We were told by promoter not to use local beans due to the oil in the beans. Only to be told by the Philips customer care to use light roast beans. Was told that I would have to clean often if using medium or dark roast. Felt cheated by the promoter. Shouldn’t have bought it without a demonstration. I switched to using grounded coffee for a stronger taste and some fresh coffee ground was in the waste. Also there was fault with the indicator. Very disappointed with the purchase! Customer service not helpful! Sent in for repair and I had to call periodically to check the status of repair. Was told on the third call to Philips that machine was ready for collection. I chose this model because it has a built in grinder. The grinder is adjustable and the container for beans has a rubber seal, to keep the aroma. The machine makes great espressos and all you have to worry about is to add water or clean it when indicated so. Espresso was made well enough. The foaming nozzle is designed to produce medium sized bubbles so micro-foaming may be difficult to achieve. The grinder is quite loud so making coffee in morning will surely be heard across the apartment. The steam pump takes 15-20 seconds to start up and start delivering steam but once it does, it's a steady and consistent stream of steam. All in all, if you are not in a rush, the machine will make great coffee for you, from the freshly ground coffee beans!

I like being able to make a fresh ground cup of coffee whenever I like with a push of a few buttons. Simple controls and easy maintenance. The water filter is long lasting.What I wish were better would be less noisy- don’t expect it to be quiet, the ability to adjust the temperature - it seems to get cold faster, the ability to adjust the serving size- on the largest setting it only fills a large cup about three quarters full and lastly a larger water reservoir would be nice.All in all I really like it but am on the fence as to whether I would purchase it again.
I love the convenience and large amount of options on this automatic espresso machine. Easy to use and a breeze to clean. However I do not like the Lattego milk frother. It does not heat up the milk enough and therefore cools down the cappuccino. It also does not develop a lot of foam. I will go back to my Nespresso milk frother for myna cappuccinos. Coffee is great as is the espresso. Overall I am very happy with my purchase.
I debated between this machine and the lattego, and decided I didn't want to replace the lattego part and wanted simple and basic but with the omfph;) my bestie has the lattego and I honestly see no difference and I love creating coffee art so having the frother separate and for coca and tea use also is amazing. I bought this as a birthday gift for my father. Everything went well when we followed the first steps in the instruction manual such as activating AquaClean filter or changing the water hardness setting. However, when we tried to make coffee, nothing came out from the coffee spout. Only hot water and steam came from the milk frother. We checked the coffee ground container and can see a lot of coffee ground which mean the coffee beans are ground but something was wrong with the machine. We also checked the manual and websites and tried all the suggested methods but nothing worked. This is really disappointing as I have been using Philips products and never had such issue with a newly bought one.
