I recently bought this product and I am extremely satisfied.
This is a super reliable device for tracking and monitoring important information while riding. I have used it for a 200km, 400km and a 600km BRM rides and I did not face any trouble with the data it recorded. The best part being it can be charged using a power-bank while it’s mounted. I am happy. :D
Did a lot of research into cheaper alternatives before buying this (price at the time of purchase was 17,999). Works as expected, and has some pretty cool training/analytics features via the Garmin Connect app. Would have bought the HRM too, but found that it’s easier/more cost effective to import/combine sensor data from my other wearables with the Garmin file (GPX + GOTOES) before uploading to Strava for a more comprehensive dashboard. Later bought the cadence/speed sensors for more accurate monitoring, and am happy with this computer.
A GARMIN user since 2 decades, inspite of having a FR 735xt on my wrist, just to get things more right went for the 520plus. Excellent price and fast delivery by Cyclop!. But it seems someone's got a bit stingy with the user guide. A few more details would have helped many. The unit came fully discharged. in spite of repeated buttons presses, one and all it didn't start!. Tried plugging in and viola, the settings or menu popped up forcing you to do the configuration while being charged!! OK done. After a week while the unit was blanked out (or sleeping?) I plugged in and it woke up and started search activities. Being indoors, couldn't find any!. At 21% charging stopped since it got very warm ( had to google to find the reason). Got this on sale from Cyclops. Got a good deal and delivery was quick. Garmin 520 Edge Plus is an entry level Smart Cyclocomputer. A very good investment for cyclists who are looking for a dependable Cyclocomputer with good connectivity (Bluetooth, ANT+) and battery life.
I recently bought this product and I am extremely satisfied. If you do not go on mountain trails or are not interested with the mountain biking features then this is the cyclocomputer to go for over the 530 which is the latest. The Map calculations are slower than 530 but is completely manageable.
