This is my second vice from this brand, 1st one snapped while trying to tighten a bicycle wheel in place. Second time snapped explosively while un-tightening a pipe from a joint. Please do not buy.

Same as other reviews, mine snapped in half after applying barely any force. Don't waste your money, spend a bit more. These vices should not be sold and should be removed from the shelves.
I bought this unit to replace one that I bought many years ago. I think the changes they have made are fantastic. Better angles make it easy to work on different projects and the ability to quickly swivel has saved a lot of time.
This is a great addition to my garage workshop. It has a changeable angles and looks solid enough for my occasional use.
My broke under a light to medium clamping pressure exactly per the other photos shown. The steel basically crumbled. Would not buy again.
The cast-iron is not good enough for normal DIY projects. No excessive force applied and it snapped.
Had it about 1 year. Snapped. 2nd one I have had that has snapped. For $35.00 cannot expect much more. Going to buy another one as I live in a town house and only use it a couple times a month for small jobs. Only just recommend the product.
Mine broke after a few months of fairly low use - snapped clean through while tightening! It worked really well until then though, and may be fine for light use.
