I purchased (2) of these AKASO EK7000 ULTRA HD 4K WIFI Cameras for my husband and son as their birthday presents. I didn't have too high of expectations going in, due to the low price tag and all the extras that came with the camera (you do get a lot of extra stuff but sadly no directions on what pieces connect to each other and/or how to assemble them so basically its a bunch of junk now) but both cameras seemed to do the job and for a very short moment, Mom was a Superhero! The boys were even surprised by how great the picture/sound quality looked especially underwater (but it's not 4K quality). The only issue we noticed right off the bat was the time/date would reset every time the battery was removed to be charged and/or swapped out to use the backup one. It was frustrating to have to set the time/date since it was not an easy task to do especially in the middle of an event and trying to record. Which brings up another issue, the user manual/directions, or rather, I should say the lack thereof, only made it a more difficult task to do. Other than that, the camera worked great and it seem to be a decent camera. Unfortunately, we only had the camera(s) for less than a month before my husband's camera battery somehow expanded while still installed in the camera. This rendered the camera useless since he were unable to charge the battery. I tried reaching out to both the manufacturer along with the reseller, ProExpress Distributor, customer service but both without any luck. So I attempted trying to remove the battery myself since I couldn't get a response and/or assistance from either of the companies. I was successful in getting the battery removed but not without causing damage to the battery, as well as, to the camera too.PROS:Price, Video

I purchased this camera to document some critical work being done on a vehicle. It was only to be used in the event that I needed to review video to see exactly where and how the multiple parts were disassembled. I knew it would be used in a shop while working under the vehicle and on top of the motor. I had priced other cameras and studied the reviews on various cameras prior to purchasing. This camera has won me over from the day I opened the box. Videos were outstanding and the camera was easy to operate. The remote operation is a fantastic way to keep the camera clean as well. I plan on using this camera now for all my automotive work and also on my trips abroad. I highly recommend this camera.

After reading reviews and watching video recordings on several different action camcorders, I decided to try the Akasa EK700 and I am not disappointed. The video it produces is of excellent quality. I used my action cam to record some fishing video and was glad I did as I caught a largemouth bass over 9 lbs and have it on a video. The attached video is the original video with no enhancements or digital editing except to cut out some portions to shorten the video. I did have the camera in the watertight case so the audio is barely recorded. Next time I will use the camera out of the case. The many attachments that come with the camera make just about any mount you might need. In order to be able to start recording with the remote anytime I wanted to, I turned off the power save so the camera would stay powered on but I did set the display save for 1 minute. The camera uses battery power when turned on, recording or not. I recorded a total of about 8-10 minutes of video and the battery lasted just over an hour. It is a good thing that a second battery is included. There is some distortion in the videos it produces, as is in all of the action cams of this type, but it is barely noticeable in the video Im attaching. There are a number of free video editing programsthat will correct the distortion. I downloaded Hit Film Express to do distortion correction. All in all, I am very pleased with my camcorder. For a fraction of the cost of a Go Pro, you get the same quality in my opinion. I would definitely recommend this action cam.

This AKASO Camera is very good. It comes with a lot attachments including 2(!) batteries and a dual charger. I took a quick video around the house and also used one of the mounts to put it on the dash in my car for around town. Worked great.Planning to take it on a couple trips. Really looking forward to trying the waterproof enclosure while snorkeling. From what I can see of it thus far, I recommend it to anyone looking for a reliable, inexpensive (won't break the bank) action camera.Cheers!
I bought this to go hunting/fishing. Also found great deal on GoPro hero 7 white. Akaso come with 2 batteries with option to buy more meaning more recording/viewing time. Gopro has internal battery. Image and app is better on Gopro but thats to be expected. And GoPro has better stabilization capability. Again expected. Can buy 3 or more of these for price of gopro and unless you plan on being a TikTok or you tube star they are well worth the under $50 you can find them for. Plus mine cam with a lot more accessories.
Really liked the camera. Audio was better then expected too. The remote didn't ever work for me, the lights on the remote would come on but the camera didn't reactThe camera worked fine for a few days then it wouldn't turn on but maybe once in ten try's, if that. I would try another one as this might be just a one off problem
I haven't used it yet, I'd ordered it like end of 2019 and got it Jan. 5th, 2020, it is out of the package and it does come with A LOT of little accessories, which is nice, I think I understand how to operate it, just have not used it yet. I don't think I remember seeing anywhere in the description though where it says that the micro sd card is not included. So you'll have to spend a little bit more for a micro sd card and it says a specific kind of micro sd card is needed . I did however read another review and they didn't get the specific micro sd card that it "requires" and that one works just as good as the one it says it specifically needs. So if any micro sd card will work I would not worry, the cheaper micro sd cards will be fine. So if any micro sd card will work I would not worry, the cheaper micro sd cards will be fine. I say cheaper as the specific one that they say that this sports camera needs was at least $11 something at Walmart (which is what I paid for the micro sd card since I went ahead and got the "specific" one they said to get. Again if you can't afford to get the more expensive one the less expensive kind will do. Again that was based on another review I'd read, So far though I actually kind of like this one, but then again this is only a starter one for me as I want to get an actual gopro camera and we all know those are $100+ to $300+ dollars as this was only $59.99 or a few cents less. I do recommend to get this one if you are on a budget or if you want a starter sports camera that way you can learn on it before you spend the BIG bucks on a gopro. Its a good starter camera, and seems to be pretty good so far, I haven't really used it except once or twice to get the hang of handling it. It works on any existing tripods you may already have so you don't really need to get a new one of those UNLESS you want one specifically for that, but you can buy the little gopro kits that have a few other extra items for these kinda cameras like the tripod, the head mount strap, the chest mount strap, the floating thingy something like a tripod but specifically for in the water.
The camera video and photo is good in daylight. Obviously for the price it's not going to compare to the go pro but it works and it's well worth the money.Point to remember. It records sound just fine when out of the case but inside of the waterproof case it's muffled. When using it underwater do not take the remote with you unless you waterproof it yourself. Guess how I know?I ended up exchanging it for the reason that the remote was not waterproof hoping that it was poor QA and it was not sealed. But the new one that came in also had same issue with gasket less remote. If you take it apart and silicone the inside it will work well underwater.
I purchased this for my daughter. She's nine. This camera is sooooooo tiny. It comes with a gazillion parts and pieces that she will probably never use. The degree of difficulty putting that stuff together is high and beyonnnnnnd me! The battery compartment snap on is hard to put on. I'm too the point where I just want to put tape on it and call it a day! The settings and buttons and lack of menu are minimum. By that I mean it should give more instructions. Takes good photos and videos as fat as i can tell...of course they are hard to see on the screen. We've yet to upload to computer. I'll have to get on YouTube to figure that out. Go pro next time they go on sale definitely! I wouldn't recommend this camera at all.
Don't buy this camera it sucks!! If you read these reviews with 5/4 stars very few actually used it underwater and they are going buy photos around there house. Almost all said they couldn't wait to use it diving but haven't gone . Grainy photos above land and pics underwater are 10x worse. I used it in water with 100ft perfect visibility and you can't make out squat even when I was 5ft from what I was shooting. Totally jacked up my dive trip to Maui.Save your money and buy a better brand. You will thank me later
