A multifunctional is really an all-in-one device; it is both a scanner and a printer, and often even has a fax function. So effectively it’s a copier, but one that has the scanning and printing functions available separately. All this is a great advantage when you have limited office space. Moreover, you will be able to work faster and more efficiently by using the device’s convenient special functions.

It makes things easier to have the two connected, computer and mobile phone to the printer. Either device has it coming out exactly as seen in the preview before printing, which means fewer reprints I have to make and more done correctly on the first try. Finally, I like to mention that this printer is very nicely designed, and has only helped me do more easily and fewer mistakes. The quality is excellent, not only in the results but the device itself is well made. Very disappointed.. I bought this printer because my old Epson cost too much for ink cartridges and I was constantly having to change them. Printer was a good 10 years old and is still working fine. I bought the ET-4800 thinking this will be great. I set it up using my Android phone and everything works great. I can do everything from my phone. Then I go to use my Samsung Chromebook and the trouble starts. It wont connect when I search for the printer nothing is there. After further research it turns out that this model in not compatible with chromebook. Lower models are compatible but not this one. Because this printer has a screen and you can easily navigate to cleaning modes here, it is MUCH easier to get the printer cleaned up and running than it used to be. Without the onboard navigation and settings, you used to have to go find printer settings in windows, dig through the screens, and find "clean print heads" in the maintenance menu. Those days are long gone, and you can get to the settings you need in just a few seconds. This alone is worth the price of admission for me.The printer itself is lightweight, and has easy accessible doors for retrieving papers that will inevitably get stuck. There is a power save mode. The only error I've had so far was when I tried to print a PDF, I would get "paper size loaded does not match file", and it would ask me if this was ok before printing. I dont quite understand why I got this since the PDF and paper loaded were set to the same settings, but its not really an issue since all have you have to do is hit OK. I was just stymied for a second on why it wasnt printing.Printing from the app is great, as is printing pictures off your phone, although I do wish there were more in-app picture settings, as it would be nice to be able to set specific and common photo sizes in the app. To get all those settings, I needed to use the desktop app. This is a review for the Epson EcoTank ET-4800 Wireless Supertank Printer that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review.

Great print quality for the price
8 November 2022

5* for sheer value for money. After adjusting some settings I've managed to get great quality document printing. I have a tribunal case and need to print photo evidence. The quality of prints is almost as good as the laser printer at work, and easily good enough to present at my hearing. It does lose some points for being a little tricky to set up. The scanning is pretty lousy but I'm sure I can get it to work better if I look into it further. Hi res printing takes AGES but I don't do this often and I'm happy just to let it run while I do other work. If you want FAST hi res you should buy something else but if you don't mind waiting then this is fine. I haven't experimented much with photo printing but the first few photos I printed were not very good. Again, I'm ... More5* for sheer value for money. No duplex scanning = bad value at this price point

This Printer/Scanner prints OK. And I liked the idea of the EcoTank. BUT this printer doesn't support duplex scanning. They don't tell you this upfront. You have to figure that out yourself. They do have duplex printing by way of printing 1 side, then refeeding the printer with the printout upside down. So I figured they would have something similar for the ADF scanner. Was I wrong and disappointed! Luckily my first scan was only a few pages and I was able to edit the order of the scanned pages, but this would be unfeasible for documents with more pages. This hobbled scanner software is unacceptable for a printer that costs $300! My old Epson printer used to scan both sides without issue! Not worth the money.

I don't leave reviews, but hopefully I can save you some money. I went from using a HP OfficeJet 4000 series for many year without issue. To this Epson printer. I wanted to upgrade to the ET-4800 hoping that the tank will help cut back on waste in the environment. It's been less that 6 months, and now the printer has all kinds of issues. It is very loud, the feeder wont catch the paper, when it does it prints a black mark at the top of each page . Customer service wont help you either. They just keeps saying do a deep cleaning which uses up all of your ink then you have to refill it just to have it still not work properly. Found out later my fiancc uses same printer at her job. Epson has long been a staple in my home. This particular printer is lightweight and compact, it's small footprint design doesn't take up much space at all. Unfortunately there is no paper tray, it utilizes an old-school rear paper feed, however I didn't find this to be a big issue, although potential dust could be a concern. The Epson ET-4800 has a sheet-fed scanner with an automatic document feeder, so you can scan or copy multiple pages at once, also has an integrated fax feature. Sadly it lacks support for any sort of flash memory, but the mobile printing capabilities surely makes up for this. Print speed is satisfactory, not the fastest printer in town but it's certainly been adequate for my needs.Overall, the Epson ET-4800 has very good print quality, relatively quick print speed and the low cost-per-print make this a worthwhile investment. In terms of ink efficiency, you really can’t go wrong with any Ecotank. If you're looking for a compact printer with a full set of features, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Epson ET-4800 to anyone. This is a review for the Epson EcoTank ET-4800 Wireless Supertank Printer that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review.

The most awful printer i have ever purchased.
16 August 2022

After dealing with inkjet cartridges for years, I thought that I would finally upgrade to a tank-type printer when my old printer finally gave up. Quite honestly, this is the worst printer I have ever purchased in my life. Despite running the "clean print head" function multiple times a week(!), the print is still spotty, streaked and just plain off. The printer is being used pretty regularly, too, so it's not like it's sitting around and not run. I would have returned it had I not missed the return window. Absolutely would not recommend. Going back to the other big brand, and the inkjet cartridges, as this printer is just not worth the hassle and frustration. Well Designed and Executed Printer

I received this printer about one week ago and was excited to test it out. My current Printer is a Brother MFC-J985DW Inkvestment printer. I will be comparing the EcoTank to the Inkvestment Printer. When I purchased my Brother INkvestment printer the main other printer I was considering was the EcoTank. The reason I chose the Inkvestment over the EcoTank was for the following 2 reasons. 1. The Inkvestment had better reviews with print quality on review sites I trust and 2. Brother printers had a great reputation for ink not drying out and very little waste. So setup on both these printers was very straightforward and easy. The EcoTank can be set up from either your computer or smart device. I used the smart device, but did go thru the setup on one of my pc to see how it went. It was very consistent and easy between both interfaces. I do want to mention to fill the ink is very straightforward and easy. My only concern here is you probably need to wait until it is almost empty before adding more ink. Not sure if it might cause issues or if the bottle has backflow protection. It is overall a very smart system and I had zero spill, mess, and overflow. After Setup I printed some test prints including standard documents, black and white and some color pictures on both regular paper and photo paper. This is where I was very impressed. First the printing on the EcoTank was fast and accurate and beat my Inkvestment Printer for speed. Second the color pictures were excellent and were just as good if not better than my other printer before any tweaking. The Brother Inkvestment had to be tweaked in order for the prints to have the quality that I wanted, but the EcoTank needed no tweaking. My only concern with the EcoTank was that I had to switch the identification of the paper type in the printer for it to feed right. I did this on the computer but it did not impact the printer.Overall this is a excellent printer. I would highly recommend this printer and it is now my main printer in the house. This is a review for the Epson EcoTank ET-4800 Wireless Supertank Printer that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review.
