I bought the H100i Elite LCD Cooler to help cool my new Alderlake CPU which I also bought recently. This cooler is the only one that I could find (at the time of looking) with the included standoffs for LGA1700. The cooler is currently keeping my 12700K CPU at round about 33 degrees C at idle and even when playing games it doesnt rise much higher than that. The LCD display is really nice and you can set it to show whatever you want using Corsair ICUE software. The 2 x 120mm fans and display have really nice RGB (which obviously makes my PC run faster). Got this to replace a h100i pro xt and was dissapointed in how much hotter this is than my old one. Didnt realize the new RGB ML 120s RPMs are significantly slower than the older ones, as well the new am4 socket mount wasnt as good as a fit as the old one. Redid my thermal paste twice trying to get spread right before realizing it had to a contact issue. Lastly the Y splitter cable you plug two usb 2.0 mobo headers into will not be able to draw enough power for some mobos, it kept disconnecting. So i had to buy a nzxt usb 2 powered hub to fix that. Performance on this was so much worse than my old h100i i returned this. Maybe it was defective, maybe it was a combo of am4 mount and new fans. In the end bought a h100i elite capellix. I wish I would have done more research before purchasing this. It certainly looks sleek and the cooling is fine, but the LCD screen just has so many problems with the iCue software. For me personally, iCue will see it right after boot and then suddenly the LCD settings will vanish and the screen itself will freeze. After looking into my problem in Corsair's forums, I found a bunch of other posts from people who are having several various issues. To Corsair‘s credit, their developers are responding and actively trying to resolve these issues even now, but it’s a real shame these problems are still ongoing even after the product has been out as long as it has

Overall this is a good product, especially if on sale. My main issue with this comes from Corsair themselves. Inside the box they do not provide any sort of manual or instructions for installation. It's not terribly hard to figure out, however there is a proper orientation in order for the LCD screen to appear right side up. I installed mine "wrong" (see picture), and didn't know that I did until I was done with my build. There's also no way to flip the monitor in iCue. Aside from that, it keeps temps really cool inside the case.
I bought this Item thinking it would look great in my new system and it did. But immediately I had issues with the firmware and after researching for hours I realized the issue is with the usb splitter it comes with. DO NOT ISE THE SPLITTER. It will not allow you to do the update. It will brick the unit and you will have to remove the icue software, download it again and then power cycle the pc. Plug the usb directly into the motherboard. Even now after being able to preform the firmware update my unit randomly displays a red warning symbol…
People looking at this cooler want the display. You can spend much less and get Corsair's H100i Elite cooler without the LCD. Performance is the same between the two. You're paying a premium for the LCD display. I knew that going into this purchase and am glad I spent the extra money on this model. I'm not sure I would trust this to properly cool a stressed 12th or 13th gen Core i9, but it is fine with my Ryzen 7 5800. Idle temperatures are around 40°C and gaming temperatures go up to 64-66°C. I have the fans configured so that they're pushing air out of my case through the radiator. I'm sure I could get my CPU down cooler by pulling in fresh air from the top and expelling it out the front and back of my tower. It's fine the way I have it though. It's bright and has a wide viewing angle. I have no issues seeing it through the tinted glass of my Corsair tower and it goes well with their RGB setup. I initially had issues with iCUE seeing the LCD display and ring of LED lights around it. I could download GIF images and a lighting setup to it, for when communication with iCUE is lost, but I could not change it live. I wasn't sure what the problem was and tried moving the controller box to a different USB port on my motherboard. Same issues. Turns out the small 6-pin (?) connector that goes into the controller box needed plugged further in, it almost sits flush with the controller box. I cut two narrow strips of electrical tape to hold it in place. It's easy for me to change what's on the LCD panel in addition to the lights around it. Corsair uses two ML 120 fans with this setup, they're a step up from their LL 120 fans and offer both inner and outer LEDs for color changing. Installation was easy, though I accidentally put the fans in a push/pull configuration as shown in the two photos I've attached with the smaller graphics card. That was fixed the next day. Operating temperatures are still the same after upgrading from an RTX 3060Ti to a 4070Ti despite my case being 4-5°C warmer. I highly recommend this AiO for anyone that wants a decent cooler with a high-quality display that you can customize. It's easy to upload your own GIF to it or cycle through several options Corsair offers. Just make sure the ribbon cable is fully plugged into the controller is comes with and don't mix your fans or else you won't be able to fully control them (don't plug LL120 fans into the controller if you're plugging the ML120 fans into it).

On the plus side, the RGB module came with both RGB and fan controller ports for all six slots, sparing me any agonizing decisions about Y connectors. The device came with a USB splitter which is good since the pump AND the controller both required a USB connection. It's not pretty from a cable management perspective but at least I didn't have to disconnect my front panel USB. After it was all wired up and connected, it powered right up and worked perfectly the first time. There was a hiccup updating the firmware but it was temporary, and after I restarted again I was able to update without error, so let that be a lesson, always try twice. :) The software and fans work together perfectly, as does the pump and display. It all looks gorgeous, and I am very satisfied with my purchase.

As I write this, the CPU package temps range from 33 to 41C with liquid temps around 36C on the Silent setting. You can create your fan profile, as well. I never notice it ramp-up fan speed when playing games or benchmarking. The fan pump speed is constant and inaudible. The cabling could be better, or at least a screen orientation option in iCUE to compensate for it. I knocked a star (egg) off of the review because of this missing function. Corsair has been telling customers in forums screen rotation will be coming for over half a year. It's also absurd that the Commander unit can suffer from either lack of motherboard power or bandwidth that prevents it from showing in the iCUE devices. I purchased an internal USB hub, because I thought my problem was a lack of power, but it wasn't. The bandwidth problem is resolved by using a USB 2 to 3 adapter, but that would mean sacrificing my only front I/O ports and I just don't care anymore. This 240mm version is perfect for all of Alder Lake when not over-clocked. I would use something larger on an overclocked 12700K or 12900K for the sake of fan noise.
When the LCD upgrade kit came out I rushed to buy it. I was saddened to find out it didnt work after days of trying. Sucked I had to return it. Fast forward a year and now I finally have it and it works! Now I can put my favorite NSFW gifs! Keeps my 13700k chilled at 45-55c while gaming. I don't use all more cores so 240mm is just the right amount of cooling for me. If you are doing content creation or productivity I would advise going for the 360mm--especially the new Raptor lake Intel CPU's because they run HOT!
We bought this as a replacement for an older liquid CPU cooler. This kit was extremely easy to install. It has all of the various mounting screws you may need, zip ties to keep things neat, and electrical adaptors to meet various applications. It is very quiet. The light show can be controlled - we turned it off. The information display is handy, and real-time. Our average CPU temperature dropped about 3 degrees C.
