Fujifilm GF 1.4x Teleconverter WR
The GF1.4X TC WR is a 1.4x teleconverter for G Mount. Attaching the teleconverter to GF250mF4 R LM OIS WR allows for telephoto shooting at a focal length of 350mm (approximately 277mm in 35mm format equivalent) while maintaining superior image quality. The maximum aperture is reduced by one F stop. As both the lens and the teleconverter are high quality, there’s hardly any deterioration in MTF when the teleconverter is attached. This TC is weather sealed, optically good, built strong and maintains the AF and useful for that extra reach - when you need it....It’s so so steep though. I bought it as a tax write-off but have only used it sparingly. I have not yet come across times when I did need it that often. Only a couple lenses will accept this TC, the 250mm and I think the 120mm only.Gfx 100 users would probably benefit more from the TC as that camera has much better AF and tracking performance than the 50s or 50r. I’m thinking track and field using a MF camera and a TC with the 250mm lens. Possibly Tele landscapes and you really need to get up close like tight sun/moon set/rise shots or wildlife pics. It’s a big big setup though, I found it a bit silly looking when I attached my 250 ... MoreThis TC is weather sealed, optically good, built strong and maintains the AF and useful for that extra reach - when you need it....It’s so so steep though. This teleconverter is very solidly build. It is a hunk of glass and the weight is quite substantial. I have never owned a teleconverter before, but I wanted the extra reach. I use this with the 100-200 and there is no loss of image quality. If there is, it is so minimal it is not noticeable. There is a loss of 1 stop of light; f5.6 is now f8.0. Metering reading, autofocus, and all communication with the camera is there. I'm pleased.

This is a great addition for turning the Fujifilm GF 250 into a 350mm lens. Easy to use, only 1 stop of light loss and images are still very sharp.

Hard to beat the equipment and customer service at Lensrentals. I get great well-maintained equipment, in a bullet-proof case, on time for my shoot and ready to go. If the shoot is cancelled, delayed or I need more time - they are a joy to work with. I wouldn't rent from any other company.
Really works well with the 250 and the zoom! This teleconverter really contributes to the focal length of the lens you use it on. I am so glad now it is a part of my technical choices!
I haven't tested hard for loss of IQ using this on the GF250mm, but it appears to have no loss on my casual shooting. AF and OIS seems on par as well. With my old FF TCs, I would often just find a way to not use them, knowing the cost in IQ loss, but I don't feel that way about this one at all. I'm looking forward to using it on the GF110mm as well.
Things went exactly as they should. The product was perfect condition and a lens that I wasn't sure I would want to keep forever. It was perfect for the occasion. I am SUPER impressed with lensrentals for having a lens that is less common. Packaging, shipping, product, transaction all went flawlessly and exactly as you would hope. I'll be back!
I use this with the GF 100-200mm f/5.6 and am quite pleased with the combo. The degradation of the image quality is very minor and in most cases not noticeable. If I have any complaints it would be that adding this length to the already long 100-200mm lens makes for a really long piece of glass in front of the camera. While I can hand-hold it by taking advantage of the image stabilization in the lens, it is still awkward. On a tripod this is great combination. it allows me to be selective in composing my landscapes in a way that the lens alone does not.
Have been using the GF1.4 TC teleconverter with my GF100-200mm f5.6 lens, and GFX50s II camera for a few weeks, and have shot a variety of subjects including a number of detailed architectural shots. Almost all of my usage so far has been handheld. The GF1.4 TC seems to be optically superb, and works very well with Fujifilm's auto focus and stabilization. Very, very pleased with it.
The build quality, along with the absence of any noticeable distortion is unbelievable.
