DJI Mini 2 Drone Fly More Combo

Fantastic little drone.I would recomend this drone for anyone.The camera takes good clear photos and video up to 4k with 2x zoom and 4x zoom in 1080p.As a phantom 3 owner i was looking for something smaller and easier to take with me.The mini 2 is easy to fly and land. Most reviews i have read mention its light weight making it less able to handle strong wind so yesterday i put it to the test and found that it held its position almost perfect and video was rock solid where my P3 was getting blown about.When you buy get the fly more combo you get the bag to carry everything around in, propeller strap and extra batteries plus a few other spares. You will find yourself wanting the extra batteries for sure.With a claimed 31 minute flying time in the real world you get about 25 minutes which is very good. To get the 31 minutes you need ideal flying conditions and take the battery down to 0% (which you should never do with LiPo batteries or risk damaging them). I normally land with about 15% or more battery power left after my 25 minutes.One thing you should do is download the DJIfly app and make sure it works on your phone you do need a decent phone. If it downloads and you can open it you should be good to go.Overall well worth the money and stands up well against bigger more expensive drones and in some situations better.

Best Entry Level Drone

I thoroughly researched the best drones for entry-level pilots and landed on the Mini 2 for it's many advanced features and its high quality camera. After two weeks of nearly daily flying while learning the "ropes", I can honestly say I feel like I made the right choice. Best drone for recreation

You may be debating if you should get this Mini 2, Mini 3 Pro, or upcoming mini 3. If the purchase is for recreational use, definitely get this mini 2 fly more combo. The extra 2 batteries, charger, and the carrying bag is worth it. Mini 3 Pro is almost double the price so not worth it unless you absolutely have to have bigger lens sensor, obstacle avoidance, and/or vertical recording. Upcoming mini 3 is more real successor to mini 2 but still think it will lose from bang for buck perspective. Mini 2 is very stable, easy to fly, cost much less, and lot of good tutorials published. Perfect for beginners and recreational user like myself. Highly recommend.

Entry-level yup, but sooooo much more!

As an absolute beginner in the drone-sphere, I could not be happier with the DJI Mini 2. The set-up can be a little lengthy and you've got to be sure you do have the correct DJI Fly app to get things going (there's heaps on the Play Store, so beware!). However, once you've charged the batteries and got it paired, it's pretty easy to get flying - the tutorials are idiot-proof! The camera quality is exceptional and there are heaps of things that I know it can do, but I just haven't got round to yet. I was a bit wary of letting it out of my sight, but after a few flights, you get to trust it and yourself...AND the technology! I am also very impressed with it's ability to counter the wind. Excellent except for one fatal flaw

Wanted something to provide a new perspective to my videos, and a drone was exactly it. Took time to watch videos, learn the device, rules and regulations. Went to open fields to test and make sure I was 'capable'. Got some cool footage over my lake community with sailboats, etc. Drone ended up touching a tree branch - fell and crashed - 2 weeks after purchased - now it's garbage. Yes, it's my fault. However, obstacle avoidance is a requirement in my opinion now that I've used a drone. Even 1/2 mile away, you can't see it, and guess if you're high enough, far away enough from other things. Camera and stabilization are excellent, and I really like this drone, but would not buy another one without that feature.

The mini 2 camera is still amazing, its just that compared to the higher quality drones you can tell a difference since its video quality is a bit noisier and the color profile is harder to work with. Lets take the Mavic Air 2 for example, its half the price of the Mavic Pro 2 yet some people even prefer the 4K shooting quality of the Air 2 over the Pro 2 and it has some real competition. However; the Mini 2 is less than half the weight of the Air 2, making it the best travelers drone due to how compact it is. Easily fitting into tight spaces like your jacket pocket, and not needing to be registered since its under the 250g weight limit, it is the most convenient portable drone that you can probably get which gives you a lot more freedom if your out shooting. Its up to you to decide which to choose. However, if your just looking at the budget 2 because its right at the maximum of your budget, and you know youll photograph and travel often, it will be a solid investment. I do recommend getting the fly more combo though, well worth the money.

Great quality images!

The mini 2 has been working like a champion since we picked it up. Weve flown it a bit close to a few trees (who knew that the propellers were tough enough to chop small branches of a tree!) and hit the house once. Oops. It still kept going. Okay - we did replace the propellers after hitting the house, but it landed safely despite the damage to one propeller. The video and photo quality is superb. My son is the one flying it most of the time, and the footage he is getting looks like it comes from a professional. It warns you if youre in an area that is potentially illegal to fly in (for example proximity to airports) - that can be annoying occasionally, as you can be some distance from the closest airport but if youre in an unfamiliar area it is a real bonus. My only real gripe is that one battery only lasts half an hour. This kit did come with three batteries, which was nice, but the battery charger only charged one battery at a time - despite holding all three. Massive Step up from Previous DJI series

I started off years ago with the Phantom 3 advanced. The price was right at 1K here on ebay, with one battery. This kit includes 3 batteries giving an overall flight time of about an hour and a half. It has the same top speed as the Phantom 3 A. Weighing in 2.5 pounds less it requires no registration. The video is excellent in 4k resolution which you can crop or downscale anytime you want. The same for the color rendition. With the exception of speed this uav even out performs the Phantom 4 series except the pro. The ability to charge the batteries through a usb c connection, the same as on most current phones, is definitely a plus. You can charge on the go in your car easily. So glad I picked this as my first real drone!

I debated buying this MINI 2 Fly More combo because I wasn't sure if I'd use it very much. I fly it almost every day! The certified refurbished combo arrived fast and in perfect, as-new condition. All three batteries take full charge as does the remote. I had considered something in the $200 range but after looking at several and reading reviews, decided to go with this DJI product. At first, I didn't trust myself or the drone but in a very short time, I became comfortable flying it. I live on a lake and fly it over the water almost every flight. It takes fantastic pictures and videos. Flight time is as rated, stability in wind is excellent, and every function is easy to learn and use. If you're on the fence, I say go for it! I'm 100% glad that I did!

The DJI Mavic Mini 2 is perfect. Great camera quality, good range and responsiveness is on point. ALTHOUGH. I have had lots of issues with the chargers supplied with the drone. The one that connects to my phone from the controller stopped working all together after 2 days. I solved this with the standard USB-C to lightning charger which is much longer and actually works lol The charging brick supplied is also on and off turning around the connection usually works but sometimes it decides not to work Obviously this is also solved easily by using a regular charging brick from anywhere really The issue with the phone chord connection was that i lost all video transmission from my drone as i was doing a pretty tight shot through a forest so I completely lost picture and ... MoreThe DJI Mavic Mini 2 is perfect.
