This review is for number 186, Sensible. The color as appears on the website seems like a pink with a hint of brown, but.....in reality, this is more brown with a hint of pink lol, so I took off one star for the color mismatch. That being said, I kept this--it is a nice neutral for me as a fair skinned strawberry blonde (NW15 for reference). Probably dupeable if you have a lot of nude/neutral lippies, but is still a nice color. As consistent with the Rouge Allures, this lipstick is comfortable to wear on its own or with a gloss and has good staying power.

This was my first time trying the Chanel Rouge Allure Luminous Intense Lip Color. I was looking for a red color that would wear well AND wear away well, while being flattering on my fair, cool skin tone. I am always in the first three colors for foundations. That said, I liked 99 Pirate a lot and find it very flattering on my skin tone. The lipstick wears pretty comfortably and has a lot of color payoff. There is no crumbling or white inner, gunky, circle. This is not a deep red, more of a poppy red on me, definitely more blue in tone.

Beautifully pigmented and leaves a stain on the lips after hours of wear. I ended up getting more in different shades, such was the good impression. Soft on the lips, not drying and doesn't need many swipes to build up colour. Packaging is the usual Chanel quality.

I'm absolutely OBSESSED with Chanel's lipstick! I bought Chanel's Rouge Allure lipstick in the color Independant and it's the most beautiful color of red! It goes on so smooth and stays on very well! I wore this the night before my sisters wedding to her rehearsal dinner and it stayed on flawlessly the entire evening. I never had to touch it up even after eating and drinking. And the packaging is gorgeous! No one makes lipsticks and beautiful as Chanel! I love how it has chanel printed in the lipstick and the black and gold tube is so pretty. Chanel never disappoints me! Very well done Chanel!!
I bought this lipstick in the color 91 SEDUISANTE. The color is lovely but the lipstick seemed āwobblyā when I applied it, so I advanced it, thinking it was broken but it didnāt look it. However, it must have been defective in some way because on the second day it did break, near the base. I might blame the way the cover works, itās a push button thing and you have to be careful to make sure that the lipstick goes all the way down before putting the cover back on. I can still use the lipstick by using a lip brush to apply it but that means it canāt go in my purse, I can just put it on at home. I will stick with Dior lipsticks in the future.
i bought two of these for a birthday splurge. never spent this much $$ on lipstick (and i just recently turned 52), so i figured i might as well ring in my second half-century of life with a bang, lol ! these lipsticks DO NOT disappoint. rich, creamy texture with staying power galore. i have 'enigmatique' aka #135, and 'ardente' aka #175 in the rouge allure luminous intense category. #135 is a beautiful shimmery plum/pink which accentuates my copper-brown skin perfectly. LOVE IT! #175 is a beautiful red/pink/coral (pink salmon) shade which just brightens the complexion and is the perfect red for summer!wow... i used to consider myself a MAC devotee ... but i probably will never purchase another MAC lipstick. everything about these chanel rouge allures is sheer ...Ā Morei bought two of these for a birthday splurge. never spent this much $$ on lipstick (and i just recently turned 52), so i figured i might as well ring in my second half-century of life with a bang, lol ! these lipsticks DO NOT disappoint. rich, creamy texture with staying power galore. i have 'enigmatique' aka #135, and 'ardente' aka #175 in the rouge allure luminous intense category. #135 is a beautiful shimmery plum/pink which accentuates my copper-brown skin perfectly. HIGHLY RECOMMEND and am currently eyeing one of their neutral/nude tones to make this a holy trinity purchase.
The description is 100% accurate where it says "an ultrafine, melt-away, second-skin-like texture." The texture of this lipstick is unbeatable. It doesn't feel heavy or gloopy on your lips. In fact I can't feel it at all. This lipstick in shade 188 Secret is my all-time favorite, holy grail lipstick. One light swipe and it's a my-lips-but-better shade. Apply with a heavier hand and it becomes the rich burgundy you see on the model photos. A multi tasking lipstick! I have even dabbed this on my cheeks as blush in a pinch. It definitely fades throughout the day, so you need to reapply, but it fades beautifully to a lip stain type finish. And it doesn't leave my lips cracked or dry like other lipsticks. It feels nourishing and softening. My only complaint is that I ...Ā MoreThe description is 100% accurate where it says "an ultrafine, melt-away, second-skin-like texture." Lipstick consistency, moisture, richness of color is great. Case also is kinda cooly spring loaded. Unfortunately I bought this on the app and picked up in store and the color doesnāt really match the picture. I ordered Sensible which looks like a neutral with pink but in reality is much browner. My fault for not taking the time to go in the store and browse so will keep it.
Thereās some ingredient(s) in here that my lips do not agree with. Itās incredibly drying. Even with a lip balm underneath, the lipstick for me is still violently drying. The formula isnāt very creamy, itās thin and cheap, my revlon lipsticks are more luxurious than this. The colors are absolutely stunning but unfortunately this particular lipstick formula is extremely damaging. My lips were peeling for days. Also the packaging feels super light and cheap. It isnāt the same feel as their blush packaging. This packaging looks on point, but the moment you pick it up it just feels cheap. I love Chanel beauty products but unfortunately this particular lipstick formula did not work out for me. I love Chanel beauty products but unfortunately this particular lipstick formula did not work out for me. If you are allergic to the fresh sugar lip balms and it causes an irritation to your lips, this lipstick is very similar. Those two lip products have very similar negative effects on my poor lips. Returned. Iāll just stick with Chanelās lip glosses as those are not damaging to my lips and also have nice color selections and shine. Currently only own the noir gloss from the limited noir et blanc collection which I hear is the most similar to their former lip gloss formula.
The good is the color Subtile 211. On me it's a reddish/brown. Reminiscent of the 1990's colors I loved. No feathering and very minimal transfer. The not so good: There is nothing vibrant, intense or luminous with the lipstick. No shine or satin feeling. Feels more like a matte and somewhat drying. The lipstick did settle into my lip lines. As the description states, "melt away" and that is exactly what it does, melts away with talking, eating or doing absolutely nothing. No way was this long lasting. Maybe a little more longevity than the Chanel Bloom lipsticks. I also tried color 198 Nuance which was more of a mauve brown on me. Returning Nuance and will stick with Subtile for now.
