This tool is so handy its well balanced ,ergonomic handle, and very safe, to use .I can not rate this grinder any higher praise 10 out 10 for quality. Everyone should have one .

Have an 18V cordless brushless Angle Grinder that I bought about 5 years ago. Registered it on the AEG register to get the additional 3 years warranty. Used it many times per week and it performed flawlessly for 5 years. Started having an intermittent issue with the switch - sometimes wouldn't turn on. Took it back to point of purchase, who had it examined. AEG decided to replace it with a new one - upgraded model. Fabulous warranty and terrific customer service. Old school support. Always use AEG products in my workplace and this is the only time I've ever had a fault. Well done AEG for looking after your loyal customers so well.

I purchased this as part of my tool upgrade plan. I have several AEG products including the old style grinder (switch on top).. The paddle switch is by far and away the better option. The balance of the tool and the grip position allows very easy one handed cutting as the tool can be easily controlled. It has a buck/bite sensor and indicator which lets you know if you're overloading the blade and therefore helps significantly reduce the number the blade bites in the metal... I dont see any parts of this tool that I would change....Highly recommended

I bought this just over 1 month ago when my previous model died 2 weeks shy of the warranty running out. While I was waiting for the repair I required a grinder hence I bought this new model.It's much better than my last one and a big plus is I can leave the battery on this one without it going flat something I couldn't do on the last one. It has more power and just seems a better overall grinder. Very pleased I decided to buy it.
It takes a lot to get a 5 star from me, so il say the positive then the negative.Positive: I used one of these to convert the back of my dads coaster bus from a wheelchair ramp to a door. There was a lot of grinding involved. The grinder was strong for a better unit, not a 240v power but it more than did the job. I had 2x 4.0ah batteries that I would use about 3-4 batteries worth of power for the day. I was pretty rough with it including dropping it a couple of times and it handled it no worries. the adjustable shield was a nice touch.Negative:The vibrations of one awkward job made one of the batteries not fit as well. My slide switch skin finally died after 6.5 years and I decided to upscale to the paddle switch Fusion. The biggest benefit of the paddle switch is that you start it with one hand AFTER assuming the correct cutting position, rather than switch on using two hands and then get your stance. It is also a "soft-start", which means it doesn't start at full force. The tool is well balanced compared to the slide switch too since the battery sits a little further back. Also with the smaller grip you have far better control of the tool while cutting.
This is a powerful well designed ergonomic grinder with the trade/ work place/ farm & home renovation expert or even beginner in mind.I have found this to be easy to change the grinding discs over to cutting discs with the quick release built in center lock in mechanism. No chuck key or annoying tools needed!!!

This tool starts quickly and once you've finished it stops quickly. The feel of it in your hand is comfortable and the safety switch and flappy paddle is fun to get used too. It is so easy to use it that when your done it doesn't keep spinning, winding down, after a couple of revolutions it stops which is great when want to put it down and not worry about where it may vibrate to. When wearing hearing protection it doesn't seem to be as loud as my normal grinder used under the same stress environment, and I do not condone not wearing hearing protection for power tools, they are all handy to have and use, but we must remember to cover them on or put plugs in your ears.
