I have two fire sticks. They work great. I bought this Fire Tablet to replace an Samsung Android tablet that had reached its 'expiry date' due to not being able to update its operating system. This tablet (Fire) does not last 12 hrs when being used. That aspect of the tablet is wrong. It does not run all the programs the Android tablet did or sites for that matter. I've not yet had a chance to use it for work purposes but will in the new year. Its a nice size, has wonderful graphics, fast, light weight and a great camera. It should come installed with the Google Play to be honest. The Amazon version is okay, but, sadly lacking some items that are needed. Not helpful or competitive with Android in that respect. I probably should have bitten the bullet and paid for the Samsung Android tablet to be honest. While this one is okay, its not what I expected. I've used Apple and Samsung (Android) products all my life. So I have a good idea of comparison. Rated 3 out of 5 because it isn't what I expected and therefore not a 5.

Have had this jazzo for about 5 months now. Works pretty well for the most part. For sure a great value tablet that has all the bells and whistles of its counterparts, and would recommend this due to the price point. My only "minor" gripes with the Fuego are that it's a bit sluggish. Switching between apps are a smidge delayed. Websites tend to load slow for myself, though connected 5ghwifi300mbpsAC3200nighthawkrout. I have some buffer issues when using Netflix or HBOmax. Though, again, could be my internet. I'd also add some webpage orientations can get wonky. Could be the page coding. Battery is great, add a microSD for more space. Wish it had a 3.5mm port. Still, for the price, I'd still whip out the wallet for this tablet. Named mine the Tablet of Gilgamesh... had a chuckle, then Alexa chuckled, good times.

I bought this when TSV for my 12 year old grandson for Christmas. I don't know about the device since it is not Christmas yet, but I have tried making the Caseable custom case for it, and the site does not work right. After many many attempts at loading the two pictures, it finally accepted the pictures; however, when I tried to add to the cart, it came up with this long red error. I emailed Caseable three different times. I finally got a reply telling me to upload using a different browser which I did. It gave me the same long red error. THIS IS A HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT. I asked for a phone number in the fourth email and even asked if they could place the order for me and I attached the two photos for the front and back of the case. I got no reply back. I thought he would love seeing his family picture on it, and he would know it was his. I also purchased the extra DS card. I hope the device works better than the website for Caseable. This was very deceptive. I am a regular QVC shopper.

I really wanted to like this tablet. I bought it as a larger, albeit not as multifunctional, device to do things I could no longer do on my iPhone. I’m getting older and it’s getting more difficult to see the screen. What a disappointment. The only thing it really does well is work with my Kindle subscription. I already have both a Kindle Reader and my 1st edition Nook Color, which works perfectly. And my phone, of course. I don’t need another eReader. I wanted it to play my favorite games, surf the web, which it does do OK. I also have a cheaper model Chromebook that I can do all that on. This tablet might as well be a paperweight! It’s heavy enough with the case I purchased for this model. It does not play my games, it is not user friendly-and I’m pretty tech ... MoreI really wanted to like this tablet. I have bought a few of these tablets from QVC, HSN & Amazon directly. They are fabulous, I bought an additional SD card as well. I also have Apple products, but they don't give you an option of additional storage through an SD card. I am a member of Amazon Prime, SO worth it for their content, but for me. It's the FREE shipping. I order so much I'm surprised they haven't caught on how much money I cost them in shipping? lol Everyone I have gifted this tablet to loves it as well. I have downloaded so many movies & books that didn't cost me a thing, because of promotional credits given for 7 day shipping instead of 2 day. I just bought the Top Gun Maverick movie with some free credits. I downloaded & can watch it anywhere I like & it cost me nothing except the initial ... You will use this tablet for most everything you do, want to do or haven't thought to do yet. My eldest son is in the computer field & he said this is a really good tablet for my most people's needs. It's so easy to use & I have never had to ask for his assistance to understand anything I've wanted to do on it. VERY happy with Amazon products all around.
I had NO issues with setting this tablet up. Quick and easy. Previous apps, photos and games were transferred in seconds. I’m not sure why some are having issues with lots of ads. The only ad I’ve seen is on the Lock Screen and it’s only one. A simple swipe gets rid of that. If you are getting ads while playing another app then that is not Amazon’s ads it is the game’s ads that you are playing. The screen resolution is very sharp. The screen touch is very responsive. And the camera is super sharp. Now as far as the Caseable voucher. It worked but I couldn’t get the customizable one I wanted. It would never upload the pictures so I ended up getting one already made. That one went through flawlessly. Having an iPad, which I love, this tablet meets the purpose and then ... Oh, it is true as a previous reviewer stated that the tablet doesn’t support the Amazon app. It did connect to it briefly but then kicked it out. But not to worry, you can just go to the Amazon website. I’ve already ordered extra storage and a screensaver!
I was in two minds about buying this tablet. I was considering a Kindle but after looking at the various options with the member of staff, I settled on this tablet. Not only do I now have the option of looking at my books in colour, which I could not on the Kindle, it's large size means that it is much better for using cookery books while cooking. Also YouTube items on fixing things are much easier to view than on my 'phone. It has also been invaluable when trying to organise my photographs. I took it on holiday and it was a very useful travel companion. I had the option of reading, listening to Audible, watching Prime, playing on line games or sorting out my photographs on the go. Do make sure you buy a cover and bear in mind, the charging cable is quite short. I swopped it for a spare long mobile 'phone cable I already had. It was much cheaper than other tablets and meets all my needs.
I rarely leave reviews, but I was pretty disappointed by the tablet. It is extremely clunky from a uix pov. I use the iPad Pro, and I do everything on it. I thought I would give this a try just to see how it works and it was a reasonable enough price point for me to take that risk. I also figured I could use it for streaming and use my iPad mostly for all the work I already do on it. Ultimately, the quality of this tablet pales in comparison to an iPad, let alone iPad Pro. I have not tried other tablets, so I can't speak to them, but there's a lot of work and room for improvement to be done by Amazon if they want to stay in this space-on myriad levels, even for this price point. The tablet doesn't remotely compare to the quality of any Apple ipad of any generation. ... MoreI rarely leave reviews, but I was pretty disappointed by the tablet. The tablet doesn't remotely compare to the quality of any Apple ipad of any generation. I am not an employee or rep for Apple, and am actually more of a moonlighting tech enthusiast. Having said that, another reason why I'm leaving a review is because they are now offering it on HSN for less money and on a two-for-one basis. they have the same parent and to me this indicates the fact that the quality just isn't there on this product and they need to get rid of them. I wish they would offer a credit to a customer like me who recently purchased it. I would say get it on HSN if you have kids get it on the two for one basis and you could probably get a coupon at hsn so you could probably get it for around $60-70 for two instead of $89 for one.
This is my 4th Amazon Fire HD tablet. All my others were 32MB internal storage with SD card slot for up to 128 MB additional storage. However, this latest generation tablet no longer allows me to download Amazon purchased media to the SD card. Only allows download to 32 MB internal storage. The 128 micro SD card I purchased cannot be used for Amazon downloads. I verified this when I contacted Amazon tech support for assistance. You cannot transfer files from internal storage to sd card to make room for more data either. I cannot return the sd card and it is useless on this tablet. I own an iPhone and an iPad so I am certainly not unfamiliar with electronic smart devices. I was interested in trying this Amazon Fire tablet because I liked the idea of an expandible memory. Set up was easy. But that is where the good part ends. Touchscreen response is absolutely awful! Yeah, maybe the resolution is good but what difference does it make when it is a major ordeal to get something to open or close. After uploading a few of my favorite apps, I thought I would browse around and I decided to use a streaming app. It took multiple tries to get an app to open. It took an unacceptably long time to get the thing to finally close because of touchscreen unresponsiveness. Yes, this is a lot less expensive than an Apple product and there is expandible memory. But so what if it is a battle to use? Unless Amazon can find a way to IMMENSELY IMPROVE touchscreen responsiveness, I will not try again nor recommend.
