I purchased (2) of these AKASO EK7000 ULTRA HD 4K WIFI Cameras for my husband and son as their birthday presents. I didn't have too high of expectations going in, due to the low price tag and all the extras that came with the camera (you do get a lot of extra stuff but sadly no directions on what pieces connect to each other and/or how to assemble them so basically its a bunch of junk now) but both cameras seemed to do the job and for a very short moment, Mom was a Superhero! The boys were even surprised by how great the picture/sound quality looked especially underwater (but it's not 4K quality). The only issue we noticed right off the bat was the time/date would reset every time the battery was removed to be charged and/or swapped out to use the backup one. The only issue we noticed right off the bat was the time/date would reset every time the battery was removed to be charged and/or swapped out to use the backup one. It was frustrating to have to set the time/date since it was not an easy task to do especially in the middle of an event and trying to record. Which brings up another issue, the user manual/directions, or rather, I should say the lack thereof, only made it a more difficult task to do. Other than that, the camera worked great and it seem to be a decent camera. Unfortunately, we only had the camera(s) for less than a month before my husband's camera battery somehow expanded while still installed in the camera. This rendered the camera useless since he were unable to charge the battery. I tried reaching out to both the manufacturer along with the reseller, ProExpress Distributor, customer service but both without any luck. So I attempted trying to remove the battery myself since I couldn't get a response and/or assistance from either of the companies. I was successful in getting the battery removed but not without causing damage to the battery, as well as, to the camera too.PROS:Price, Video

I took a shot with the Akaso EK7000 and I’m just amazed. It has all the bells and whistles without the sky-high price tag. This cam came with a lot of accessories and most importantly it shoots awesome video!

Having read various reviews on action cams and become somewhat confused, I decided to try this one, which was like many similar, marked "new" when it was in fact a refurb (which I knew when I bought it). The camera arrived on time in the original box which was somewhat battered but OK. I tested the video quality (1080-30fps) and it was not very good but all things considered it was just about acceptable. When I tried to operate the camera while enclosed in the waterproof case the power button would not work. It would only work outside the case - not much use! The first time I used the camera on my bike, I put in the square frame that can be mounted above and below. During the ride the camera fell out and scratched the body and the lens so the camera is no longer usable. Overall the camera is just about OK but at least some of the accessories are not, in my opinion, fit for purpose.

A decent microphone or sound is needed to make this worth having - the sound is totally distorted and muffled, I used it to record a car drive with the camera inside the vehicle - the object was to get the exhaust note under acceleration and at normal driving - it is just white noise totally un-listenable and distorted. Video quality is excellent. Accepting cards formatted as EXFAT to allow files larger than 4GB would be useful. I found that even on 1080p 30fps the recording cut at approx 15 min the same as when on 2.7k 30fps which implies the compression is rubbish as I would expect a much longer recording time on 1080 than 2.7k.
I strapped this to my four wheeler and recorded 3 hours of trail riding. The camera did a great job stabilizing the video and the sound quality was incredible even with other background noise. Cannot wait to use on more fun adventures.
The Akaso EK7000 is a pretty solid budget-friendly action camera. It shoots in 4K at 25fps, which is impressive for its price point. The wide-angle lens is great for capturing all the action, and it comes with a wireless wrist remote control, which is a nice touch. The waterproof case that comes with it is a must for any water-based adventures, but keep in mind that without it, the camera isn't waterproof. The built-in Wi-Fi is handy for easy sharing and remote control through the app.All in all, if you're on a budget and looking for a decent action camera to capture your adventures, the Akaso EK7000 is a solid choice.
This is a great camera for water sports! I kayak and jet ski a lot and am really happy with all the attachments and accessories that were included, especially the clip that is perfect for a life vest! More importantly, the video is sharp and steady! Great camera and would recommend.
This unit works well. It isnt top of the line but gets the job done. If you are starting vlogging it is a good budget choice. Batter life is decent and the batteries are very inexpensive. Be advised that it will only work with Akaso branded microphones but they are very inexpensive as well. I now have 3 Akaso cameras and they all work great.
Tons of accessories included in the box. External charger, extra battery +++. And I can use a bunch of mount accessories I already have. Very easy to navigate the menus. I like the push button interface, plus the external waterproof case has all the necessary buttons built in. Was impressed with how good the video quality is. Highly recommended!
I received the action camera with high intentions based on the reviews. I formatted my sd card ready to start shooting some action.First Problem: The Wifi would not link to my iPhone. Went on the internet and tried to resolve the issue; and many people had the same issue with linking their iPhone to the camera.Second Problem: After shooting content; the SD card would not read on either one of my computers. Could not view the content at all. Said the the card was not formatted for the computer.Total waste of money. Send this item back to supplier and went with a GoPro
