I just want to look hydrated and healthy, but still subtle enough not to be able to attribute it to a highlighter. First off, this lightest shade is still a bit darker than CT’s or Auric’s. But I’m not so pale that I can’t make it work. The real issue lies in that this is so subtle it’s almost not there. I love a subtle highlight, but this is basically nothing. I love a subtle highlight! But I don’t want to apply something and get nothing out of it. And I don’t use primers, so this can’t serve that purpose for me. Auric is still the winner overall.

Just to note, my skin is very dry, with eczema and mild rosacea so I only use hydrating products. Eventually I caved because of all the hype and bought the Halo filter and I can say with 100% honesty that I do not regret it! I absolutely love this product! It gives such a beautiful glow on your skin (as long as you don't put too much product on as that doesn't come out too good) and it sits really nice on the skin as well. It works very well with foundation but I also use it alone some days and it looks great. I don't feel crazy hydration from it but it's still there so I'd say that's probably a plus because then it doesn't feel greasy and it sinks into the skin pretty fast. It hasn't made my skin break out, which is always such a relief, and it doesn't seem to affect my skin issues in a negative way. I would say that this is a perfect dupe for the Charlotte Tilbury glow filter and I would rather buy this one then the other because the price is so much better for essentially the same product, and in some ways the Halo filter is even better. The only reason it's not getting 5 stars is because I am not a fan of the application of it. The huge doe foot applicator can be a little annoying, I have to put it in a couple of times if not more to get the right amount of product and I am never a fan of having the applicator touch the skin over and over and then being put back into the bottle where bacteria starts to grow. I always appreciate a more hygienic application of my makeup and skincare products. But for the money you are getting a great product that is well worth it. I hope it doesn't stay out of stock for too long because I'll definitely repurchase when I finish mine!Great job Elf!

It's true. Up until this point nothing compared to CT for me, and I tried a few dupes as well as making up my own concoction when it became increasingly difficult to get the CT in my shade because of how popular it is. While the Halo Glow does have better overall coverage and the exact same dewy/glowiness as CT, I didn't find the coverage as buildable as it seemed to be on Youtube/TikTok comparison reviews, but the highlight definitely does build. It sheers out and oxidizes a bit once you blend it in, so it looks lighter in the bottle (and initially on the skin) than it does once blended, so something to keep in mind. Was definitely worth the 1 month wait for delivery, especially for the price point, and I can definitely say this is my new favorite! Goodbye, CT!

Didn’t get to use it they changed ingredients

I have acne prone skin. I was really excited to use this because I couldn’t use the CT one due pore cloggers. I am OCD about checking ingredients and checked the ingredients multiple time before placing an order as I had time because they were sold out of their first round. I placed my order for 2 shades just incase. It was taking long to ship and I kept checking the app on my order status, something told me to check the reviews again as more people were using it. I noticed people complaining that they broke out and others saying it had Bismuth (a pore clogger). I rechecked the ingredients and sure enough it had bismuth in it as the last ingredient! Minutes after my email I get a email confirming that my order has shipped, but sadly I knew I was not going to be able to use this product now. I called ELF the next day and they told me that it was a new product and there was no way the ingredients had changed and they couldn’t cancel my order because it shipped, I told her I checked this multiple times but I never took a screenshot and had no proof. I happened to stroll on TikTok and saw someone posting the ingredients as they were comparing it to CT and sure enough I was not crazy! ELF why change the ingredients so fast? They did refund my money for both so thank you for that! Hoping they will remove the bismuth and be more cautious about pore clogging ingredients for us acne prone people.

It took me FOREVER, literally months and months to get my hands on this product. No store in my area had it in stock (and they still don't about six months later and into the new year of 2023). So I didn't have a choice, but to order it online. However, I recommend that you don't order it online from the elf site like I had to, because I got a shade that is much too dark for my skin. The swatches online are very deceiving as in it doesn't look like it does in person. So sadly, I'll have to wait probably half a year so stores in my area can properly keep this product in stock so I can FINALLY get my hands on this product and in the correct shade which honestly is very frustrating trying to get ahold of this product for so long! The only two cons i have for this product, is the fact that it's hard to get anywhere. Ordering in stores is better than ordering online because then you can see the actual shade range in real life. The second con is that the product runs very dark. Other than that, it's an amazing product, especially if you're a fan of that beautiful dewy look to your skin with a subtle glow. I would rather buy this than the Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood flawless filter which we all know by now that elfs is a dupe for because the price is much better than CT. This product can be worn many different ways, but I prefer to wear it under makeup. To me, it works best that way. I was actually very surprised by the sheer to medium coverage that this product gave. The hype is real! It truly is a great product and I highly recommend it to anyone, especially to dewy, glowy skin lovers!!

Not a dupe for Hollywood Flawless Filter, but nice.

This is a nice light to medium foundation with a giant doe-foot applicator. The price is phenomenal compared to other glowy/dewier foundations on the market (very much like the Nars). It is a slightly thinner creamy texture and feels light and very nice on the skin. It can be worn with or without powder. After it dries down, it leaves a smooth velvety finish on my dry skin. After a 10 hour wear, it didn’t settle into fine lines and works great with the hydrating camo concealer also by ELF. It is NOT a gel highlighter hybrid with a pearly shift (like the Hollywood Flawless Filter) that I’ve seen it compared to online. It is quite fragranced, but he mister is fantastic and the spray holds this make up on very nicely. It is much cheaper than the “other” All Nighter.

I was hesitant to try this product because I'm going to be 48 soon and usually products like this will settle into fine lines or make me look like I'm a disco ball. I'm honestly shocked at how much I love this product! I apply it with my fingers and then I buff it out with my beauty blender. The key factor for me is to build it up rather than putting a thick layer on. It layers wonderfully with my foundation. I don't experience any pilling and because I have a matte foundation, it really gives me that blow that I need at my age. It's now been my go-to for over a month. I'm happy to say that this does not happen with this product and that's rare for me. I already bought another bottle because the fair shade sells out very quickly. I swear I will literally cry if they discontinue this product! I do Alt and pin-up modeling and this has been a godsend.

No glitter thank goodness, just plain fresh clean & healthy skin glow appearance which is great However… for myself, a late 40s woman w/ fair, freckled skin & a pretty good amount of unfortunate rosacea AND that doesn’t like to wear much makeup this wasn’t what I was hoping for. Granted I’ve only used it over my Laura Mercier tinted moisturizer which has no coverage & for leaving the house I prefer, to me I would call this a mirage. I imagine adding it to foundation may give you a slightly less but still a glow appearance. I feel like a woman with clean beautiful healthy skin would love this but what would you need it for because generally your skin already has that ... MoreGave this middle of the row rating & let me tell you why. I should have probably tried it with my foundation for this review but I felt I should leave it as be since this is how I wanted to use it- over my tinted moisturizers. It does have that natural healthy skin glow look but I must say shortly after I applied it I feel it diminished a bit. Maybe my skin soaked it up but again I say it’s a mirage

Very Impressed, Needs Bigger Shade Range

I have the lightest shade and this is a wonderful, multi-use product and a fantastic dupe for another filtering product we all know of. The packaging feels substantial, and the bottle is made of glass with a very large applicator which is perfect for using on the face. You can use this in so many ways: primer, mixed with sunscreen/foundation, liquid highlight, on its own, etc. There are absolutely no glitter or metallic pieces in it. It's just a straight on dewy cream with light coverage that offers a beautiful glow and doesn't stick in odd places or cling to dry areas. It evens out your skin tone and wears well throughout the day- I have combination skin and my t-zone doesn't get too oily. This product makes you look radiant, for lack of a better word.My only con ... MoreI have the lightest shade and this is a wonderful, multi-use product and a fantastic dupe for another filtering product we all know of. The lightest shade looks like orange paint on my skin, and is probably 8-9 shades too dark, even during the summer. I've been mixing this with my sunscreen to lighten it and that has worked perfectly, but I'd love to see some more options here. Maybe 2 more light and dark shades respectively.Really though, elf knocked this out of the park!
