I purchased (2) of these AKASO EK7000 ULTRA HD 4K WIFI Cameras for my husband and son as their birthday presents. I didn't have too high of expectations going in, due to the low price tag and all the extras that came with the camera (you do get a lot of extra stuff but sadly no directions on what pieces connect to each other and/or how to assemble them so basically its a bunch of junk now) but both cameras seemed to do the job and for a very short moment, Mom was a Superhero! The boys were even surprised by how great the picture/sound quality looked especially underwater (but it's not 4K quality). The only issue we noticed right off the bat was the time/date would reset every time the battery was removed to be charged and/or swapped out to use the backup one. The only issue we noticed right off the bat was the time/date would reset every time the battery was removed to be charged and/or swapped out to use the backup one. It was frustrating to have to set the time/date since it was not an easy task to do especially in the middle of an event and trying to record. Which brings up another issue, the user manual/directions, or rather, I should say the lack thereof, only made it a more difficult task to do. Other than that, the camera worked great and it seem to be a decent camera. Unfortunately, we only had the camera(s) for less than a month before my husband's camera battery somehow expanded while still installed in the camera. This rendered the camera useless since he were unable to charge the battery. I tried reaching out to both the manufacturer along with the reseller, ProExpress Distributor, customer service but both without any luck. So I attempted trying to remove the battery myself since I couldn't get a response and/or assistance from either of the companies. I was successful in getting the battery removed but not without causing damage to the battery, as well as, to the camera too.PROS:Price, Video

This camera is rubbish, lightweight and feels like a toy. It was incredibly cheap so I would recommend for young children as you don't mind them breaking it but we tested it on children and they found all the buttons and interface very difficult to navigate. They were hardly ever recording because they just got so confused with the buttons. Please note this is a 1 star review for the camera - not for CEX. CEX are fab

I do not recommend. No stabilization. Only one focal length setting. Nothing in the description implied either but the description was a bit lite. The camera is over-sensitive to heat. After a couple hours in the sun it quits. And worst of all there is no built in memory for date/time. Every time the battery runs down or is changed the date/time have to be reset. Should have been priced at $10.

After reading reviews and watching video recordings on several different action camcorders, I decided to try the Akasa EK700 and I am not disappointed. The video it produces is of excellent quality. I used my action cam to record some fishing video and was glad I did as I caught a largemouth bass over 9 lbs and have it on a video. The attached video is the original video with no enhancements or digital editing except to cut out some portions to shorten the video. I did have the camera in the watertight case so the audio is barely recorded. Next time I will use the camera out of the case. The many attachments that come with the camera make just about any mount you might need. The many attachments that come with the camera make just about any mount you might need. In order to be able to start recording with the remote anytime I wanted to, I turned off the power save so the camera would stay powered on but I did set the display save for 1 minute. The camera uses battery power when turned on, recording or not. I recorded a total of about 8-10 minutes of video and the battery lasted just over an hour. It is a good thing that a second battery is included. There is some distortion in the videos it produces, as is in all of the action cams of this type, but it is barely noticeable in the video Im attaching. There are a number of free video editing programsthat will correct the distortion. I downloaded Hit Film Express to do distortion correction. All in all, I am very pleased with my camcorder. For a fraction of the cost of a Go Pro, you get the same quality in my opinion. I would definitely recommend this action cam.
I'd bought another "sports cam" for around the £25 mark (not from cex) and it seemed okay until after about 2 weeks it just wouldn't turn on and burned itself out.I didn't want to spend a fortune on a new so looked at cex for second hand units and found this Akaso EK7000. I have to say, it is fantastic! The picture quality is superb and so is the sound! I wasn't expecting anything this good for the price but I have been blown away by the quality and ease of use! When you consider a much older model of the big brand camera will still cost 3x what I paid for this I think it has to be bargain of the century! I can record in 4k hd too! Brilliant camera and great service from Cex too
I haven't used it yet, I'd ordered it like end of 2019 and got it Jan. 5th, 2020, it is out of the package and it does come with A LOT of little accessories, which is nice, I think I understand how to operate it, just have not used it yet. I don't think I remember seeing anywhere in the description though where it says that the micro sd card is not included. So you'll have to spend a little bit more for a micro sd card and it says a specific kind of micro sd card is needed . I did however read another review and they didn't get the specific micro sd card that it "requires" and that one works just as good as the one it says it specifically needs. So if any micro sd card will work I would not worry, the cheaper micro sd cards will be fine. So if any micro sd card will work I would not worry, the cheaper micro sd cards will be fine. I say cheaper as the specific one that they say that this sports camera needs was at least $11 something at Walmart (which is what I paid for the micro sd card since I went ahead and got the "specific" one they said to get. Again if you can't afford to get the more expensive one the less expensive kind will do. Again that was based on another review I'd read, So far though I actually kind of like this one, but then again this is only a starter one for me as I want to get an actual gopro camera and we all know those are $100+ to $300+ dollars as this was only $59.99 or a few cents less. I do recommend to get this one if you are on a budget or if you want a starter sports camera that way you can learn on it before you spend the BIG bucks on a gopro. Its a good starter camera, and seems to be pretty good so far, I haven't really used it except once or twice to get the hang of handling it. It works on any existing tripods you may already have so you don't really need to get a new one of those UNLESS you want one specifically for that, but you can buy the little gopro kits that have a few other extra items for these kinda cameras like the tripod, the head mount strap, the chest mount strap, the floating thingy something like a tripod but specifically for in the water.
It looks like a GoPro and works like a GoPro...but the image quality explains why it is 1/4 the price of a comparable GoPro (HERO 2). The 4K must be an "interpolated" 4K, because it does NOT look like a 4K image should...BUT...I did a side-by-side comparison (against a GoPro HERO 2, at 1080) and if you don't look too closely, some of the video footage (from the AKASO EK7000) had surprisingly better contrast and richer color than the HERO 2 (in daylight conditions). Image stability is non-existent. Setting the AKASO at 4K is still less image quality then the HERO 2 (set at 1080...since the HERO 2 does NOT shoot in 4K). The AKASO LCD display is helpful (for composing and monitoring). It came with ample accessories for above ground and underwater use. I hate the fact that you have to connected to the camera wifi so you’re not allowed to be in WiFi. So all the videos you have. You can’t watch them. It has no sound me and myself tried YouTube and everything. Really should come with the correct memory card. This was a gift for my husband. He been asking for one for years now. Finally got and I hate it enough for the both of us
Haven’t had any issues so far great quality need to find a betterSD card audio is alright but I suggest getting an external mic if you want to hear yourself better. The battery life is alright I feel like it does quicker maybe 30-40 mins probably due to me having it on 4k but overall it’s pretty good. The adhesive for mounting it on your helmet is a little tricky it had fallen off on me not riding but when I would set my helmet down and come back the next day to get it so I suggest either a strap on your chest or screwing it on your bike .
Pretty great camera for the price! I used my camera while on vacation/snorkeling. Takes good pictures and pretty great videos. I know that the GoPro is usually popular but this camera works just fine if you don’t want to spend too much on it. I might upgrade as I keep traveling but again, it works for now. The battery life holds up pretty well. I was very impressed. I highly recommend.
