HASBRO Dungeons and Dragons: Bedlam in Neverwinter is a board game. I like the chang of pace on this from old fashioned board games. I waited for my 12 year old grandson to open it. He was super excited to play. There is a lot going on in this game. 12 yr old knew a lot about it, that I didn't. I wouldn't have gotten far if it wasn't for grandson. Game is fun, fast moving and entertaining. 100% enjoyed it.

This game excited me from the moment I saw it. I'm a fan of the Dungeons & Dragons line going back to the original red box, and to the original Hardcover Advanced D&D books. As a board game fan and card game fan, this branding seemed like a sure fire hit. Add to that, this is a genre of game I have yet to explore, the mystery room board game. Needless to say, I was excited to take the dive.As this is my first dive into the genre of mystery room board games, my review is focused on the more familiar elements to me, the theme of D&D. I can't compare this to other mystery room games, having not played any.Thematically, this game feels like Dungeons and Dragons. It fits the bill. To start the game you have basic character creation that involves using cards to pick a character class and a race. Just like in an RPG you start at Level 1. Gameplay involves exploring and searching for clues, the answer to all puzzles will always be a number. In the end of each act(of which there are three), you as a team attempt to solve the mystery then look in the sealed envelope to see if you are right. And of course, there is combat with monsters as should be expected of a Dungeons and Dragons adventure.Things that I like about this game are first off the theme. I like the D&D feel, without being a stereotypical dungeon crawl or RPG. It was nice to pull out of the expected stories and try a mystery. I liked the mystery room concept, but I did not like the concept so much to want to explore another unless it was a compelling story environment that meets my interest(i.e. I would play another D&D themed one, but a generic one would not interest me). I liked that it used familiar D&D concepts such as character creation and combat. Lastly, the game components themselves were well made, and the figures were very nice. What I did not like is that it's got limited replayability. It is one story told in three acts. You carry your character over to each act, with each act being a seperate gaming session. You level up between acts. Each act should take you around 90 minutes to complete, so this is a nice long adventure. However, once you have explored the game and know the answers to the mystery, you really can't play it all over again, because you know the answers. It would be more enjoyable if you could re-explore with new characters. What you CAN do, is "reset" the game, back to its starting state(the cards go back in a certain order, as do the game boards.... all are numbered to accommodate this), and you can then pass the game on to a friend for them to play next.Overall, if you are a fan of fantasy or mystery games, you should enjoy this.

Great game for D&D players
2 May 2023

This game is something we are already familiar with since we are already player of D&D. We played this game with four people to try it out and we all enjoyed the game. There are lots of secrets to uncover and working together can help you find new locations and hidden gems in the game. I think this actually a great beginner's game to learning how to play D&D because its more guiding in what to do and how to play the game. The puzzles are interesting and fun to solve as you go. You learn about the skills and different race of characters. It's like experiencing a whole new world in a board game. We have enjoyed the story of the game and will continue to play it with our beginner friends until they become more comfortable with the game.

My son and his friends are hooked with this game. Hasbro Gaming - Dungeons & Dragons: Bedlam in Neverwinter has brought my sons and his friends together weekly. I am so very happy they got off of online playing and console playing and are playing and interacting face to face like the old golden days. I will be getting some Hasbro Gaming - Dungeons & Dragons: Bedlam in Neverwinter for my son's friends - for their birthdays so my house is not the only one with the game Lol!!

Monopoly? Nahhhh
13 April 2023

This game surprised me. I’ve played escape room type games before, but this one is a little different, and the D&D theme works really well here. Each player plays a different fantasy character with a different set of skills. The players choose a character card, then they also choose a profession card and combine the 2 cards to create their character. It’s best to pick combinations that make your adventuring party most well rounded.

Not fun, waste of time.
3 May 2023

The idea was there, but not a very fun game. Make sure you unwrap all the characters and cards before using. I was so confused thinking that I was missing pieces. Some of the cards would have been better separated into specific decks or even envelopes. As adult players, we became quickly bored with it, barely getting into the second board of the first quest. If played fully through, I don't think we would ever play it again. Plays like a choose your own adventure not traditional DND. Not for the DND fanatic. The die and characters were well made as expected but the boards very small.

So Much Fun!
20 April 2023

My husband and I are huge DnD fans. We both have been playing for over 20 years. We were so excited to try out this DnD game! What fun it was! We see familiar monsters, taverns, and puzzles. We played with our two young teens and it was a great introduction to DnD for them. They caught on quickly and really enjoyed it. If you like fantasy and you have been curious about DnD, this is the game for you. Or, if you are already a DnD lover, this game is a no Brainer. Hours of fun!!

This game was awesome! It was super fun to play and had very clear instructions. It is very unique and not like anything I have played before. It was quite intriguing and really made us have to think. This is definitely perfect for family night or just as a present for any occasion. Overall I loved this product and would definitely recommend.
