I've been interested in trying this since it came out, and ended up picking one up during a great sale. I was so torn between 0 fair and 2 light/medium, both with warmer undertones. There were more reviews and helpful data on the original 2 light, but I'm so glad I went with 0 Fair. Just for reference, I use the Elf Camo CC cream in 140W Fair for some light coverage, and it can read a touch too light on my skin, which I fix by mixing or using bronzer etc. Yet concealer/foundation in a light vanilla can be too dark or only work when i'm tan in summer. Whereas the Elf Camo Powder Foundation in 140W matches great, sheesh. So, I decided to lean lighter since I'd likely use this as a highlighter if it was too glowy, thus I chose 0 fair. Whereas the Elf Camo Powder Foundation in 140W matches great, sheesh. So, I decided to lean lighter since I'd likely use this as a highlighter if it was too glowy, thus I chose 0 fair. It's great though, not too light, a great match enhanced by it's sheer coverage. I love the 'glow' which for me in these lower light winter days looks like a subtle ethereal silvery-gold micro dust or something. Its quite pretty on the highpoints of face, but looks lovely all over as well. I thought it would be too shimmery or something, and some reviews said it's a lot, but in my environment, it's definitely not, Yet it gives me a little lift because I feel slightly photo shopped, haha. In addition, I use this as part of the base or concealer layer, and so other products on top continue to make the glow more modest. Depending on how I handle this in my makeup routine, it can crease as many products do on my combo/acne/sensitive/rosacea skin, but with tricks like skincare, then korean spf, then green centella primer, then powder, then setting spray, then concealer or foundation or halo glow on top of that nicely prepped skin, it wont. Something i've learned- give products a fair shake by experimenting and researching new ideas that are so readily available these days with youtube etc. I've learned a lot that really made a big difference, and turned makeup that I was ready to toss into something I quite like. I didn't need to try that hard with this; however. Halo glow for the win! Oh yeah and the bottle and feel of the product feels deluxe for a budget item, oh yeah.

Today I sat down to do a full face of products purchased by myself, so that I could review them. All of which have come highly recommend to me over time! The elf halo glow liquid filter glow booster is available in 8 shades and contains squalene and hydraulic acid. For notes: I am often a light skin tone with neutral undertones, my skin is normal for the most part but I do occasionally have some dryness. Another thing to note is that I do experience redness around my nose. I utilized shade 02- fair/ light. The liquid filter glow booster can be utilized in a number of ways. It can be worn on its own, under your foundation, mixed into foundation, or over your foundation as a natural looking highlight. The liquid filter is very hydrating but not oily, it isn’t drying and does not become cakey, flakey, or peeling. The shimmer is natural, not like pieces of glitter, and mixes very well with any foundation without breaking the foundation’s formula up (this is the method of application I chose). Another thing I appreciated is that it did not affect my foundations ability to sit on my primer, I noticed that other brands have caused a reaction between my foundation and primer, causing them to separate and this did not occur for me with the glow filter. Another bit of information I can offer is that my skin is sensitive and I did not experience any reaction to this product. I highly recommend you try this; I have been so impressed with elf!

I want to love this. It is effortlessly sheer and glowy, lightweight, blendable and quick to apply. It does blur imperfections and, in an effort not to be wasteful I am going to finish the bottle. But no amount of sheerness can turn a "fair" shade that is this dark and this orange into the versatile, universal pale tone it says it is. On one hand, this was at one point a pretty common drugstore problem, but with the advent of most drugstore brands, elf included, introducing expansive foundation shade ranges that reach into the far ends of both poles of the spectrum, this shouldn't be happening anymore with other complexion products. It's the kind of orange that makes one question whether the folks who developed this shade have ever met a legitimately pale person ... MoreI want to love this. It's the kind of orange that makes one question whether the folks who developed this shade have ever met a legitimately pale person before. It's a great product for lots of folks- there's no denying it makes my skin look lovely, if you deliberately ignore that my face and my neck are now two different colors- but if "0" is this dark, I have little hope that they'll expand the range out to compensate. Maybe I'll hold out for the introduction of "-1 Fair Neutral", or maybe I'll just pony up the extra cash and try my luck with Charlotte Tilbury.

It took me FOREVER, literally months and months to get my hands on this product. No store in my area had it in stock (and they still don't about six months later and into the new year of 2023). So I didn't have a choice, but to order it online. However, I recommend that you don't order it online from the elf site like I had to, because I got a shade that is much too dark for my skin. The swatches online are very deceiving as in it doesn't look like it does in person. So sadly, I'll have to wait probably half a year so stores in my area can properly keep this product in stock so I can FINALLY get my hands on this product and in the correct shade which honestly is very frustrating trying to get ahold of this product for so long! The only two cons i have for this product, is the fact that it's hard to get anywhere. Ordering in stores is better than ordering online because then you can see the actual shade range in real life. The second con is that the product runs very dark. Other than that, it's an amazing product, especially if you're a fan of that beautiful dewy look to your skin with a subtle glow. I would rather buy this than the Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood flawless filter which we all know by now that elfs is a dupe for because the price is much better than CT. This product can be worn many different ways, but I prefer to wear it under makeup. To me, it works best that way. I was actually very surprised by the sheer to medium coverage that this product gave. The hype is real! It truly is a great product and I highly recommend it to anyone, especially to dewy, glowy skin lovers!!
Holy shade range!!!This product was so hyped up when it first came out that it literally took me close to a year to FINALLY get my hands on it! And then the fact that it was a viral dupe for the Charlotte tilbury Hollywood flawless filter so it really took off! I love this product and I think that it is worth the hype for sure! It's similar to the Hollywood flawless filter in several ways except the price tag!!! This is reasonably priced, but with the CT, you are definitely paying to have a fancy name in the bottle. I would buy this one over that one any day. The product is also great because it's so versatile. The only complaint that I had is the fact that it was always out of stock everywhere that I went, including online! It took me forever to finally get to try it. Other that that, I highly recommend that you try it at least once!! Maybe it so become any everyday staple for you life it has for me. If you are into dewy, glowy skin, it will be for you, but it's not everyone's cup of tea. The glow that you get from this is not over the top or blinding, it's right in the middle and more subtle, but still faintly noticeable. It adds a pretty glow to any base/foundation and adds another dimension to your foundation. I love the lit-from-within-look of a dewy complexion.
I usually avoid hyped up products. But I've been a fan of this product every since I managed to get my hands on it. I know own this in multiple shades:2 (way to light), 3,5 (new olive neutral shade which is closest to my complexion), 4 (to peachy and slightly to dark),5 (for an overal summery glow/subtle bronze underneath a foundation that might be a hint to light) and 6 (I use this as a beautiful glowy bronzer). Iuse to 3.5 en 6 everytime I do my make-up because I have very dry skin and this gives the illusion that I'm glowing from within (mix it in your foundation or skintint or use underneath for a subtle glow). It doesn't look to shiney and no glitter whatsoever because I do hate a extremely dewy look I prefer a glow from within. However I will say I do not ... MoreI usually avoid hyped up products. However I will say I do not advise using this on itself, especially not when not wearing a tint or foundation because that way it looks like you turned into a tin man/to metallic. Glad ELF finally added shades because I had to mix 2 and 4 for a long time but from now on I will only need 3.5 for my entire face and 6 for a glowy bronzed look I won't be purchasing 2,4 and 5. However the jump between 3,5 and 6 is still quite big. Hopefully they will add a few in between shades.
I was hesitant to try this product because I'm going to be 48 soon and usually products like this will settle into fine lines or make me look like I'm a disco ball. I'm honestly shocked at how much I love this product! I apply it with my fingers and then I buff it out with my beauty blender. The key factor for me is to build it up rather than putting a thick layer on. It layers wonderfully with my foundation. I don't experience any pilling and because I have a matte foundation, it really gives me that blow that I need at my age. It's now been my go-to for over a month. Most of the time I do not use foundation. It gives me great coverage and all I need afterwards is concealer. The texture is light and smooth. I'm happy to say that this does not happen with this product and that's rare for me. I already bought another bottle because the fair shade sells out very quickly. I swear I will literally cry if they discontinue this product! I do Alt and pin-up modeling and this has been a godsend.
Gave this middle of the row rating & let me tell you why. I can see why some love it and some don’t. No glitter thank goodness, just plain fresh clean & healthy skin glow appearance which is great However… for myself, a late 40s woman w/ fair, freckled skin & a pretty good amount of unfortunate rosacea AND that doesn’t like to wear much makeup this wasn’t what I was hoping for. Granted I’ve only used it over my Laura Mercier tinted moisturizer which has no coverage & for leaving the house I prefer, to me I would call this a mirage. I imagine adding it to foundation may give you a slightly less but still a glow appearance. I feel like a woman with clean beautiful healthy skin would love this but what would you need it for because generally your skin already has that ... MoreGave this middle of the row rating & let me tell you why. I feel like a woman with clean beautiful healthy skin would love this but what would you need it for because generally your skin already has that glow IMO. I should have probably tried it with my foundation for this review but I felt I should leave it as be since this is how I wanted to use it- over my tinted moisturizers. It does have that natural healthy skin glow look but I must say shortly after I applied it I feel it diminished a bit. Maybe my skin soaked it up but again I say it’s a mirage
