I replaced the Maxxis tires that originally came with my Ibis Ripley. The one problem is I bought to big. The Maxxis were 2.6 and these are too, but the Kryptotal will rub the frame as it is a touch bigger. I got creative and changed the air in rear shock and it has helped. The tires are amazing though otherwise. I ride in the Phoenix desert mountains and loose gravel, stones, lots of huge granite swaths are the norm, and these tires are a champ.

So far, so good. Although, one wonders if anyone at Continental actually rides mountain bikes. Why would they offer the rear tire in 2.6", but not the front? I'm running a 2.4" in the back and it's been very good: traction, support and decent rolling resistance. Running a 2.6" rear in the front and would prefer a more open tread. Still, performance has been excellent.

That's who's on these. Both Elite DH World Champs and me. I'm on them. They're very Assegai, and a pain to mount, but they're sick. AND they're sick. They are indeed supersoft, and I've been running normal DH tire pressures with no ding dong rim damage to speak of...sometimes I feel like they're kind of square, and mayyyybe climbing out of ruts, but honestly I can't be sure of that. They ride a bit harder than maxxis, but it's fun to try something else (while saving money).Go argue with your mama, these are great.

Been a Minion DH loyalist forever. Read good reviews and this tire did not disappoint. The Trail casing handled a day of riding lifts with an afternoon spin. Very similar feel to the Minion DHF but the tread feels deeper and the traction is as good as it gets. Best in class for sure. Running this tire paired with the enduro casing Kryptotal R on the rear on an Ibis Ripmo. Only had one day on the set up, but so far so good.
This was the most difficulty I've ever had mounting a tire. I read similar reviews form others but figured I'd be alright since I got the Trail casing. No such luck. Blistered my hands for a half hour then gave up and took it to a bike shop where they eventually got it on the rim. Worth mentioning that this was without any insert in the tire. Once mounted, I immediately noticed a visual wobble in the rear wheel. Figured my wheel must have come out of true at some point. Took it back to the bike shop where they indicated the wheel was true but the tire was the problem. Jenson was great in getting me a credit for the tire, but it is back to Maxxis for me.
The price point is excellent but the trail endurance compound is just too hard. As the trails get looser heading into SoCal summer this tire had the rear of my bike wagging as I should have ordered at least a soft compound enduro casing. This trail casing pedals uphill very well and might be ok on grippier dirt, bike paths/fireroads, or conservative riding styles but I lost all confidence when this tire couldn’t hold any of the loose conditions that my pretty standard Maxxis DHR II Exo+ 3C MaxTerra could. I’ve replaced this tire after 2 rides with a Conti Argotal Enduro Soft which may be an over correction, but I want to give Continental a shot.
I have this tire in the DH casing with the supersoft compound and the grip is outstanding. I've ridden them on smooth flow, rough and rocky trails, wet roots, blown out bike park days, and the level of grip is consistent and very confidence inspiring. They're showing minimal wear after about 3 months. They are a bit heavy and slow rolling but it's a price I'm willing to pay for all of that grip!
The front and rear combo is the best. I was previously super happy with my DHR/Dissector combo, but they both wore extremely quick (especially the dissector in the rear - the cornering lugs were pretty much destroyed after a month).These Continentals roll faster, and still provide all the grip. I've been using this tire in the DH casing / Supersoft compound for the last 4 months on my enduro bike. I've ridden it in a wide variety of trail conditions from wet roots and soft dirt to summer dust and grippy rock slabs. I've been super impressed with the grip and solid feeling in all of those conditions. After a lot of riding in those 4 months the cornering knobs are starting to show some wear, but the tire still looks pretty good. In a perfect world the Supersoft compound would be available on the lighter enduro casing, but as they are now it's worth the extra weight to get the grippiest compound. Only negative is it was tough to mount, but some patience and careful use of a tire lever and it was fine.
