I picked up this excellent device because our new house used to have a wood shop in the basement. Try as we might, sweeping and mopping diligently, there's still a good bit of dust floating around. This purifier is super quiet, the smart mode is wonderful (I love effective devices I can set and forget) and it's already helped my allergies immensely! It has also caused my wife to forget it's working (because her asthma hasn't acted up since we got it).

(1) Although the device always shows "Good", the fan never turns off. That operation is inconsistent with Coway instructions and appears to be a defect.(2) I am unable to access your website because your cookies are mandatory, so I am unable to communicate with Coway except through this review.(3) Your terms and conditions are inappropriate for simply accepting feedback from a customer, leaving me frustrated with the device and with Coway.(4) For those reasons I would never recommend a Coway device.

Foolishly, I thought my tiny studio apartment was 1000 square feet because I cannot do math. However, the air in my apartment has never been fresher. I bought the airmega because I live in an old building on the east coast and everything here just molds so quickly! Now, my compost bucket doesn’t even mold. Amazing.

This is a well thought out appliance with an excellent build quality. The filter seems to be better than some of the other air purifiers I have owned and uses granular carbon instead of a carbon sponge. There is also a gasket around the filter that forms a tight fit. It uses a DC brushless motor, so it's more energy efficient and it should last a very long time.
This is a great product and it looks a "Retro" TV the handles on the sides if you still have a CRT TV and compare it. I called this my "TV Air Purifier". It is VERY quiet and since I live in NYC these few days there was smoke particles that came from the West Coast it is VERY useful and the LED changes to RED meaning it is VERY unhealthy. The Eco mode is very useful because when the air is clean it stop and will use energy even through the lights are still power on but the motor stops for like 10-30 minutes it depends on how the air quality is.
I now own several units of Airmega 250. Great purifiers so far, nice HEPA with pellet-based carbon filter. Airflow seems stronger than my Dyson formaldehyde purifiers.The particle sensor doesn't seem very accurate, though. Even with excellent air quality, it'd arbitrarily change color from blue -> green once in a while and kick the fan into 2nd gear. I set the sensor to "more sensitive" mode, which according to Coway customer support means that "blue" corresponds to PM2.5 being in the range of 0-10 ug/m3 while PM10 within 0-42 ug/m3. But Airmega would still turn green and back while the PM levels are nowhere near the threshold, for example, even when all my other sensors as well as data from IQAir report that PM2.5 < 5 ug/m3, PM10 < 10 ug/m3. We have 2 dogs & bought one air filter for our family room. It is amazingly good at cleaning the whole room. It even keeps the air in our kitchen two rooms away perfectly clean. We recently bought a second Airmega for the living room on the other side of the house. I highly recommend the Airmega-- it's well worth the reasonable price.
Amazing. I have asthma and I noticed a difference in air quality within 12 hours. Couple this with beautiful design and ease of use and you have a perfect machine. Quiet too!
High quality so far! Setup was easy and well explained. It's very classy looking. It fits into our 1977 MCM home perfectly, and most people ask if it is a speaker. Seems to operate very well and responds to contaminants like cooking smoke immediately. Takes care of odors in our home well.
i have the 250 in my bedroom and the 400 on my main floor below. with allergy season in full swing and the streets + cars yellow with pollen, i come indoors to crisp, clean air and barely a sneeze. plus - they actually look ok in my house vs. looking like hospital equipment.i sleep sooo much better and no longer wake up with a congested nostril or gunk around my eyelids. they even get rid of the smell of recently cooked food in a matter of hours vs. almost a week. my house smells like i had the windows and doors open on a clear fall day. super easy to set up, clean, and maintain. can’t recommend coway air purifiers enough.
