Clarins Flash Beauty Balm 50 ml

Beauty Flash Balm has been a Clarins 'cult product' best-seller for over 20 years. I can't see that being the case for much longer as the formula has recently changed for the worse. The pros of the new formulation: It's still versatile: I can use this not just as a moisturizer, but also as a lip balm, mask, instant radiance boost (works very minimally for this purpose) and primer. But does it function brilliantly in all those categories? Unfortunately that's no longer the case. I'd say adequate at best. The cons: it is definitely on the chemical-y side. Even with the addition of four new plant extracts, there's still a whole bunch of stuff in here that isn't 'natural'. Awful. Zero Stars!!

This new formula is awful. I am so thankful I was able to try a sample size before wasting money a large tube. It is horrible, there is no other way to describe it. You have taken a beautiful product, cheapened it and expected this would be an acceptable reformulation? This is nothing like the original and it's definitely not an improvement. This product was a classic and was perfect the way it was, there was no need to change it. Please bring back the old formula. Big Mistake… HUGE

Brought What I thought was my fave product to take on holiday as it always makes me feel so good. I’ve always loved this product. Hadn’t realised it had changed until I opened it and realised immediately that it wasn’t the same product, first thought was that it was fake.,Had to google to see if the formula had changed., Please Please bring back the old one if you can although I’m guessing it’s not a decision you wanted to make but down to sustainability of some of the old ingredients. Honestly, this new version Is awful and is NOT Beauty Flash balm. The smell is not good, I loved the old smell and the new gel consistency is horrible. Bring Back the Original Beauty Flash Balm

I have been using Beauty Flash Balm ever since it first came out – must be for about 40 years now. I was never without it. It made my skin look refreshed and bright. I often used it on its own. As I got older and needed a bit more help I would use it all over my face and apply concealer on top and a light dusting of foundation. It was fantastic. I always had a spare tube in my make-up cupboard as the thought of running out would make me panic. So, the other day I needed to open my spare tube of Beauty Flash which I bought towards the end of last year. I was aghast with what came out of the tube! Did I buy the wrong item? No, it was Beauty Flash. So, I continued to use it like I was used to with the original Beauty Flash but I was struggling. Bring back the previous Beauty Flash Balm product

When my last tube of Beauty Flash Balm was getting fairly empty I tried to order a replacement tube but couldn't. The reason for this was because Clarins decided to re-brand the product. I waited for the new one to go on sale and ordered a tube. I was not happy with the consistency, it is more like a gel and a bit sticky. It in no way compares to the previous cream which I had been using for 30 years and getting lots of comments on how nice my skin was especially for my age. Very disappointed with the new product I feel it doesn't do anything for my skin at all. I am a loyal Clarins fan and don't use any other skincare products. Pleeeease bring back the old Beauty Flash Balm. This seems to resonate throughout the reviews.

Thought it was me when I used this beauty flash balm but after reading the poor reviews, I realise it wasn’t! I’ve been using Clarins products for almost 40 years! The old formula beauty flash balm was a godsend! It worked amazingly under the old Clarins Super Restorative Tinted Cream, which Clarins also discontinued a few years ago with no comparable replacement! Even in my mature years, the original beauty flash balm worked wonders on my skin. This new beauty flash balm is useless! It makes your skin look dull and lack lustre. A total waste of money and effort. Very disappointing. PLEASE bring back the original formula

I have been using this product for years and years and was SO disappointed when I received my recent order and realized the formula had change. This was my holy grail beauty item and I have recommended it to several friends. I had lunch recently with a friend and she asked me what I was using because my face was hydrated and glowing, I told her it was the Clarins Beauty Balm, but at the time I didn't know the formula had changed or I wouldn't have recommended it to her. This new formula is NOT like the original. My face was not hydrated at all, and it didn't give the nice subtle glow that the original one did. I didn't like how my makeup applied over it and my face looked extremely dull. I am so disappointed and HOPING you bring back the original. Revamped Little Treasure

I tried this new BFB, I must say I'm impressed with the new approach in the formula. I still have the previous version of the BFB, but I notice this new one gives my skin more radiance and a relaxed look. The light reflective ingredient gives my skin instant glow, and I believe the acerola will in a long term will brighten my skin. The cooling sensation is invigorating enough. The content is slightly more watery comparing to the gel-cream texture of the previous version. However, the previous BFB was tricky in the sense that you need to apply foundation while the skin is still moist from the product otherwise once it's full dried, it can create flaking effects.
