I must admit I slightly dubious about the potential of an electric strimmer. I had a petrol strimmer and got tired of trying to start it and trying to get the nylon string dispenser to work proper.One of the reasons I liked the look of the E-go strimmer was the auto wind string replacer.The machine blew my socks off with how powerful it is and I managed to complete all my work within the battery charge life.I dont go for the all the green cobblers as the power for the machine’s battery has to come from somewhere.A great buy but spare me the eco-patronising.

The charge lasts a long time. I can do my yard twice. I absolutely do not care for the line feed. It doesn’t work at all. I have to manually feed more line

This is a brilliant piece of kit. Firstly it's actually more powerful than my old petrol striker, then the line feed just works, unlike my old petrol one.

My old petrol trimmer was going well enough, and started first time, every time, but it was showing its age. Like any petrol-driven product, it was greasy, dirty, and difficult to put a new line on. It was heavy too, and the thought of having to buy two-stroke and petrol, and mixing it for the new season, just led me to this point.I'll never look back. A big concern was would the battery last, as I have 400 m² around my home, but I needn't have worried; a short charge on the battery of the ST1530E gave me all the strimming I need. The unit is well balanced, and very easy to use. It has two speeds on it, but to be honest, I only use the higher speed when using the optional brush cutter head. The easy-to-refill head is a great bonus. Just measure out about 16 feet of line, push it through the head, so that equal amounts of line are on each side, and turn the head anti-clockwise until the line is completely reeled in. It's so simple, it's brilliant. I have really nothing bad to say about the ST1530E, I'm very pleased with it.
Though only recently purchased the machine can cope with long and short grass and other green stalked plant, bramble quite well. Reloading device save time and wrist ache. Only time will tell how long it will last.
This strimmer is simply the best I’ve ever used bar none, I’ve really put it to the test lately, attacking some serious jungles and this beauty does not let you down!Lightweight, quieter and cleaner being battery but trust me it’s a powerhouse!
