Alien For Women Eau De Parfum Refill Bottle 100 ml by Thierry Mugler

I cannot express how disappointed I am. I’m brave worn Alien for since 2005. I have always received so many compliments when I wear it. Starting around some point in 2020 I noticed the fragrance was a bit different. I decided to order from Mugler directly (or L’Oreal) because I thought maybe I would have better luck, but sadly that was not the case. The refill that was sent has very little fragrance and a strong alcohol presence. I reached out and told them of this and was told to send the unopened product back. Of course it was opened, how else would I have known the scent was off and explained this in my return email. I was also informed that it is possible during manufacturing there could be differences. I just want the original fragrance back. I told them to keep the money but be aware that they have lost a longtime customer. As if they truly care. So very disappointed!

First time I smelt Alien was 2014 in Nordstrom’s & I immediately became obsessed. I was a teenager so the only size I could afford was the smallest & I used it sparingly for the last 8 years. The best thing about it was the scent would last an entire day & if I used it on clothing like a jacket it would last multiple days. When I finally could afford a full size bottle I went all in but I noticed that not only did it have an overwhelming alcoholic smell, it also faded within hours. After doing some research I saw that the latest reformulation was done when L’Oreal bought the company & sadly that included the bottle I bought. My love for this scent has been forever !!I noticed recently a few changes have been made had I not read any reviews I would have continued to think it was my mind playing tricks on me . When I first discovered the best perfume I thought in America ALIEN I fell in love I had so many compliments and the scent would stay on a 24 hr period and the scent stayed on my clothes or car even the bedding for days ! Just recently noticed the scent is gone with in hours and there’s a alcohol smell included why do you offer an EAU DE PERFUME if the oil is not present ?
