Fellowes Automax 200m Micro Cut Shredder

Quick, (relatively) quiet and totally destroys anything put though it.

We needed a new shredder. We bought this. After having a back and forth with Rexel for the last 2 years where they've sent us 3 replacements for our auto sheet feed scanner it was decided to just bite the bullet when the feeder on the fourth one failed.We've had this Fellowes replacement for 2 weeks, and so far it seems to do what it's supposed to. The sheet feeder seems to work as expected and the high security P5 shredding is a step up from the old P4 shredder.The only negative I will give (which is my fault for not reading the spec sheet properly) is that the M variant does not allow shredding of CDs - very rare that we'll need to nowadays, but I am concerned that when the need arises staff may accidentally put a CD in the unit.

This product is terrible. I wish I never bought it. Th body is very weak and quality of the machine is very poor.The main issue however is the machine keeps overheating. It’s so annoying when is just keeps over heating.I regret buying this product.

Nice and compact, shreds well, not good for really heavy duty work though

Jam today

New machine delivered yesterday. Oiled before use as per instructions. Fed with just under 3 lever arch files of documents - at up to 6 sheets at a time. Jammed repeatedly but auto-released - until the last time. Totally jammed. Return to supplier organised. My previous machine lasted some years: it was a Fellowes Powershred 62mc and coped for much longer with a similar payload.

Jams and runs when no paper is loaded

This very interesting design does not work. All too often it would jam. But more than that, it would run when no paper was loaded. I spent a lot of time with Fellows tech support, cleaning the sensor, and doing what I could to keep this device. But after 10 days of mostly annoyances with it, I had to return it. This seems like a very common complaint with these devices. Too bad.
