Avene Cicalfate Lips Restorative Lip Cream

It goes on easy. A little goes a long way. It is the BEST for soothing those stinging dry lips. As soon as you put it in you feel relief. In winter it’s def my go to. I keep one in my gym bag as after a shower it’s so nice to put on.

Amazing product

Started suffering from really sore lips, for some reason they were getting really dry and around the edges they were really sore, when I ate anything hot (chilli hot), spicy, citrusy they would sting for a good 20 secs or so. I tried a number of products but nothing was improving it. Every time I tried to apply anything on my lips they would split on the cracks when sting. I eventually contacted a doctor and was prescribed a cream which had a steroid in it, the doctor said she thought it was most likely an infection from mask wearing it it was not an uncommon complaint. OMG even applying this product to my lips was a dream, the cream felt cool on the lips and went on so easy, i applied it throughout the day and night whenever I felt my lips getting tight. By the next day I already could tell an improvement, by the end of day 3 my lips were absolutely fine. Absolutely swear by this cream for anyone who is suffering with dry/sore lips. I now apply this cream whenever I go out in the cold and whenever I’m going to wear a mask. A small amount goes a long way and lasts for ages. Love it!!

Excellent Product

This is a great product; really works well for chapped lips. I often use this as an overnight lip mask when my lips need a little extra treatment. Definitely worth purchasing.

Great for walkers!

I find my lips are so chapped particularly when the weather is cold. This is great. I’ve been using it for a few weeks, I put a small bit on before I head out and it’s really helped. I will definitely repurchase.

Great lip cream

My lips have become incredibly dry and then turning into small cuts , I have tried a lot of creams and balms but after a few days they stop working but this cream is totally different it can be felt moisturiserising immediately . I use it especially at night as this is when they get really bad but not anymore,I could not believe how it left my lips overnight beautifully moisturised and actually I noticed them plumper and with more colour .This is a must have cream for me and I would totally recommend it for really dry lips. First time to use this brand , I’m really impressed

Love it

Avene as a brand is great for sensitive skins so i knew the lip balm would not disappoint. I use this at night or when at home as it does leave a slight white cast on the lips. But its working to heal my sore lips.

Moisturizing and long lasting

Feels lovely on the lips and leaves them feeling very moisturised/nourished. It lasts quite a while on the lips too. The only downside is that it can leave a white film on the inside of my lips, which I need to remove, but that I easily managed and worth it for the beneficial effects. I often use this while applying my skincare in the morning and then, when I’ve done my make up and am ready to leave, I apply my lipstick, on top of my smooth and hydrated lips, thanks to this!

Not a good effect for me

This felt very nice to put on my lips but the next day and the day after my lips were feeling strange a feeling of pulling together on the inside, almost like a nerve ending pulling sensation. I didn't like this and haven't used this product anymore. It didn't feel good at all for me. Perhaps I am sensitive to the ingredients, I am not sure.

Okay cream for lips

This was my 1st time trying an actual cream for lips. The moisturizing effect is okay but when your lips are dry it leaves a white cast on them which might look weird so I use it only before I go to bed and I wake up with great, plump lips.

The only product that worked!

I felt compelled to write this review after 6 months of searching for a product that soothed my lips. I have an autoimmune condition that causes my lips to be itchy but sore and chapped. Vaseline even irritated my lips and I had to drink things through a straw so they didn't bother my lips. I can't tell you how many products I've tried and how much money I've spent searching for relief!! As soon as I applied Cicalfate my lips were instantly soothed. It's not your standard lip balm...but it does do what it claims. I am so grateful to have found this product!
