I loved my 1st pair of Tuna Alley's so much I bought another. I am on the water fishing every week open water and on the ice as much as I can weather permitting. The first pair of Tuna Alley's I bought have a green mirror and I cannot be on the water without them. My eyes have become accustomed to the superior visibility and protection these glasses have given me. With that being said I wanted to try a Blue Mirror because I do a lot of fishing on big open bodies of water such as Mille Lacs, Lake of the Woods and Green Bay. This past weekend Sunday, February 9th I was on Lake Superior and this was the 1st time I wore the new glasses. Lake Superior does not safely freeze over every year where you can get out and ice fish so this was something you cannot do everyday. ... It was snowing and the wind was blowing. I was so happy to have my Costa's on. They performed as expected. No fogging up, snow blindness is non existent and the Tuna Alley's allow my eyes to read the terrain with pinpoint definition. On the way in that afternoon my girlfriend was complaining that she couldn't see and i quickly realized how fortunate i was to have on Costa's. Looks like my next pair of Costa's purchased my have to be for her. Thank you for making a quality product. It gives me the competitive edge out on the Tournament Trail as well as a day on the ice!

My original Tuna Alley pair 5 years ago had the rubber nosepiece which fell off after 2 years in the Florida sun. Costa sent a new pair for the $100 warranty fee (saying the glass was scratched, but it actually only had one small ding on one lens after protecting my eye from a dirt speck on the golf course). I was OK with that, and they had changed the design to a smaller rubber nosepiece supposedly fixed into place better. But 2 weeks ago, half of that nosepiece came apart and fell off in spite of tender loving care. So back to the factory they went and I am awaiting repair or replacement. OTHER THAN THAT, these are awesome sunglasses with terrific glass optics, style, fit, and comfort. Just wish Costa (for the price) would get away from the failing nosepiece design.

I can’t say enough about these sunglasses. I used to be a big time Oakley wearer, but since trying on my first pair of Costa del Mar glasses, I have bought three pair. These Tuna Alley are light and give great coverage. The lenses are so clear I often forget I am wearing them when I go indoors. I highly suggest finding a pair of Costa, especially the Tuna Alley, to purchase. You won’t be upset.

Fashion over function with these overpriced shades. Got a pair, new from Costa, for kayaking. Had less than a year, used only on weekends while kayaking. Bought glass lenses so I wouldn't have to worry about scratching them. Guess what? They scratch as easy as their plastic competitors. Ok- I'll get a replacement lens, right? Contacted Luxia, was quoted.... $123 for ONE lens. For that, I can buy almost 10 pairs of pretty good Sea Striker polarized shades. This is, however, my fault for not checking on the replacement/warranty costs, because had I, I wouldn't have purchased these over-priced 'trendy' shades. They're made for people w/ 'Salt Life' stickers on their Z71s that live inland. *Not for real sport or work use.
These are good glasses for what I need. I have started to get the reader version as I get older but I really like the reader for tying knots and checking the GPS while underway. Still good vision for sighting fish in the flats but I wish they had the readers with the same brown lens but a green mirror surface finish like I had when I didn't need readers. Costa was also really good with the warranty with this pair-they used a rubber nose insert with the original pair that failed, and they happily sent me a new pair that has an updated nose styling so I was impressed with their customer service. Really like Costa's quality for the price.
Just ordered my 2nd pair. Nosepiece finally gave our on my first after years of hard use. Originally bought for fishing - clarity/detail in water is excellent. I don’t need my prescription glasses to tie knots.I use them for golf, too. The line doesn’t interfere at all with the ball at address. And I don’t ride my Harley without them. I can read the dashboard gauges and detail in the mirrors (when stopped)
First, there is absolutely no reason any sunglasses should cost this much. Having said that: The frames are attractive and sturdy, but no more so than the high-end safety glasses I wear on the job every day. What makes these glasses good, besides the "status symbol" effect, is the glass. The lenses are almost miraculous. I recommend the green mirror over the blue by a large margin. They both filter the same amount of light, but the blue lenses are for off-shore use, primarily. Ashore for every day use, or for fishing in inland or coastal waters, the green lenses are much better. And the lenses are amazing. So, if you're buying for style or status, there are much cheaper (and more disposable) ways to go. If you really care about clarity of vision, I've never seen any ... These are free replacements for my Wave Killers I bought about 15 years ago. Over that time I would send them in for new lens and temples. The were finally discontinued and Costed stepped up with a new pair for me. They are great around the water. As someone who has spent all his time on the water I can not stress enough the importance to have good eye protection. Costa has this and my only regret was that I did not start wearing them sooned. If you have kids or teens parents should buy them a pair and start them early on taking care of an nice pair of glasses. It will reduce the need for cataract treatment in the future due to sun damage.
Really pleased with these glasses. The amber lens was exactly what I need for lower light river/creek fishing. The “readers” are far enough down not to be a distraction when looking forward but convenient enough when looking down to tie on a hook. Use these as everyday sunglasses and they fit very well. Highly recommend.
Purchased the TA580G and had very good luck with them outdoors and while fishing. They really help beat the bright sun while working out in it most days.My first pair were the blue mirror followed by a pair of the green mirror. Have to say while the lenses and fit of the frames are perfect, Costa needs to find a better method of gluing the rubber nose pieces or change the design.
