glass based protector which I recommend unless you'll just have it docked all the time). It has a nice stand feature, hold 5 game cartridges and a pocket for your joy-con straps. Everything you need for a great looking case and good protection. It's not think case. It's great for just carrying in your hand or a bag. The details on the car are beautiful and had a very good double zipper. Only reason I wouldn't recommend this is you want something to good pero controllers or are just really rough on your equipment.
I bought this as a companion to the special edition OLED Switch, and while the case design looks really good and matches the Switch well, the quality of the case is lacking. First, it's too tight, with the thumbsticks pressing up against the case. I can click the thumbsticks in if I press lightly on the case when closed up. Additionally, it's not very sturdy, if you dropped the console inside the case, you're likely gonna damage your Switch. It looks nice, and is fun to have in a collection alongside other TotK items, but I don't think I'll continue use it, as I'm concern that prolonged pressing on the thumbsticks will damage them and cause cause drift on the special edition joycons.
The case itself looks sick, I love the design. However, it feels like a massive downgrade from my last case (which the print has peeled off over time). You only have room for the switch and 5 game cartridges, and no handle on the top. My old one I got when breath of the wild released had a handle and two cases to store games in (4 games per case), that neatly got tucked under the switch in the case, and a bag to put stuff in too. This case has none of that unfortunately, just a fold out for the 5 games which I’m worried could scratch the switch itself. The switch fits fine in it though
Aesthetically superb. The case is pretty and fits any size Switch (unless you mad lads have the plus-sized aftermarket joycons). Even came with some screen protectors for extra protection. Unfortunately, there isnt a strap or anything to hold it in place, so the switch just kinda jostles around in there. The internal flap only holds 5 games. And you can't fit a charger, stand, or much of anything else in with it. Lastly, the zipper is very small, which makes it feel flimsy and like it's about to snap if you zip too hard. It does the job, but only at the barest of minimums. At least it didnt break the bank.
I agree with the rest of the negative reviews. They are spot on. When I first received the case I was very excited about it. It looked great, smelled good too (that new leather smell). Upon opening it however, wow was I surprised. I am just severely disappointed. I own many Switch cases, so many in fact I use them for different devices including my 3DS because they’ve been good, great I’d say. This case however BY FAR has been the worst. Beyond looks it’s thinly layered. The case offers absolutely no real protection. My other Zelda cases are hard, one even has two creases where the joycons can lay. This is straight. The Switch cart holders is weirdly attached and it makes no sense why they made it the way they did. It doesn’t close right and gives you no way to show ... MoreI agree with the rest of the negative reviews. They are spot on. When I first received the case I was very excited about it. The Switch cart holders is weirdly attached and it makes no sense why they made it the way they did. It doesn’t close right and gives you no way to show what is up and what is down. Your switch will EASILY fall out of the case if you open it in any angle other than flat. And let’s be real, when you open your case you’re usually not thinking too much about in your hands and how angled you are. My other cases aren’t like this, the Switch can be held within. This case my Switch just slid out like butter. The outside is so thin, as I mentioned, you’ll easily be pressing against the sticks. Overall, this is highly and easy not recommend.I am severely disappointed that a Nintendo licensed product could ever be released like this and is by far the worst (licensed) product I own for my Switch.
This case is average. It looks really nice, and that’s about it’s best quality. There’s nothing to secure the Switch well on the inside; no elastic bands or such. So that if you accidentally picked it up and didn’t realize the case was unzipped; out goes your switch for potential fall damage. It would also be better to have a more rigid shell to sustain falls. I also wish there were much more cartridge slots.I think of this as a nice looking dust cover for my spare switch.
I was super excited for this case to go with my Zelda edition console. When i picked it up I had the biggest disappointment. The black print graphic on the black case is near impossible to see. Its also super thin and my swith barely fits. This means i cant include headphones or games as theyll bulge the case, and it pushes on the joystick buttons and i dont want them wearing out. It is also extremely thin and doesnt seem to offer great protection. Would be cool to put on a shelf as a collectors item, but not use to carry my switch around in.
