I'm a fan of the Soft 7 line. I have probably half a dozen of various styles and colors in that line. This particular one as far as fit, comfort and quality has been my favorite yet. I found that it fit slightly larger than the standard Soft 7, noticeably more so in width, so I actually sized down and found it had a better fit for me. I do notice that while the toe box is wider, it doesn't feel especially tall, so if you have rounder "sausage" feet, you might find these squeezing your feet too much. Despite the part of the shoe that contacts the ground being much softer and squishier, the inside of the shoe doesn't feel any different than the firmer soft 7. If anything, it feels firmer. You will only notice a difference when you walk. The soft 60 is much more comfortable to walk in because of this foam midsole. The foam on the soft 60 not as flexible as a broken in Soft 7 if that matters to you. The soft 60 also has a slightly higher stack height by a few mm and it has an additional mm or two of offset aka drop. The insole is different as well. The soft 60 uses a cheaper recycled open cell insole and it has two layers, the bottom layer is a thin glued in liner that is half length. They call this a "wide fit."These are the differences. Different leather, softer and solid pigment not transparent. Different construction. The soft 60 has foam midsole which is cemented to the upper. Size and materials undoubtedly the best. It is super soft and super comfortable. The most comfortable shoe I’ve ever had from Ecco. The only downside to this shoe is the sole. The amount of wear and tear is super high on the sole of the shoe after I used it just for 2 days of walking in the city. Hence my rating.. otherwise it would have been the best and greatest shoe.I wish the sole is more durable but the rest is pretty perfect.Note: I guess it must be better for indoor use like walking in a shopping centre or to work.
I ordered the shoes that the sizing chart recommended. Shoes were too small. No "exchange" option, so I had to return and pay shipping. $200 for shoes, $35 for shipping, now will not be purchasing another size for fear of having to pay another shipping fee, in order to prevent an already expensive $200 pair of shoes turning into a $270 pair. Also, the pair I bought did not qualify for the coupon they sent, probably would not have order had i known that prior.unfortunate...
Didn't really need any breaking in because of the soft leather. Mild arch support felt good for my flat feet. Wore it for 8 hr straight at Universal Hollywood. Looks clean and fairly easy to care for with basic cleaners. I live in Washington so I also treated it with rain repellant. I just wish it had more cushion for impact, so I've been doubling up on my socks.For reference: I'm typically btw 8 and 8.5 with skinny ankles, narrow arch/sole but wider near the midfoot/ball of foot area.

I own four pair of your sneakers..Needed a new pair of black went for the special edition. Best decision.Always great support, look, comfort. Soft 60 has all that, and wow feather weight. That was the big surprise. I do tough wear. Manager at the Oregon Convention Center. I walk on concrete all day, and have to walk the building many times a day. Comfort is critical. I walked all over Europe in this sneaker and never had tired feet or a blister, so the minute I got home, I bought my 2nd pair. I can't say enough about the comfort of this sneaker! I will be buying it in black also for the winter. The reason I gave it a 4 instead of 5 is that the outer sole is showing wear much faster than I expected. I have 2 pairs of the Ecco Soft 7 sneaker and those outer soles don't wear down. I was expecting the same on this shoe. It will still be my 1st choice though...strictly because of the cushioning/arch support/comfort...it can't be beat!
The only way to get pure white leather is chrome tanning. Veg tanned leather is higher quality. These are a true analine veg tanned whit leather, high quality stuff and lasts longer, which is why it's not "pure" white. I just hope these never go mainstream in the US otherwise I'm throwing mine out. I do not want to be one of "those people." For the record, I have the black, white is very nice. No interest in the white, just wanted to educate the other reviewers because ecco is quite vauge and doesn't give much detailed info about their stuff.
