Alessi Plisse 1.7L Electric Kettle - Black

It's incredibly pretty and looks amazing. I should have researched the features more because I thought, for the price, it would have other features, like holding the temperature for a period of time after boiling or something but it doesn't have any other features. It's a normal regular kettle. A very expensive regular kettle that does at least look pretty.Edit - UPDATE - I've only had it since December and it's leaking out the bottom. How disappointing

First, great shipping service from Wayfair. The product came on time, a day earlier than expected, and in great shape. Love this tea kettle. Looks great and heats the water quickly. Surprisingly quick, instant hot water.

It looks beautiful in my new kitchen. Pours really well. It is expensive for a kettle but I have looked at it as a design piece as well. I didn't realise how much I appreciated seeing the water level in my last glass kettle, but this is just a personal thing and am slowly starting to judge water level by the kettle's weight. I have not commented on the quality as I have only had this kettle for a very short time and am hoping, taking its cost into consideration, it will last the test of time.

I have to give credit to a YouTuber who I saw who was using this kettle on her channel. I’m absolutely blown away by the modern and sleek design, matte black finish, ease of use, and efficacy. I love it so much that I also want to buy the Alessi toaster to match.

We love it...the design is so cool, love the feel, not heavy and functions so very well. It heats up quickly...definitely an appliance we needed to add to our home. We just recently 1st purchased the Plisse blender, another great appliance! With each visit to Italy I always come home with an Alessi product for our kitchen! 1 of my favorite pieces is the beautiful crystal bowl encased in beautiful stainless with a lid which folds up. We use it for serving parmesan cheese on our table.

Design makes you smile every time you use it.

Beautiful design very comfortable handle with very good balance when lifting and pouring, difficult to fill as the lid does not open very much. The switch seems light so time will tell as to the durability but makes you smile every time you use it, we have many other Alessi products that we use daily.

Elegant and brings class to any kitchen

Beautiful design, nice and quiet when boiling, ergonomic and pleasant to hold. Not to mention beautiful to look at. It was a bargain at 50% off. Not sure I would pay full price for it though (270$)

Italian elegance

This is a real elegant , surprisingly light and stylish looking kettle. When filling you need to pull the lid up on the lid and clip down when done. This seems a little fragile. Hope it lasts as I love the kettle.

Very happy with this purchase

I was on the fence about buying this for a while. Primarily because it’s plastic and it didn’t have a matching toaster. But after having it for a few weeks, those concerns are completely gone. It’s so sleek - I LOVE how it looks and it works like a dream too. It fits right in with my other white kitchen appliances (although it is the star of the show). Really happy with this purchase and Living by Design sent it so quickly, with such lovely customer service. Highly recommend!
