This is my first set of Costa lenses and I'm very impressed with the quality 'feel' of the lenses and frames. I fish primarily, with these style glasses, on streams for steelhead trout, regular trout and smallmouth bass. I needed a quality polarized Lense with readers built in and Costa is on of the only few manufacturers that provide this option. So far, these are not a disappointment in any capacity.

I loved my 1st pair of Tuna Alley's so much I bought another. I am on the water fishing every week open water and on the ice as much as I can weather permitting. The first pair of Tuna Alley's I bought have a green mirror and I cannot be on the water without them. My eyes have become accustomed to the superior visibility and protection these glasses have given me. With that being said I wanted to try a Blue Mirror because I do a lot of fishing on big open bodies of water such as Mille Lacs, Lake of the Woods and Green Bay. This past weekend Sunday, February 9th I was on Lake Superior and this was the 1st time I wore the new glasses. Lake Superior does not safely freeze over every year where you can get out and ice fish so this was something you cannot do everyday. ... MoreI loved my 1st pair of Tuna Alley's so much I bought another. It was snowing and the wind was blowing. I was so happy to have my Costa's on. They performed as expected. No fogging up, snow blindness is non existent and the Tuna Alley's allow my eyes to read the terrain with pinpoint definition. On the way in that afternoon my girlfriend was complaining that she couldn't see and i quickly realized how fortunate i was to have on Costa's. Looks like my next pair of Costa's purchased my have to be for her. Thank you for making a quality product. It gives me the competitive edge out on the Tournament Trail as well as a day on the ice!

My original Tuna Alley pair 5 years ago had the rubber nosepiece which fell off after 2 years in the Florida sun. Costa sent a new pair for the $100 warranty fee (saying the glass was scratched, but it actually only had one small ding on one lens after protecting my eye from a dirt speck on the golf course). I was OK with that, and they had changed the design to a smaller rubber nosepiece supposedly fixed into place better. But 2 weeks ago, half of that nosepiece came apart and fell off in spite of tender loving care. So back to the factory they went and I am awaiting repair or replacement. OTHER THAN THAT, these are awesome sunglasses with terrific glass optics, style, fit, and comfort. Just wish Costa (for the price) would get away from the failing nosepiece design.

These are great sunglasses/readers. Great help for reducing eye strain in the outside bright sun. Since I now need readers these are wonderful when driving. The sunglasses lens helps reduce strain on eyes from the sun. While the readers let me see everything clearly w/out having to put readers over other sunglasses. So far so good, the quality is good, and they look nice. Glad I found them. Would recommend Try if need both like I do.Thanks for your time!
Fashion over function with these overpriced shades. Got a pair, new from Costa, for kayaking. Had less than a year, used only on weekends while kayaking. Bought glass lenses so I wouldn't have to worry about scratching them. Guess what? They scratch as easy as their plastic competitors. Ok- I'll get a replacement lens, right? Contacted Luxia, was quoted.... $123 for ONE lens. For that, I can buy almost 10 pairs of pretty good Sea Striker polarized shades. This is, however, my fault for not checking on the replacement/warranty costs, because had I, I wouldn't have purchased these over-priced 'trendy' shades. They're made for people w/ 'Salt Life' stickers on their Z71s that live inland. *Not for real sport or work use.
I tried on five different pair of sunglasses in the store. I bought these Costa Tuna Valley Sunglasses for driving and various outdoor activities. I like the styling, the fit and the polarized lenses. I like sunglasses to be on the snug side so they don't easily fall off and these fit the bill perfectly.
First, there is absolutely no reason any sunglasses should cost this much. Having said that: The frames are attractive and sturdy, but no more so than the high-end safety glasses I wear on the job every day. What makes these glasses good, besides the "status symbol" effect, is the glass. The lenses are almost miraculous. I recommend the green mirror over the blue by a large margin. They both filter the same amount of light, but the blue lenses are for off-shore use, primarily. Ashore for every day use, or for fishing in inland or coastal waters, the green lenses are much better. And the lenses are amazing. So, if you're buying for style or status, there are much cheaper (and more disposable) ways to go. If you really care about clarity of vision, I've never seen any ... MoreFirst, there is absolutely no reason any sunglasses should cost this much. (Hint: Make sure to try on several different styles to make sure you have the fit you want.)
Ordered the Costa Tuna Alleys for $90 less than anywhere else. This is my second pair and EzContacts delivered exactly what I ordered. Real happy with the 580g lenses, much clearer than plastic. Cracked a lens on my last pair, my fault, not Costa. Glass breaks, go figure, but I got 5 years out of them. EzContacts will be getting more of my business in the future.
I originally ordered the wrong glasses (completely my fault). It took no effort at all to correct my mistakes and get the glasses I intended to order. That in itself was a HUGE +. I love this company, they treat people so well. As for the glasses themselves, they are by far the best glasses I’ve owned. I fly fish in Northern California where you can spend a considerable amount of time in and out of tree cover in 80 degree weather. I’ve always been partial to brown lenses for the versatility but In shadowy areas, they hang on my neck. Not these. Perfect for an overcast day or days spent under tree cover but equally as good at sunny days on the beach. I’ve used them to fly fish for stripped bass and they worked great. These are incredible. I’ll never go back.
Purchased the TA580G and had very good luck with them outdoors and while fishing. They really help beat the bright sun while working out in it most days.My first pair were the blue mirror followed by a pair of the green mirror. Have to say while the lenses and fit of the frames are perfect, Costa needs to find a better method of gluing the rubber nose pieces or change the design. Ive had the nose pieces and rubber at the bottom of the frame come loose and finalky fall off on 2 pairs of blue mirrors and 1 pair of the green mirror. The rubber at the bottom of the frame, on my newest pair of blue mirror are starting to become detached from the frames eventhough they have not been worn much at all.
