Every thing looks fine so fare as i have only had this light for three weeks. The sunrise and sunset programs are very good and all lights should come with this program on them. You can play around with all of the programs on the light and get it to suite your own tank . It is a bit expencive but when you see how much has gone into this product well it is worth it. All i can say now is that i hope my plants will grow a lot better than they did before , i had the standered Fluval light that comes with there roma tanks and that is i tink mainly to show of the colours of your fish. This light will give you a program that is pre set for plants and the colours of your fish . The original light in our Fluval tank went out, as the switch broke. So i called Lincs Aquatic up and they were so helpful in helping me find a replacement and recommended retrofitting the tank with the LED Aquasky unit. The tank now looks better than it ever has, the light is clean and bright, with very handy app to control it, and set timer for it to turn on and off, even with a sunrise and sunset. The options are endless and you can customise it to your liking and your fishes.

I got this having read lots of reviews. I have to say, I am very disappointed. I bought the 12w version for a 105 litre aquarium ( which is 75cm long ) The actual light bar itself is less than a foot long! Fortunately, I have another LED bar in the tank. Without my other light unit, the tank would be too dark. Sure, it's got different light presets etc, which are good. It's still pricey, in my opinion.

Had many of the cheaper LED lighting systems and they all malfunctioned, either filling with condensation and packing up or just gradually failing one LED at a time. This one is far superior, a well made, robust, sleek design with various settings and plenty of light output. A premium price, but its a premium product, I wish Id got this in the first place rather than buying inferior rubbish. Very happy with it and would recommend it as the best Ive come across.
The app is fine and once you understand it , there isn't much to it, but the instructions are not good. The unit itself gives a good light and holds its programs. There is much less ability to "tint" the colour than I was expecting. Unless you turn the white LEDs down a long way, they drown out any of the tinting red, green, or blue LEDs. Having said this, it lights the tank brightly and attractively.
Aquasky 2.0 is awesome. The customization is endless. I wish there was more guides online about what settings to use, but it's different for every tank, so that makes sense. Features like lightning storms and sunsets are great, gimmicky but still cool.

This unit although not the complete article is near enough capable of providing a close facsimile of a day night cycle. You can either go with the preprogrammed day night cycle which allows you to adjust the fall offs between sunrise and sunset either end of the daylight window.Light levels are fully adjustable with tint to warm or cool.The unit also provides manual program presets which allow you to set any kind of mood to your liking within the tank and all of this through an app on your mobile.. no more hunting for remotes that have gone awol. I wanted an additional LED light to work alongside my existing one - it comes with a number of attachments for quick installation - I actually made my own in this case, due to my tank being fairly new and needing a special bracket. The light is reasonably bright and has a number of different quick modes to simulate daylight, night time, thunderstorms, various colours etc. It also can be connected via Bluetooth via the app, which I am using for quick remote control. It also has built-in 24hr cycles (via the app), where you can set the lights to come on at a certain time of day at different intensities throughout 24 hours - to simulate a real daytime/nighttime cycle. Nowhere did I find clear and concise information regarding what versions of the opposing operating systems ( iOS / Android ) was required to run the control software. A full day of trying different devices ( IPhone 4s with original OS, Hudl with Android ), Android Emulators ( Bluestacks ) building Virtual machines in VMWare all to no avail. Eventually got a working app but not the smoothest or easiest process ever. The app itself is EASY to install when one finds a suitable device - I guess the developers assume ( incorrectly ) that everyone changes their phone every year or more! The controls offered on the Android version by the Android version are more refined than those on the iOS but both need more features to make them even better. Still a good product but mine started to develop moisture on the inside after 2 years of use resulting in spasms of disco lights. I have never dropped it into the water. I think that the seal around light unit became brittle and the warm moisture from the tank penetrated into the light unit. Anyway, Swell kindly replaced the faulty unit with a new one
